I liked these dumplings although the wrapper was inarguably too thick and they weren't sealed well along the edges. The meat was also a little bland compared to other dumplings I've had in Chinatown. Dumplings come in two sizes - there are 15 in the small and it's a steal at $5. I really liked the hot and sour soup which was a bargain at only $2. Would definitely get it again. This is a literal hole in the wall, you don't even go inside to order. They did have forks but no napkins or other utensils out which was a bit annoying because I had to bring the soup home to eat it. They do have other menu items and I've heard good things about the scallion pancakes, but I didn't try them today. There are better dumplings around Chinatown at similar prices but overall? My favorite bao zi in Chinatown! I'm so happy to see social media used for good and making Jin Mei viral so that they are gaining so much business. My favorite are the XLB ($5 for 10). The bao zi is so fluffy and meat is full of flavor. Service is super quick and I'd advise to study the menu before going there so you're ready to order at the window.
