Pizza is so expensive these days... I guess everything is expensive. But, when we've ordered from Joe's in the past it felt like not just a treat, but a good value. I always thought of Joe's as one of the best pizza's in my neighborhood....but the last few times we ordered from them the quality had decreased. Hardly any pepperoni and the worst part was that it was a bit soggy. So no bueno, Joe. We usually spend in the ballpark of $75 for two pizzas.... and when they are soggy it really feels like a waste. Not as good as we had hoped. Online order was a breeze, and it was ready on time, but the flavor was just not there. Not much in terms of quality for the crust, sauce, cheese, or toppings. We ordered this pizza at midnight thinking that it was the Joe's on Spring st... then realized that it's not. After reading the Yelp reviews we were sad and nervous about what was going to be delivered. I'm happy to say that it's amazing! They delivered it pretty quick and it's soooo good. They put a really good amount of cheese, the sauce is great, and the crust is amazing! The only little issue was that the pizza got a little soggy. We didn't mind. I went to NY a month ago and was craving ny style pizza. This location is the closest to me and also had the best reviews, so i placed an order for delivery at 11:20ish. It was supposed to be delivered by 12:20 -- that got delayed to 12:45. I finally got a message stating that my order had been picked up. Then at 12:15, i got a text saying my order was cancelled. Really disappointed, especially because all the reviews claim that this location has fast delivery. I virtually waited an hour to have my order cancelled. The next day, I tried to order AGAIN, but this time, via Postmates. I ordered the grandma pie -- it was finally delivered about 40 minutes later.. and there was no effing basil. It doesn't look anything like the pictures posted here. I called immediately, and there was no answer. I called repeatedly for the next hour. Still never got an answer. Eventually gave up, and ate this very mediocre pizza. I would not recommend this place to anyone. read more

Ordered a Pepperoni, Mushroom and a Cheese Pizza from Joe's Pizza and instead got a Pepperoni, 3 mushrooms and Black Olives from Lorenzo's. Also the order came in like an hour late and not until we had to call in to Joe's which just rang and rang and wasn't even open and I had to call GrubHub customer service to get help which I got a $5 credit for but still, got a whole family of people here waiting. Pizza was good cheese and sauce portions were good but the pizza showed up damn near frozen. Once we heated it again for 10-15 minutes in our oven then it was ok. One of our guests ate the pizza backward, crust first. It's like twilight zone tonight but must be a Hell of a Crust I guess. read more

Joes is one of my favorite pizzas in LA. Which of course is due to the fact it's NY style. Greasy tasty and delicious. In fact 9 times out of 10 if I think about Joes I have to have it and get the craving out of my system because it never disappoints! I've always complained to my gf why can't LA pizza taste like Joe's in New York. When I was at NYU I probably had a slice at Joe's every day. It didn't matter the time of day. It was that good. The go-to pizza joint to take my friends and family who were visiting me without a doubt. At times it was even desert. Now living in LA, great pizza is hard to find. Do I always have to visit NY to get my pizza fix? Well the pizza gods have answered my prayers. I can't believe there's a Joe's Pizza in LA now and let me tell you... it is just as amazing and exactly how I remembered it!
