Brand new spot, had lunch today. Got kung pao beef from the lunch menu, and it was fresh and delicious. Sauce was savory, fully seasoned, a little sweet, could taste the oyster sauce, and perfect consistency. Beef was extremely tender (clearly velveted), veggies were crispy, nicely diced, and had zucchini, which I enjoy in kung pao, and there were plenty of peanuts. It came out hot, though not piping hot, which is one of my favorite parts of eating in at a Chinese restaurant, so maybe the wok could be a tad hotter? Could also be spicier, but now I know, so I can ask for that. The lunch price is very reasonable. $9.50 for beef dishes, $8.50 for chicken dishes, and there were vegetarian lunch options. It comes with either soup or an egg roll and white, fried, or brown rice. I got white rice. The hot and sour soup was very good. I consider myself a hot and sour connoisseur, and this hit the mark for me. Velvety, seasoned, not over starched, and delicate threads of egg and soft tofu. After tax and tip, $12.25 for a sit down lunch with high quality Chinese food? Win! Restaurant is very nice. Spacious, clean, nicely decorated, soft music playing. Service was great. Will be back for sure and will probably get takeout or delivery soon, so I can try some other dishes. Glad to have quality Chinese so close! read more

I received and AD in my mail the other day and decided that I would get my first takeout order from here. I called in to place an order & the gentleman that took my order was friendly. The order process was quick and easy. I ordered the sesame chicken with fried rice & orange chicken with fried rice along with 2 egg rolls. Everything tasted fresh, and was very flavorful. My husband said the restaurant was the cleanest place he's ever seen before. It was very nice inside, and we can't wait to dine in with our family next time we visit. read more

We tried JJ's for the first time for take out and were pleasantly surprised. The Szechuan Style Sliced Chicken was excellent with a nice flavored sauce, nice level of spice, tender chicken and plenty of vegetables. The Hunan chicken was good. The Mongolian beef was flavorful, not too spicy and the beef was better than most that I have had, less vegetables than expected, but had plenty in the other dishes that we shared. Service was nice and attentive and the place is clean but the food was not good! The Szechuan beef had a slimy and chewy texture which completely turned me off from it and the orange chicken did not look or taste like chicken and was more akin to some kind of fish. read more

Our first visit to JJ's Wok. The seating area is open, bright, and clean, with minimalist decor, and we felt welcome. Our food came quickly, exactly as ordered, very delicious, and the portions were generous. The Crab Rangoon was very tasty and fresh. The Szechuan Pork vegetables were the perfect texture, pork was tender and spicy. My son's Szechuan Beef and Scallops was tasty, well-seasoned, and oh so tender! My wife had Moo Goo Gai Pan and the taste I tried, melted in my mouth! The price was a great plus , compared to other area Asian restaurants, the total cost was noticeably lower. Our first time here, out doing errands a bit far from our home in Georgetown, and so glad we stopped in. The dining space is open, clean, and bright, with tasteful minimalist decor. The waitstaff are attentive and professional, and we felt very welcome. The hot green tea was served in a lovely pot. Our food came quickly, exactly as ordered, very delicious, and the portions were generous. The pan fried potstickers were tender and not greasy with a flavorful sauce. The Mu Shu pork vegetables were the perfect texture, not runny, and the pancakes were large and soft. My son's Lo Mein chicken was tasty and well-seasoned. My comment today is related to the food quality. This was my first time visiting this location. I hoped to have rated this restaurant a 5, but after examining my rating, 3.0 is a fair assessment. I was not pleased with the Thai Tea. If you are familiar with Thai Tea, I highly recommend you shy away from ordering Thai Tea here, after two sips, I had to dump it. The entry I really could not finish it because the spices and taste were not there. The service was welcoming but the food quality as expressed earlier just was there. Good fast service , small and quiet inside went at dinner time as well as lunch bever too busy , the egg rolls , noodles , Katsu chicken , orange chicken , moo goo ga pan all very good , only thing I didn't enjoy was the pot stickers ( steamed) or the wonton soup as the inside didn't seem fresh n the menu didn't describe very well . overall would recommend as the prices are great and they have good , fast service read more

Saw the Yelp reviews and decided to give it a shot. We walked in 45 minutes before close. The person at the counter suggested we get take-out. We have 3 young kids and wanted a sit-down. I wasn't even aware of this place until I received their flyer in the mail. I've been looking for exceptional General Tso's since Chopsticks on Airport closed years ago. Saw General Tso's chicken on JJ's lunch menu, so decided to give it a go. Although the sauce was flavorful, the meat was ping pong ball sized chunks you have to cut up. I prefer bite sized pieces you don't have to cut. Also very few veggies (a few pieces of bell pepper and jalepeno). Why can't they add some brocolli or stir fry veggies? Their recipe is almost identical to another nearby restaraunt, so I wonder if they're related. The hot and sour soup was decent, but not great. Service was prompt and attentive. Maybe some of their other dishes are better. Probably won't be back unless I'm in a rush. read more

I ordered Takeout food from this restaurant. The wait time was very short and the food was excellent. I ordered the Four Treasures dish and my boyfriend ordered the General Tso's Chicken. New to the area, we were scouting out a place to call a favorite for Chinese food and we found it! JJ's Wok offered friendly service by phone when we had a few questions regarding the menu to order online. They did not hesitate to offer to take the order by phone just to ensure we received exactly what we wanted. Delivery was quick and courteous. The food itself was steaming hot, fresh ingredients, and scrumptious flavor. The portions are large, in fact, we will enjoy leftovers tomorrow. I had such high hopes after all the reviews that I drove from Round Rock to Pflugerville for it. I ordered crab rangoons, a cup of hot and sour soup, pan fried dumplings, egg rolls, and honey crispy shrimp. I started to order online and noticed there was a $1 convenience charge so I called the order in instead and saved the $1. The total was $39 and change. The order was ready when I arrived and the man at the counter was very friendly. The place was really clean, too. The food was still plenty warm when I got home. When the spousal unit opened the dumplings she was disappointed that we got steamed rather than pan fried. Turns out they were pan fried, but only on one side. So on to the review of the food Since I've already told you about the pan fried dumplings let's begin there. They had literally zero flavor unless dipped in the dark sauce. The hot and sour soup was good. A little thicker than I am used to, but good not great. As thick as the soup was the sauce for the honey crispy shrimp was watery. The portion was ample, but loaded with broccoli which is fine with me since I like broccoli. The spousal unit not so much. The egg rolls were the best part of the meal. Fried perfectly, but nothing spectacular as again very little flavor and very watery sweet and sour. The crab rangoons were large and filled nicely with the cream stuffing, but if there was crab in them we didn't find it or taste it. In fact, they had a sweet flavor that I recognized form a couple of other places around town. All in all we would probably visit again if it were closer, but it is simply not worth the drive. We can get just as good if not a little better closer to home. read more

Thank God we have a new Asian restaurant for the Wells Branch area! JJ's Wok is a few doors down from HEB close to Wells Branch Parkway and Interstate 35. This restaurant is new, VERY CLEAN, nice staff, tasty food, and reasonable prices. I had "China Town" plate off the LUNCH menu. Shrimp, beef, chicken, mixed vegetables, in a brown sauce. Your choice of fried or white rice. You also have a choice of soup or egg roll. I chose egg roll and it came with a delicious sweet and sour dipping sauce. $10.99 Nice low key music added to the atmosphere of this special new dining experience. I noticed they offer many chicken dishes on their DINNER menu for the same price. In addition to Chinese dishes, they had a good selection of Thai dishes as well. Wanted some Chinese food and found this place super close to my house! Prices were very reasonable so I gave it a shot and am so glad I did! Delicious food & was exactly what I wanted! Quick service and very polite Togo hostess. I had the Tso's chicken and enjoyed that it had a little extra kick to it! The crab rangoons were some of the better ones I've ever had. I loved the way the lemon chicken was prepared in breaded strips. The orange and sesame chicken pieces were big. They all had great flavor. We waited along time to get waited on but, our server was nice. Other customers walked out due to lack of service. Nice set up. Service will get better I' m sure once they hire more staff.
