After oil change in this Jiffy Lube location in my almost new Lexus , my engine stopped working. We took it to the shop and they said there was almost no oil in the engine. Plus, they never change the filter. Had to replace the motor! Never again we will use them for oil change! read more

I called at 4:45 pm on a Wednesday and was told that they'll close at 7pm and will be more than happy to help me. Got there at 5:30 , Jorge was great!! The service was excellent ! My car has high mileage on it so I asked for the synthetic works and tire rotation. With coupons , I paid only half of what i usually pay at Honda and the job was efficient and properly done. Today 02/17/2019, I went to Jeff Lube in San Ramon, 94583 to service my car. I did a tire rotation to my vehicle and they broke the stud for the front wheel. They didn't mention about it until I found out. Very upset from this company, Really don't recommend it at all. read more

I haven't been to a Jiffy Lube in years because of multiple, previous experiences that were pretty bad (at different locations). I was in this area and had a little time to kill, so I Yelped "oil change," and there was a 3.5 star Jiffy Lube next door... 3/27/18 6:25PM. I've seen 2.5 or less every time I've searched through Yelp in other areas, so I was surprised and gave this place a try. Kenny was great with his customer service and knowledge. I also appreciated his honesty and clarity (they used to really push extra things like air filters, wiper-blades, etc. way too hard) about the services' pros and cons. Normally, I get the standard change or do it myself, but today I upgraded because I appreciated not being pressured while still being informed of what my high-mile Acura probably needed! Way to be professional and friendly! If I don't find any problems with the services, I'll definitely get more oil changes here! read more

I have always thought of Jiffy Lube as just oil changes. I'm an old school mechanic and as I get older I have a hard time trusting others to work on my car. I know when I'm being lied to and cheated. I took my truck in Friday and had brake master cylinder replaced and brake system flushed. Jiffy Lube should be proud of the manager Kenny and the mechanic Michael. I was impressed with the customer service, level of expertise, professionalism and most of all the honesty. No one tried to sell me something I didn't need, like the dealers do. Still terrible, they never gave me a refund, and don't follow up. Almost lost my car to this place. Bad oil change from here lead to my car breaking down on the side of the road and required me to have the car towed to my local dealership to have repaired. read more

PREDATORY BUSINESS PRACTICE To The ELDERLY At DANVILLE JIFFY LUBE. I recently recovered from aggressive prostate cancer surgery (Jan 17th) and started a new job (Feb 16th). Juggling the two big events has been a challenge. When my mother (70 years old) asked what I would like for my birthday, I replied "An oil change would be convenient." She took my Ford Edge in for a basic oil change with a $24.99 coupon I sent her, but I did note that my oil usually runs me ~$40 for my 2013 Ford Edge. She came back with the original invoice and was originally charged over $93. She meekly replied to the manager Malachi W that she had the coupon. He knocked off $15 only AFTER ripping her off in my humble opinion. I told her I never paid more than $40 for the service, but she insisted that Malachi told me my car "needed a synthetic oil". I had NEVER heard this, and I have used Jiffy Lube quite frequently. In sum, I can only assume this predator saw an old lady and took advantage of this. I called the manager of the manager, Caesar, later that night. I politely told him the situation that the service was suspect. He calmly told me to text him my salience plate so he could investigate. It is now Thursday, and I have yet to hear from Caesar. I don't believe I ever went to the Danville location for service, but have certainly been to the San Ramon one among others. Needless to say, I strongly doubt I will be back. To any Jiffy Lube. Ever. read more

NOT GOING BACK AGAIN! This has been my place to go for about 2 years now. It used to be a great place. No more. I arrived after work, when it is usually busy. Only one other person. Score! (so I thought) My invoice says the following: - Check Air Filter - (seriously doubt they checked) - Vacuum Floors - says COMPLETED (was NOT) - Wash exterior windows - says COMPLETED (was NOT) - Windshield washer fluid Level - says added (EMPTY!) - Tire Pressure - They entered a fake number - the lights were flashing saying low air 1st when I was asked if I wanted to see what was due, the guy quickly scrolled through. There were a few things I wanted checked since I plan to drive to Tahoe this weekend. The guy had no interest in doing anything other than the oil change. He closed the screen before I could get a word in. At this point I'm thinking to myself, I don't think I want these guys working on my car so just as well they skip it... Still, super unprofessional and very disappointing. I purposely went to get my car serviced before my road trip. Now I have to make another stop. I first noticed that I was the only customer as I drove up. I then saw that the workers were unfamiliar to me as I usually see the same guy on each visit, even though it's some time between visits. That didn't matter to me, I just noted it. The guys were nice enough and of course it went fast since no one was ahead of me. I was first asked to sign a screen even though I couldn't read what I was signing. I was then given a copy of it, but after I signed. Not a good practice, I thought. One other car drove up while my car was being serviced, so it wasn't a busy time for them. I had a $10 coupon and that was accepted without question. In the past, the cashier has reviewed the bill with me, but this time it was just handed over. I asked if other fluids had been checked, since that information hadn't been offered. I was told, "yes". When I got into my car, I noted that the windows hadn't been washed and the car hadn't been vacuumed. Well, that was okay, after all, I had come here for an oil change, not a car wash. What is troubling is that when I later looked at my bill, I saw that it said "completed" for the vacuuming and washing of exterior windows. If "completed" means not done, then we're good on that. I had asked that the air filter not be checked due to a problem with that on a previous visit. The bill says it was "ok" leading me to believe that it was either checked, or was that the same idea as the windows and vacuuming being done? It should have said "n/a" just as it had said for a few other things. This is the thing, I don't want to visit a dishonest place. Either you did what you said you did, or you didn't. If I can't believe the bill, then were other fluids checked? Was my oil even changed? I did check the oil and it looks like new oil had been added, but completely? I don't know. I have to have confidence in places where i do business. I've been coming here a long time, but I no longer have a good feeling about this place. I think things have changed since my last visit, and not for the better. I see I'm not the only one wondering about this. New management? I noticed the last review and the comment by the owner asking that he be contacted. I'm not going to write to him as there's nothing to be done. It's best to just give good service the first time around and not expect to "fix" things later. Obviously the service has stayed the same since the last person's review, so it must be the way management wants it. read more

Had my son take one of our cars in for oil change. No big deal- been taking my cars there since 2009 according to all my receipts. I noticed "grease" stains on both driver and passenger door plastics. Clearly a boot print. I took it back and told them I wanted it cleaned up. The first person I spoke to was less then pleased to clean it up. When he started cleaning he said " this looks like dirt to me". I asked him why he thought it looked like dirt. He again said it looks like dirt. He was so lazy and just wore an attitude not appropriate for any business. When I asked his name he turns and walks away from me and handed the cleaning rag and bottle to another employee. I asked his name because I told him I was going to make a complaint. He said, my name doesn't matter". After asking several times for his name, each time saying" my name doesn't matter" he them said, " I told you my name once if you had ears you would know". Then I heard a guy in the pit yell " he gave you his name stop harassing my workers". This man "Ken" came at me like I was doing something wrong by asking what one of the workers name was. Ken said "i I heard him say his name was Manuel 3 times". I said "no Ken, don't spin this like I didn't hear him correctly". I asked Ken if the heard "Manuel" say if I had ears I would know his name? Ken said he never said that. Ken told me to get off the property because I was harassing them. I told Ken, I'm not harassing Jiffy Lube by paying for oil change service for the past 8 years. Ken also said" I heard you say grease we don't use grease". I said alright Ken, I see you aren't the one to represent the company's best interest either. I'm not here to debate grease and oil- all I know or that my car is dirty because of your service. Ken never even bothered to look at the "grease" stain. Horrible customer service!!! Not surprised with constant rotation of kids working there. Never taking my cars there again. I give it one star. It would have been a three star rating but I give each star to the three kids working there. Only one star said nothing and cleaned my car without a word. Do not get your car serviced here!! Young kids changing oil over torqued my oil nut and bent my oil pan. Didn't know until I had my oil changed again.When I went back after I learned what they did of course I could not prove it and they would not take responsibility even though my mechanic had to replace oil pan. Not only did these guys fill it up, but they wouldn't even charge me for the service when I offered to pay? Great service... super friendly... very professional. I came in today to get my 2004 Mini Cooper S serviced... and all three Jiffy-Lube staff that I met (Joshua, Roger, Melissa) were incredibly helpful, pleasant, and polite. I came at a slow time of the day (around 10:30am) and was out in under 10 minutes. I wish all service based business (read that as ALL) had employees who worked as hard and valued customer relations as much as these three did today. I'll be back for sure! read more

So, this makes me pretty angry to have to write such a low review, considering I have given such great reviews for these guys in the past, but that is just how awful my last experience was with them. First off, I have literally been going to this Jiffy Lube on and off for the past 15 years, since I started driving and after the last experience I had, I won't ever be going back. They haven't always had such a high turnover rate, but this time I went there, there was not a single person that I recognized. Usually these guys take such good care of me, and I go to them because they give me good advice and I can rely on them. It may sound stupid, but I also go to them because they vacuum and do other services which not many other places do. So I went in to get my oil changed and I have a prius so lately they have been recommending that I get a synthetic oil blend. I'm not sure if the guy was giving me a larger discount before because I know the blend is more expensive, but I also use coupons or get an Uber discount so it usually never comes out to more than about $35 for my oil change. He quoted me a price that seemed very high, but when I asked him about the discount per usual, thinking it would go down a lot after that, he said that it would be applied at the end and didn't tell me the price. I ended up paying around $50 something for the oil change and when I told him that seemed extremely high and that I've never paid that, I asked him to check what I had previously paid, which normally they do, no problem. He told me their computer doesn't go back that far unless it was done recently. Since when?? He said unless I have previous receipts to show him, which I did, and they were all much lower than what I was paying. He said it was because of the oil. I told him that maybe the previous person didn't put that they were giving me a blend, I don't know, but I had still never paid that much. He also said the Uber discount wasn't as high as it used to be? Also one of the reasons I came to them was for the vacuuming, which they said was broken. They also didn't clean my windows, forgot to put my air filter back in and left grease marks on the inside of my car. Not to mention the guy I was dealing with was unpleasant and didn't care to give me advice on anything. No thanks. read more

I pulled in Monday morning first one in pulled up to the open bay and watched the young man walk in slow motion from the back lot and then tell me to wait inside. When I went back in the manage apologized and offered a 50% discount the next time I needed service saying he would note it in my auto record. This Jiffy Lube is always trying to sell unneeded services and falsely quoting manufacturer's service requirements. This includes telling the customer their car need synthetic oil and indicating that differential service is needed before the recommended interval for Subaru cars. DO NOT GO HERE. i would give them 0 stars if i could. i asked them to not vacuum my car& they not only ended up vacuuming it, they went through ALL of my compartments, took all my change except for pennies& looked like they were goin to take my $20 i had in the middle console (you have to open it) because it was crumbled up. they took everything that was in my glove box& threw it everywhere in my car. stole my sunglasses, adjusted my seat& steering wheel. customer service was HORRIBLE. told me my transmission fluid was dark& it would cause my car to shake. the guy rolled his eyes at me multiple times because i told him to just do the oil change. when i drove it out, not only did my car shake, my brakes feel like they're goin completely out. i have a brand new car so no way would that happen so soon. i called them the next day& they said nothing they can do about anything. Was a regular here for a few years but finally got sick and tired of the up sell. They constantly try to push other services where they make more money on. Owner is way too pushy for my tastes. Used up my multiple oil change bookelet and left. FYI - I recent took my acura to dealer who informed me that oil pan was leaking becuase whoever did oil change did not use crush washer (a 15 cent item - that ended costing me $350). I went here for an oil change for my 2014 Subaru Forester. Not only did they overfill by far with oil, but they also used the cheapest oil filter they could find (while charging a premium). To top things off, the oil drain plug was LOOSE so it leaked oil! This could have destroyed my entire motor if it was any looser, or I didn't notice this. How does a shop that specializes in changing oil mess this up? I give them two stars because they were friendly and I've been here before without problems. But after this experience I will never go back. Could have costed $5,000+ for a new motor had I not checked the issue quickly. Guess I'll go back to changing my own oil! read more

I called in to have my emissions system checked out and Ken was awesome on the phone, explaining all of my options and what they could do, and was upfront about their limitations. When I took my car in, Michael took over from there and was excellent throughout the entire process. He got my Acura MDX back into great shape and kept me informed and educated about what he would be doing the entire time.
