$5 for 15 pan-fried pork dumplings? You can't beat it!!!!! Little walk up window, no where to sit (you're lucky if you get napkins or utensils), where you just order and walk away (park across the street has some benches and tables). Super fast service, have your order and cash ready to go!!! It's cool to see everyone in the back making all the dumplings. Dumplings were perfectly fried on one side, and the chive and pork mix inside was juicy. Love this little hole in the wall dumpling shop and will definitely return!

5/25/2026 I see what the hype was all about 15 pork and chive pan fried dumplings for $5 cash! Little wait in the line yet very quick customer service had food in hand about time I handed over my money. Cost with sauce of your choice, find a small ledge and dig in. Great way to start my Chinatown food crawl recommended by many

$5 for 15 fried dumplings! Pretty great deal, but the dumplings itself was nothing out of this world. It wasn't bad, but I wouldnt say the greatest fried dumplings I had either. It was quite doughy imo, but it did taste better with some sauce. You order through the window, so there's no seating. Cash only!

Found this spot on TikTok and these were the best dumplings I've ever had in my life. Very quaint spot in the middle of Chinatown and it's cash only so come prepared! 15 dumplings for $5 is an absolute deal and you won't find that anywhere else especially in NYC!

Jin Mei dumplings were great. Got there right before the rush, cash only place. Filling is great and generous and they have a few sauces on the side as well. The buns were delicious. Definitely one of the best in Chinatown. Get there too late and they will sell out.

I came with a friend to get their dumplings, but unfortunately it looked like they only had their fried dumplings left when I came. No worries, that's what they are known for. Service was relatively fast, we waited maybe max three minutes before getting our dumplings, and there is a small metal table outside to eat by. You may have to share the space with others, as it is mostly a takeout spot. The dumplings were fine, it was not my favorite. The wrapper is a bit thick, and the meat not as flavorful or generous as I would like? Personally, I do prefer steamed over fried though, and my friend loved it so he ate it all. Personally not my favorite, but I would recommend you try. Can't beat 15 dumplings for $5.

Can't beat $5 dumplings and a $2 scallion pancake! Quick, inexpensive and delicious, what more can you ask for.

Get the 15 pork and chive dumplings for $5! There was a line but it moves quick, they're pumping these bad boys out fast. Can't quite explain it but there's just the perfect doughy chew to these dumplings. Not very stuffed with filling but good flavor and great texture. A tasty snack to share with someone and sit at the park on a nice day!

A year ago, I thought the pork buns were okay. Today -- it's a craving! $5 for 10 small and juicy pork buns but it's often sold out. The $5 for 15 fried pork dumplings are still yummy even if they isn't a lot of meat. Add the sauce from the counter and eat them while they're fresh. Lines seem longer nowadays but well worth the wait. Cash only -

This tiny spot in Chinatown is as authentic as it gets. You order at the window, expect a long line and be prepared to get your money's worth. For just $5 you get 15 fried dumplings. That long line is worth it because let me tell you those dumplings were full of flavor

I have seen enough little videos on my social media pages that pop up about this spot. So today I decided to leave for work three hours early and head to this spot. Seen some influencers there when I arrived but I'm about the food. So ordered dumplings and steamed pork buns. Quick service indeed. Freshly hand made, oh yeah. And you can't beat the price. 15 dumplings, $5. 10 pork buns, $5. You can't get any better than that. And they taste amazing. Gotta put some of the light sesame oil(or could be light soy sauce) and some of the siracha chili sauce to get them even more happy. Nice, hard working family business in a small storefront with a counter right at the door. Cash only as well. Well worth the hike and looking forward to going again later in the year.

Perhaps not the best dumplings and buns that I have had but they are pretty good and really can't beat the price. Friendly service with a smile.

It's affordable, quick, and filling. I got the 15 pan fried dumplings for $5 and although there may be a line, it moves quickly. You order at the counter and they package the food and hand it over. I paid cash. The dumplings are delicious, there is a deep soy sauce flavor to the filling and the dumplings are crispy and oily. Perfect place to go if you're in the area and hungry.

Got off the E train and when we looked for Chinese food, this place popped up with good reviews and it was just a short walk from where we got off the train. My buddies ordered the special lunches and we also got two types of xlb's, beef chow fun, and some fried dumplings. The special lunches come with a little fried rice, cold garlic flavored noodle, choice of egg drop or hot and sour soup, and main side. My buddies all enjoyed their meals. The beef chow fun was also really good and beef was nice and tender. The xiao long baos were excellent and is comparable to any place in California like DTF. Nice and juicy and great with some ginger, soy sauce, and spicy chili. Friendly service and food comes out pretty quickly. Credit card is accepted. Bathroom was also very clean, which is sometimes rare in some Chinese restaurants I have been to. If you're looking for a good Chinese meal, stop here when you're in the Chelsea area.

"How 'bout there?" he responded pointing to Excellent Dumpling House. It was directly across the street. I pulled up Yelp, saw good reviews and readily agreed. At 3:30, the restaurant was empty. There were a few takeout orders, but we were the only people sitting down for late lunch. And y'know ... it was pretty good. Wonton soup is what I'd expect in Chinatown. Wonton wrappers were thin -- my preference -- the stuffing delicious and the broth flavorful. They were generous with the beef in our chow fun. Good, but the noodles needed a jolt. So I asked for soy sauce which was sort of a solution. Shrimp with vegetables was great. A lot of shrimp, too. There are lunchtime specials on weekdays, reasonable prices, and nice people work there. Next time it makes sense to try dumplings since it is, after all a dumpling house.

Located within the historic Chelsea Market building--a former Nabisco factory where Oreo cookies were first produced--the restaurant feels theatrical in the best possible way. The soaring ceilings, dramatic lighting, and energetic atmosphere create a sense of occasion from the moment you walk in. It feels less like simply going out to dinner and more like stepping into a beautifully staged production. I started with a Botanist Gin Martini with a twist, which paired wonderfully with the meal. The surprise star of the evening was the new Cucumber Tiger Salad. The balance of flavors was exceptional: bright acidity, a pleasant touch of heat, and just enough mint to make each bite feel fresh and exciting. Every so often the mint would come through and suddenly all the flavors would click together in a way that made me immediately want another bite. This is a dish I would happily order again. Next came the Edamame Dumplings. They were delicate and comforting, especially when enjoyed with the accompanying broth. The broth adds depth and richness that elevates the entire dish. My only suggestion would be the slightest touch more salt, perhaps even a finishing sprinkle of black volcanic salt for both flavor and presentation. I also found myself wishing there were a bit more of that delicious broth because it contributes so much to the overall experience. For my entrée, I ordered the Glazed Alaskan Black Cod, and it absolutely lived up to its reputation. The fish was rich, buttery, and perfectly prepared. What impressed me most was how thoughtfully the accompaniments were composed. The pickled cucumbers brought brightness, acidity, and crunch, while the black bean and eggplant relish delivered deep savory notes and unexpected complexity. I'm generally not an eggplant fan, but this relish was outstanding. The cucumbers and relish sit at opposite ends of the flavor spectrum, yet both somehow make the cod even better. Looking back, I think a glass of Sauvignon Blanc alongside the cod would have been the perfect pairing. I finished with the Miso Caramel Milk Bar, which was spectacular. Decadent, sweet, salty, and touched with just enough umami to keep every bite interesting. The chocolate crumble underneath added a wonderful crunch that contrasted beautifully with the creamy ice cream and luscious caramel sauce. Every component worked together perfectly, creating a dessert that was both indulgent and sophisticated. From start to finish, the meal felt polished, thoughtful, and memorable. Thank you!

Then the scallion pancakes which were crispy and airy paired with this very interesting sauce that was clear but tasted like sweet and sour sauce. The hand-pulled noodles *gasp* weren't hand pulled. "BBQ" chicken in the other noodles was very dry. Sea bass portion was very small. Scallion pancakes were good. Shrimp dumplings were the highlight.
