Several years ago, I had my first muffuletta at a sandwich shop in Florida and I thought it was OK, but nothing special. I did not order one from Weinbergers the first several visits because of this and all the other choices we had. My wife and I finally decided to order one to split. The first bite that we took we just looked at each other wide eyed in amazement and said OMG. The reason I decided to write this review is because my wife just texted me and said she is craving a muffuletta. We will probably head there this weekend. We love this place!

Make sure you're prepared when you walk up to the counter-- I thought I was until the dude started rattling off "wet" or "dry" and the list of toppings. I threw up my hands and said "I'm an amateur, this is my first time here!" He slowed it down and walked me through ordering, lol. I went with the Italian beef, dry with the juice on the side. So yummy! I love that it came with a handful of crinkle chips as well. If I was local I'd eat here all the time! The inside is small with a handful of tables and a few extra outside. It was pretty packed on a Friday afternoon!

The atmosphere was pretty fitting for a bbq restaurant. We chose to order the loaded baked potato with sliced brisket and a quarter pound of the German sausage on the side. My husband and I split the potato and it was a perfect amount for both of us. Now I will say, that I consider this five star airport food. I don't expect their airport location to have as succulent meat as their brick and mortar location. So keep that in mind. It is VERY good food for an airport restaurant and I wish more were of this quality. I saw some ladies with the loaded nachos and those looked pretty amazing too. Glad to have another great bbq restaurant at DFW airport. Note: They make the "kolaches" with jalepeno cheddar sausage or German sausage (actually called klobasnik, but who cares!). Just saying.....can you imagine rolling up in the morning and realizing you can start your long travel day with one of those bad boys? We would definitely return.

Food was ready surprisingly quickly and there was plenty of tables available. With the sides and Texas Toast this was a lot of food. Everything was on the more salty side so do get a drink. The brisket was moist and sides were flavorful. Toast was buttery. A nice stopover fit for a Texas layover.

Chicken sandwich Chicken Caesar wrap 3 orders of fries and some sauces. With a 10% tip the total was $58.75. My boyfriend loved the chop cheese 5/5 I was not a fan of the chicken Caesar wrap because the texture of the chicken is off. It was tough and chewy and made me lose my appetite completely. Aside from that aspect the actual taste of the Caesar salad was good. 3/5 My daughter had the same issue with the chicken sandwich, she wasn't a fan because of that. The fries are basic, some were crunchy with a soft inside and some were very hard. 2/5 I am not sure we will return as the food is basic for an expensive price. I would suggest they at least offer some type of combo option to include a side and drink.

I ordered a Chicken Caesar Wrap and opted for a bag of chips. The wrap was ready so fast that I barely had time to put my wallet in my bag after paying. I like fast service, but it's clear that the wrap was premade. I grabbed my wrap and bottle of water and left before realizing that I forgot to grab chips. I went back to the counter a few minutes later and the young lady at the register was very nice and understanding. The wrap itself was dry and didn't have much flavor. It would have been better with extra Caesar dressing. I love McAlister's, but I was a little disappointed that it wasn't as good as other locations, especially given the price. If you're in a hurry and just need a quick bite to eat, then McAlister's may suit your needs.

Friendly service, too, smiles from start to finish, which is pretty pleasant considering he had barely turned on the soda dispensers when I popped in as his first customer at that early hour. A salad just sounded better in the moment than a sugary doughnut or a fast food egg sandwich. Isnʻt the pricing crazy good for ʻairport foodʻ? Or have I been jaded by Maui prices where it is $15 for a side of fries?

I've been seeing tons of videos about how great their Chicken Caesar wrap is, so I finally went to check it out. Guess what? They were out of Caeser dressing. That's my luck. I added their roasted jalepeno spread on one side and ancho chili mayo on the other to give it an extra kick. This sandwich lasted 2 meals! I picked up a small container of the chicken salad, and I wasn't impressed. It lacked flavor. Now, something that did have great flavor...Carrot Cake! There were so many desserts i wanted to try, but I didn't give into the fat kid inside me. The icing on the carrot cake was light and didn't over power the cake.
