I set this reservation for Mother's Day, two months in advance. Twice, they screwed up the reservation time and I had to call them to correct it. Also, I specifically asked NOT to be seated next to the kitchen or the bathroom. Their kitchen is totally open, with guests being seated right next to it, including us. I am hard of hearing and haven't been able to afford new hearing aids. I spent the entire Mother's Day meal, MY Mother's Day, in almost total silence, because trying to hold a conversation was fruitless, to me. Lastly, our waitress had to come back, twice, to have us remind her of what our order was. Really, I expected a whole lot better than this. Loved this place. What made it special was the service that my friend and I got. From the moment we stepped into the restaurant, we were treated absolutely wonderfully. We were able to ask questions about the neighborhood, ask for a place to go dancing and time was taken to answer these questions. The food was wonderful! We received two free desserts. It wasn't that it came with the dinner but we were told that they made too many desserts and we had the opportunity of having them for free. They were excellent. The fresh cookie with ice cream on top was wonderful. I definitely would return. Very friendly and very good food. The sweet potatoes is a must. read more

The service at Jimmy's on Broadway is absolutely excellent. They are very attentive without being overly pushy and had a great attitude. That being said, the food was nothing to write home about. I ordered the Homemade Fried Chicken. The breading was tasty but due to the gravy being poured directly over, the crispy texture was lost. The chicken was slightly undercooked as well. The mashed potatoes had a great texture but the flavor was unconventionally tangy, not to say that it was bad. They chose to keep the roots on the carrots which I found interesting and the brussel sprouts could have been cooked more. This review is not to say I wouldn't come here again, but I certainly would order something different on the menu next time. read more

This is solid restaurant with a good assortment of dishes. I don't think they have a specialty. I can't really call them Italian or Northwest cuisine, but they have decent fare across the board. Makes sense, as they are a hotel restaurant. Still, a restaurant ought to have some sense of identity. Crab cakes were homemade with a decadent chipotle aioli. Pasta Bolognese was incredibly heavy, but ridiculously delicious. They had a pie and ice cream dessert that was perfect for my tastes: tart and not excessively saccharine. I was not there for happy hour, but I did see the Pasta Bolognese on the happy hour menu. I'll probably go back sometime for an after work happy hour or lunch on a day off. It's very casual with reasonable prices. Not exactly the place to have a cozy dinner, but fun for a lazy afternoon or a quick bite. read more

This is one of the few decent restaurants in the area of First Hill. Sometimes it is good sometimes just ordinary. But watch out for the drink prices after Happy Hour. I was charged $11 for a Scotch Manhattan (Rob Roy) which is the most I ever paid, and when I complained, the bar tender said, "Hotel drink prices!" Thanks, but no thanks. read more

My husband and I stayed at the Silver Cloud while on business this week. We didn't feel like walking outside so opted for the hotel bar. I'll be honest I was apprehensive at first. I've traveled a lot and ate in many establishments adjacent to the hotels I've stayed in and have not been impressed. I AM SO GLAD we gave it a try! Service, excellent. Drinks (right down to the cappuccino with dessert) perfect. Food, amazing! My filet with mashed potatoes and garden vegetables was as good as any steak I've had at the Met. I love this place! if you are into spicy drinks you have got to try the Mexican Radio. It is delicious! The staff is super friendly and it's a very pleasant atmosphere. I had the chicken quesadilla during happy hour for about $6.25 and it was very good. I tried the calamari sticks last night, and I'm not way too sure what I thought about those. I have went to Jimmy's on Broadway twice now. First time I had the salmon medium rare. It was absolutely perfect. The second time I had the tenderloin, it was one of the best meals I have ever had. I'm not a huge fan of the bar scene on Capitol Hill during happy hour, but Jimmy's does it really well. The setting is more geared towards businesspeople and hotel guests, which is a nice change, considering its proximity to SU and SCCC. It's a nice, quiet place to spend time after work, and their happy hour prices are awesome! Great food, great bartenders, and a solid alternative to the other bars on the HIll. read more

I came here for lunch while staying at the hotel and was really impressed with the beer selection and quality of food. Yes, it's a little more expensive than you might pay for a similar meal elsewhere, but it is a hotel restaurant.. I loved the fact that they offered many dishes in full and half portions. I was able to get a nice green salad and a half portion of the fettuccine and not feel too full. The big downside is that the bar closed at 11pm on Thurs night. read more

It looks like a decent place from the street but has no hostess...just a sign that says 'please take a seat'. So I sat in a booth for at least 5 minutes while college kid waiters walked right by me. I come here every other week. Sometimes twice a week. The food here is always good. Always. I'd argue that the quality of food at Jimmy's is some of the best you can get within a mile radius of Seattle U. They uphold their entire staff to a pretty high standard. The service here will ALWAYS keep me coming back. Their waitstaff is seriously the best. They're ALL very kind and loving people. You can tell the waiters work hard as a team because they tend to help each other out a lot and they all seem really close. I come here so often that I can guarantee a good dining experience. I'm pretty picky when it comes to service and I always expect good food whenever I'm spending money somewhere so it would be a good idea to trust me with this one, guys. read more

Happy Hour & Breakfast were both very impressive. We were staying at Silver Cloud - Broadway for the night and Jimmys is right off the lobby. It was late when we got in but needed a beer & late night appetizers. Happy Hour starts at 9pm daily and we enjoyed a tasty bacon arugula flatbread along with some nachos. They offer a wide range of beer on tap too. For breakfast, we returned and again were pleased. The Croque Madame is incredible and came with a generous bowl of fresh fruit. Jimmy's is the Silver Cloud hotel restaurant and I'm usually not a fan of hotel restaurants; however Jimmy's has changed my opinion. We visited twice, both during their very generous happy hours (there are two!); so my comments are for the HH menu only. The employees were very friendly and helped us quickly and were very attentive. We tried the Cone O'Fries (with rosemary and parm...yum!), Bruschetta and Chicken Quesadilla; all delicious and presented beautifully. I'd definitely stop in again for HH, would even consider staying at the Silver Cloud simply because Jimmy's is downstairs. read more

We regularly work through the list of Yelp's top 10 restaurants in this category, and it takes a lot to impress us. As a relatively new restaurant, Jimmy's was a pleasant surprise that delivered with flying colors. Delicious, well-presented food in good sized portions. Even the house coffee was excellent. The service was prompt, cheerful, and the right mix of attentive yet unobtrusive. What can I say - I have absolutely no complaints! Best thing about this place is the breakfast - The server Brendan was on top of it all, even when it was busy I got my lox & bagel asap (and its tasty!) with a coffee to go. Yum...Sunday afternoon my friends and I stopped in for lunch and very happy with our meals. I ordered the BBQ Chicken Salad and it was outstanding. When I asked for a recipe for the sauce, they happily gave the paper copy. My friends order the Lemon Roasted Chicken and love that there we so many wonderful flavors to enjoy.
