Remember when Jimboys used to be good? Now it's a greasy, soft mess.....if you're the manager, you're failing this place.

Absolutely disgusting and unacceptable. I found a huge piece of hair in my food at Jimboy's Tacos, and when I reached out to the company, no solution or apology was offered. Not even the decency of a response. This isn't just a bad experience--it's a health code violation. Hair in food is not only revolting, it shows a complete lack of cleanliness and quality control in the kitchen. What's worse is the zero accountability from corporate or local management. If this is how they handle serious complaints, I can't imagine what else is being overlooked. I will absolutely never eat here again, and I strongly suggest others reconsider before risking their health. Do better, Jimboy's.

We were told that this was a must-try if we were visiting Reno. We were greeted by a friendly girl. Told her it was our first time here and asked what her favorite to eat here. She said the honey chicken was her go-to. We ordered the taco six-pack, two honey chicken tacos, two burger tacos, and a carnitas taco. We were the only one in the restaurant but there were a lot of pick-up orders. Our number was called pretty fast. We also were given mild, medium, and hot sauces. Let me say, it did not disappoint! They are known to be greasy but good! The honey chicken had a nice crunch and a touch of sweetness. It had lettuce, cilantro, onions, diced tomatoes, salsa, and a dusting of parmesan powder. I mixed the medium and hot sauce and put some on the honey chicken taco! It was delicious! The carnitas taco was delicious as well. It had good taste and the lime with the sauces took it to another level. The burger tacos tasted like a burger without all the carbs! It was messy and greasy but oooohhh it was delicious! We would need to come back and try the rest of the menu!

Newer location. Was very clean in the dining room, however it was empty. Was promptly greeted when I walked in, as soon as I was ready the cashier took my order. The food came out very quickly, and tasted like just as expected. Their tacos are known for being greasy and coated in parmesan cheese. If you don't like a good greasy taco this place is not for you. I ordered 2 tacos and a side of the queso fries. The tacos were great the queso fries were potato wedges and a flavorless cheese sauce dip. I'll be back for the tacos, but not the queso. Oh, and don't forget the taco sauce it's very distinct and perfect on a Jimboys Taco.

Newer location with a great staff. Dining room is always kepts up along with patio seating. They do a brisk business at lunch and are always fast. The tostadas are some of my favorite in town, and the steak burrito always delivers. Also, Jimboy's has the B E S T Churros. (Crack sticks)

It looks good here but the grease beneath is not good.

First off, huge shoutout to the staff at both locations. Everyone was incredibly friendly and helpful. We had a group of about 12 showing up and ordering at different times, plus another large party there, and they handled it all really well. The patio has such a great Midtown vibe, and I'm always happy supporting local small businesses. We ordered a little bit of everything: ribeye gorditas with homemade tortillas, street tacos, quesadillas, loaded papas, elote, and I even attempted the AYCE tacos. The carnitas was some of my favorite in town, the guac was delicious, and my friend loved the skirt steak tacos. Plus, the three salsas they serve are all so good. Tacos are always subjective, but I'd absolutely recommend giving Ana's a try because there's something for everyone on the menu. The cocktails are fun too, and I'll definitely be back.

Upon walking in,I was impressed with the patrons, this was a no frills crowd who looked like they were all in on a secret that this place was going to be a really good foodie spot. This is one of those spots where u walk up and order at the counter and they bring your food out to you.I loved the decor as you can really tell the owners are proud of their Jalisco roots. As an added bonus-I do tend to like taquerias that have pics of the menu items on the walls-always been a good luck charm for me that the place would be pretty good. We ordered a few things-A Super Burrito with Al Pastor($13.50)-it was pretty tasty-way way filling-killed my buzz totally-which I guess was the goal-I'd order it again for sure.We Also got a Shrimp taco($5)My wife is from Jalisco,so kinda picky with her Mexican food but she thought it was pretty tasty-one of the most flavorful tacos she has had in a long time.We also got the 2 enchilada plate with ground beef and chicken($15.50)-This dish came with rice and bean-I really liked the rice quite a bit and beans went well with the chips because of the added cheese on the beans. One thing I didn't love was the fact that you had to pay for chips and salsa-I'm sure I'm just spoiled from all the places that gives those out for free but I guess that's the way it goes-pretty sure it was like $3-no biggie. In closing-if u ever find yourself in Reno and u want something other than the commercial stuff they sell in the casinos-I would highly recommend walking across the street from Silver Legacy and walk into this little hole in the wall hidden gem of a restaurant and enjoy yourself a taste of Jalisco -you won't be disappointed.

The bread arrives with that perfect crusty exterior and airy interior that holds up beautifully once it's "drowned" in the vibrant, slightly spicy tomato-chile sauce. The pork inside is tender and flavorful, and the balance of acidity, heat, and richness feels fresh rather than heavy. It tastes remarkably close to what you'd find in Jalisco, which makes it feel genuinely authentic rather than a watered-down version for tourists. We also got tacos dorados de papa and those were pretty amazing too. The micheladas and chavelas are just as impressive. They're crisp, well-seasoned, and perfectly chilled, with just the right amount of lime, spice, and salt on the rim. They pair incredibly well with the tortas and make the whole meal feel even more special. On top of the food and drinks, the service really elevates the experience. The staff is attentive, friendly, and clearly proud of what they serve, checking in just enough without hovering.
