#13 Cuban, no it's not supposed to be flat, despite looking like someone stepped on it

It's cool that they're open during this pandemic, but there are numerous issues. - 5 staff working in close proximity, seems dangerous to the staff - the half sub is $9 now, the big is $16 so you might as well walk around the corner, go to Tats and get a real sandwich for about the same price - no more frenchies, that's a bummer (this doesn't impact my rating, but it sucks) - Worst of all look at this photo, I just paid 9 bucks for this flat turd, it tastes okay but it looks like someone drove over the bread and the volume of toppings seems lacking Do better JJ. I'll come back and edit my review! Shout out to the employees working through this fresh hell though. Thank you for your service.

Hopefully this is a fluke but it has been more than half an hour and I still don't have my sandwich. Definitely not freaky fast. More like super slow.

This store is in a great location but has the worst service. I can here today with my mom. The young man taking my mom's order was wearing sweatpants, a backpack, and helmet. I had asked him if he had just gotten into work but he said he was just hot. He was incredibly rude and I felt terrible for the young lady working the shift with him. The boy proceeded to make all 3 of the sandwiches we ordered, without changing into a uniform or even wearing an apron. If he forgot his uniform, fine. But at least take off your bicycle helmet..

I was on my way to the ferry heading home and walking behind an employee. He turns toward a park and began passing out sandwiches to the homeless community there. No attention, no thanks, just a genuine act of kindness. I don't know if it's the store or the employee who showed this kindness but it's incredible and I will be going there soon to support the business!

Awesome.

Coming into this place, you expect another Subway, Quizno's, or sandwich shop style atmosphere. Well, you do get that feeling with the slight notion of a better business model being applied. The sandwich was ready in 10 seconds! I ordered, turned my head, thought about the global hunger issue in Botswana, and there was my sandwich! Amazing! It was a good Beach Club sandwich, with soft bread that was easy to bite into and chew on. However, it wasn't as soft as a Subway sandwich bread, that falls apart in your mouth. It held together with a good, but simple taste altogether. I recommend this place for a quick stop over, or lunch. They didn't make an effort to overload the sandwich or try to stuff you. The pricing for a sandwich shop attempted to be most, but was slightly higher than other chains. If you are trying to avoid buying from bigger businesses or need to grab some quick healthy grub, these guys would be the place to go to. The shop workers have a sense of humor, and deliver your sandwich quickly.

#5 Vito on 7-grain wheat, with a pickle of course. Delicious.

Loud and obnoxious employees. If you order from there, I would advise you not to eat in the restaurant. Sandwich was good.

It wasn't quite incredibly tender, but the marinade added an absolute ton of flavor. more importantly, it was present plentifully throughout the sandwich, so practically every bite came filled with pork I also have to mention how packed together the ingredients are between the buns. when you start eating, it's inevitable that a quarter of the ingredients will fall onto the wrap below, leaving a nice secondary meal to finish off after the sandwich is done. the sandwich is packed incredibly tight during the wrapping process, but it unravels a bit while eating. for me, the major highlights of this meal was the onions and the aioli Starting with the onions, these may be the best I've ever had on a sandwich. They're caramelized amazingly, placed onto the sandwich in astoundingly large pieces, are crunchy, and there's just a lot of them. They're just wonderful both texturally and taste-wise. This sandwich is absolutely lathered with aioli - practically dripping with it. This boosted the overall flavor so much, especially because this aioli was addictingly good. In my experience, the amount of sauce has been directly proportional to how much I enjoyed a sandwich, and when the sauce is this good - it's even on the top of the bun! - i absolutely loved it Somehow the lettuce stayed crunchy despite all the otherwise wetness going on in the sandwich. Props for that The jalapenos were great as well for that extra bit of spicy - I would've loved to have more of them while the bread was toasted well, the one downside was i thought it was pretty hard and tough, which made chewing kind of difficult. I found my jaw to be pretty tired at the end after eating this. I would've much preferred a softer roll that's easier to bite into I've had similar sandwiches from Paseo and Bongos, and in my opinion this does edge out both of those Comparing to Paseo, the sandwich there has way more oil, making it more sloppy and I do like the bread there a lot better, but the pork feels richer and better marinated here (although less fatty), and the onions are definitely caramelized better here as well. Bongos has a pretty similar level of pork with more, but onions are definitely a step down What moves this place above those two for me is the amount of aioli used here far exceeds those other places, which just makes the overall eating experience better For the price (about 14 dollars) this is a really filling meal

This is THE spot to come before Mariners games or nearby concerts and nobody can convince me otherwise. I've tried them several times in the past and now have my dad hooked as well. Their signature Caribbean Roast sandwich is absolutely phenomenal and I have the hardest time ordering anything else when I'm here. I have tried the nachos version of it before as well, and that's equally delicious. The key is definitely that succulent roasted pork. I will say that the sandwich version is MESSY so don't wear white, and also just be mindful if you have plans after. This year, my dad decided to order a pre-seasoned and smoked turkey from Paseo and my GODDD it was good! We made a gravy from the drippings as well which turned out so good too. We also get their street corn that was said to serve 4-6 but it was generous and we had leftovers. Absolutely a MUST try, 10/10 no notes. The indoor space is really cute, but I was confused as to why everything was blocked off and restricted to takeout only. I ordered the famous Caribbean Roast sandwich and a side of rice and beans, which came to a little less than $30. While it's a good sandwich, it felt a bit heavy; I really found myself looking for more acid to cut through the fat and grease. I'm glad I was sharing with Jenny because it's quite a lot for one person. I also noticed toward the end that the bread was burnt. Overall, it's a solid sandwich, but between the stomach issues and the char, I'm not sure I'd go back.

I was a bit confused on where to order until I realized there were kiosks by the front counter. It would've been nice if one of the workers actually had said something to me. Anyway, onto the food. I got the Fast Eddie with fries and it was alright. The meat was bit dry. Yes there was the au jus to dip in and it helped quite a bit, but all the flavors just didn't mesh. It was basically an ordinary french dip. The fries were okay, but the jalapeno aioli was great! That made everything better, but not enough to save the sandwich. Not sure if I would come back, but I would definitely try a different sandwich. One that caters more to my taste buds

Located in the Seattle Center Armory, along with many other food vendors, Big Mike's Sandwich Company is serving up huge cheesesteaks, chopped cheese, and other East Coast-style subs. For $25, I picked up the cheesesteak and fries combo. Not a terrible price for the portion. Waited about 10-15 minutes for the sandwich to come out. You order on a tablet here, and then they call your name. It's a small storefront, so you really have to stay nearby to hear your name being called in the large space that is the Armory. Not much interaction with staff. Plenty of seating throughout the Armory, though shared with other restaurants. The food came out piping hot. Obviously, they cook everything fresh to order because the inside of the fries was like lava. The fries were thick-cut and seasoned to perfection. The sandwich was good. I thought some pieces of the steak were a bit tough, and the roll seemed a bit over-steamed or possibly stale. A good sandwich and decent portion, nonetheless. I'm still going 5 stars here. I think Big Mike's is a great choice if you want a hearty, meat-filled sandwich and you happen to be in the area. However, I think you could be happy with another dining option in the Armory, too. My kids loved the MOD Pizza nearby. While there isn't anything wildly unique going on at Big Mike's, they are still pushing out great sandwiches at reasonable prices with a no-frills ordering process.
