District Manager/owner please respond!!! I've been in this location many times since they have opened, and this was the first time I have ever been treated so poorly. I ordered online and went to pick up at 11:15 AM. I walked in with my mask on and said, "pick up for Jennifer." I was responded by a guy who was around 6 foot tall with a large build and in a rude tone said, "Becky, what do you want Becky?" First, my name isn't Becky. I let it slide. I proceeded to the end of the counter to pick up my order. I asked if I could redeem my free bag of chips. The guy instantly said, "no, I'm not going to do that for you since you already ordered online." I responded with, "they have let me do that before, since it's free." He said, "no, I'm not going to do that for you!" I said, "well they have done it before as a separate transaction." He looked so annoyed with me. He was loud and very rude. I noticed a female co worker come over and read something (maybe checking my or another order), her reaction was complete shock. I was in shock that someone would just yell at another person, especially a customer. I let that slide as well, fine I'm not getting my free bag of chips. I had a drink order. I have been in there in from April to June, and not one time did an employee stop me from getting my own drink!!! He grabbed my cup and said, "I'll get your drink." I replied with, "I'll get my own drink, it's fine." He yelled at me, "it's been like this for a long time." Incorrect sir. I literally have walked with my three year old daughter over to your soda fountain 4 times to get my own drink. Then he proceeded to ask, " do you want those chips?" With this sarcastic attitude. I said, "no, you are so rude." I left. I don't know if he had a bad day, but seriously don't be rude to people. My husband told me I should have gotten his name, but I was in shock that I forgot to get it. He was there around 11:20 am. Also, I have no clue if this guy is the manager and if he is, please train your employees better. To the guy who served me and others after, be kind. I'm afraid he did something to our food. Went in with my emotional support dog (I have the papers) I suffer from anxiety and I've had my dog for over 2 years and never had a problem with her coming in stores with me, a rude employee with blonde hair and glasses with air pods on told me I couldn't have her in the store I then proceeded to tell her she was an emotional support dog she then spoke under her breath not thinking I heard her saying "stupid" and rolled her eyes and shook her head. I found very rude if she had just told me that she is sorry and I couldn't have her in the store or asked for the papers I would've stepped out with no problem the other employee did not have a problem with my dog being in the store. Employees handled a difficult customer. A very rude customer came in yelling at the staff for reasons that wouldn't effect her. She was being so rude to them demanding and they give her their names and corporate number. Her food was ready from the moment she came in but she kept yelling at them. Third times the charm! I'm happy to see this location is under new management. The first time we came they were out of bread and we were told it would take 30 minutes to get our order started. The second time they were closed during business hours. We decided to try again since it's so convenient next to our hairdresser. The staff was kind and our food was good. not only did i get my food extremely fast, the staff here was very helpful being i had never been here before they promptly made sure i was aware of how everything went so well that i was almost ready to teach someone else. not only are they absolutely mouthwateringly good but it tastes fresh as hell, which is hard to come by as of recently...and to top it off my phone had died and i wasn't able to call my bank because my card was tripping out and declined twice so they kindly took what my card would authorize and allowed me to get my sandwich anyway thank you so much i can't tell u how refreshing it was to be in such a caring and warm environment especially with how things are going all around the world ((i got the #16)) read more

If you don't have to eat here, don't. I ordered delivery because I'm sick and wanted contactless delivery, I paid the delivery fee, in addition to a tip, and my order took 2 hours. This would be understandable if I was ordering from a restaurant, but this is a cold sandwich shop that's a block away from my house. I called after waiting over an hour and they told me it would be 10-15 minutes, and then I waited another 45 minutes before receiving my food. I wouldn't have tipped, but it actually automatically adds the tip when you're purchasing online. Overall, it was a pretty bad experience and there are a lot more options in the area. read more

Me and my husband wanted sandwiches for lunch today and we also wanted something different than subway. So we decided to try out Jimmy Johns. We heard about it and never tried it. When we first get there we notice the parking is a little wierd and there is no one else there. So we said ehh well it's sunday maybe people are elsewhere. We walk in and the decor is fine and all. Most of the seating is booth wood benches,(and small i might add if you have a bigger stomache like me)... and the table was dirty with oil stains. Anyway, the food we ordered was not worth what you pay for in our opinon. The place says gourmet sandwiches but they didn't seem gourmet to us. There is not much to them kinda boring. The meat is sliced very thin and there was thin sliced onions, tomatoes and shredded lettuce, all depending on what sandwich of course. The standard bread is a white french type sub bread. The texture is defferent. It feels really smooth on the outside. It wasn't the worst sandwich ever, but it wasn't worth us going back, or craving it, and we have had better elsewhere. Now the chips are different as well. You get 3 options and they are called jimmy chips. They are chips from their company only. So in other words, no variety, no doritos, no lays, no cheetos, etc. Last thing that annoyed me was the restroom. There is one restroom( ok whatever) then i go to the toilet and there was un-flushed urine. So I flush and proceed. I am looking all around for seat covers, there is none. So I don't use it cuz I don't feel like putting toilet paper all over. So i wash my hands and leave. I ask the girl up front, " excuse me , you guys don't have seat covers?" She said oh no we don't. Stopped in at 5pm on May 19 to get two subs to go. For a restaurant that advertises how fast they are, it was the slowest service I've ever seen. Two servers and one left the store after he took my order. The one server left behind took her time baking bread and answering the phone while another customer and I waited. The sandwich wasn't even very good. The mustard was all at one end. Find another jimmy john's if you're craving their sandwiches. This store needs a new manager. read more

Honestly dissapointing... I worked at this location a couple years back. And I like eating here still but EVERYTIME we get a sandwhich they make it wrong! If we come like 30 min before closing it's always a for sure mess up. Tonight my husband asked for no cheese and they put cheese, wanted extra sauce and there was hardly any. Wanted hot peppers and they were out. Ordered the Jimmy ranch and they forgot. Just called at 12:25 on a Saturday for three sandwiches. I was told that they were out of bread and it would be 15 minutes before the bread was done. I told the employee (female) to let me check with the person picking up the order to verify they don't mind waiting an additional 14 minutes. Called back within a few minutes and she then proceeded to tell me it would be 30 minutes and argued with me that she said it would be 15-30 minutes. She most certainly did not. What sandwich shop runs out of bread when you make your own beard? This is not the first bad experience I've had with this location. I won't be ordering again. read more

Not impressed with this place at all. HORRIBLE!!!! Ordered a turkey sandwiche with an Avocado spread I had to look for the spread in the sandwich. I think it was a smear and the meat was I piece. What a joke. No taste at all. The menu shows extra Meat so if I got 1 piece of turkey and that was extra what happened to the rest of it? Did it fall out? I will never ever be back. The best sandwich ever! I usually get the Turkey Tom with extra lettuce, so cold and crunchy good. Normally I get hungry around 10:45am. They open at 11. I place my order online and by 11:10 my sandwich is at my door. Including my coke and pickle cut in 4's. Don't forget to try one of them pickles! First time I had ever heard of or tried Jimmy John's, I was at work and I had just text my boyfriend that I was hungry. In walks a Jimmy John employee to my office and says he has samples. I hardly ever order Jimmy Johns for delivery, anytime I have they've delivered within 10-15 min. Mind you I live less than a 5 min drive from the place. I was really disappointed today. I put my order in at 12:26 pm and didn't get it until 1:21. Almost a full hour. I was studying and not paying attention to the time. They did give me a courtesy call at 1:16 pm to let me know they were busy and they were sorry for the delay and were short staffed. I feel like they should've called me or given me a heads up within the first 20 min. I waited almost a whole hour in which I could've driven myself there, ate, and drove back home in less time and not had to pay the delivery and tip. I always ask for my sandwiches to be cut in half and upon opening it it was not cut in half. Not too big of a deal but if you're taking forever with my food, at least get it right. What the HECK? No cheese included on a turkey sandwich and for $.75 you ONLY have the option of PROVOLONE?! Then, the bread isn't good, the meat is average, and they only put mayo on it unless you ask for mustard. What makes this SO much worse is that there's a Jersey Mike's, Which Which AND a Sprouts all within a 10min drive. Heck, the Sprouts is in the SAME parking lot. And those are just the larger sandwich making options. Plenty of small shops abound AND there's also a Vons and a Haggen's nearby. Smh. My favorite thing about Jimmy John's which differentiates them from their competition is that every sandwich has the option for a lettuce wrap. I love bread, but when I'm watching the carbs, the lettuce wrap option is great. I also love the fresh ingredients. The vegetables are always fresh/crispy and the meats taste good. The relatively quick service is also nice. I'm docking this location a star because I think the sandwiches are pricey compared to their competition and other Jimmy Johns. I was at a different Jimmy John last week and their prices were a lot less for certain sandwich items. read more

When my husband and I go back to Iowa to visit his family every year, we always drive past a Jimmy John's. We never tried it, but I always thought the name of the place was cute. So now that they have opened up in California with a location in the same shopping center of my beloved Sprouts, how could I not try it?! Today was the first I hope of many visits! I walk in and look up in awe of the gigantic menu hanging over the register. Michael (or was it Mark, I threw out my receipt) behind the counter welcomes me and immediately knows that I am a first timer. He proclaims that their sub sandwiches are the best, much better than Subway, and as if on cue, this little girl that's having lunch with her family walks up to me and says, he's right, they really are better than Subway! As Michael Mark and I chuckle, he says honest, I didn't tell her to do that! Michael Mark then describes some of the subs to me, makes some recommendations, shows me the sub roll (and again on cue, another sever in the back steps forward and holds up the roll for me to see), and I go with some of those recommendations--#12 Beach Club (turkey breast, provolone, avocado spread, cucumber, lettuce, tomato, and mayo) and a gigantic dill pickle cut in quarters for a buck. For my hubby who already researched the menu--#8 Billy Club (roast beef, ham, provolone, Dijon mustard, lettuce and tomato) and a Chocolate Chunk Cookie. What really blew me away--as I was paying with my ATM card, out came a bag with my order! How the heck did they do it that fast?! As I sat in my car checking the bag to make sure the order was right, I saw a take home menu/flyer stuffed in the bag that said Subs So Fast You'll Freak! Well, I didn't "freak" maybe because I was still coming out of a sleep in late coma, but I can attest that they made the order freakishly fast, and yes, it was correct. Then upon opening up the subs at home, they were pretty tasty (and of course, better than Subway), as they should be because they are using higher grade products and charging accordingly. So, Michael Mark and little girl who testified at the shop today--you are absolutely correct! I will definitely return. However, I think I will customize my sub next time--in my world, Dijon is better than mayo. And kudos to Michael Mark for knowing his menu and product so well, and the rest of the elves in the kitchen who truly made the sandwiches freakishly fast. I haven't seen that level of professsionalism in quite a long time! Though I also enjoy Jersey Mikes, I don't have the patience for those lines and the slowness of the staff/assembly line. It's tough for me to write this review because our family really enjoys Jimmy John's sandwiches but the inflexibility of this location is really frustrating. About a month ago, we went to JJ and asked for a slim #5 which is $4.99 and comes with only salami, capicola and cheese. Instead of capicola, we asked for ham. They said that would be $1.50 extra. Since we sandwich shop a lot and no other establishment requires such, we decided against buying the sandwich there and left. 2 weeks later, we went back and asked for the same thing and was given the substitution without any extra charges. Last Friday, I went and asked for the same thing and was told it would be $1.50 extra. I realized it was the same crew as the first time I'd asked for it so I said fine since my son really wanted it and since he also decided that he wanted to be healthy and add lettuce to his creation this time. I asked for lettuce to be added and was told I couldn't have lettuce since I was getting a slim. I said in reality I'm no longer getting a slim since you just charged me $1.50 to get ham instead of capicola. They said no. Ok fine, the sign does say just meat and cheese. I then asked for the sub instead which is $6.49 since that does come with lettuce and a bunch of other things my son didn't want. I asked them to take off the 5 things he didn't want and leave it with the salami, ham, cheese and lettuce and they said no they would still need to charge me $1.50 extra since the sandwich didn't already have ham so that would be $8. I said now you are taking away 2 meats and I still get no credit for that exchange. They instead recommended that I get the #9 for $9 so that I could get salami, ham, cheese and lettuce. The original sandwich was $5 so essentially the only way I could switch one of the meats and add lettuce was to pay $4 more for the sandwich. Since I'd agreed to pay the first $1.50 extra, I asked for a side of lettuce and they said they had no way to charge me for that and had no container to give it to me in. I then suggested that they use the papers they put the sandwiches in and they said they couldn't do that because it violated the County's Health Code. This makes no sense to me how it's ok for the sandwich to be placed in this same paper but yet it's a violation for the lettuce alone to be placed in it. Maybe they shouldn't be using it for the sandwiches if it's not safe for the lettuce ?!?!? Please note: I have not seen any sign at this location that prevents you from substituting a meat for another one of like price. At this time, I'm not sure if it's just inflexible employees or if it's the way this particular location chooses to run. I understand that this is a franchise, however it damages the Jimmy John's name for a location to be so inflexible. Looking at this situation another way, it was essentially $2.50 extra just so I can get lettuce added to my son's sandwich, if I accept the fact that I was already willing to pay the $1.50 extra for the ham and apparently according to the employee, only the $9 sandwich allowed for what I wanted. All I wanted was lettuce. $2.50 for lettuce. NOT REASONABLE!!! read more

Pretty good, I would say its pretty similar to Jersey Mikes. Sandwich was tasty, not too many veggies but still had good flavor. One neat thing, they have pickles as a side.
