I stopped in for a Chicken Parmigiana sandwich which was tasty, and satisfying. The sandwich is served on a ten inch roll with two chicken patties fried to a crispy finish, a tasty marinara sauce and top with mozzarella. My friend recommended this place since we were going to be in the area. The pizza was great! The sauce was really tasty and the crust had a good consistency. It is located in the middle of Hollywood Blvd, adjacent to the Chinese Theater, so it was convenient for hanging out with my friends. Owner is super condescending if you don't hear her or answer as fast as she'd like. Which is shocking considering how fee people want to go in there. You'd think they show some sort of courtesy to the few who do enter. We just got a slice for my son as we were walking the Blvd and just wanted something quick but it was not worth it and didn't even finish it. Not only is the pizza pre cooked and just sitting in a heat lamp getting dry and nasty but the entire place just smells like a bathroom or dump as soon as you walk in. I was hungry and just left the gym, and it was right across the street. I pay $10 and a tip. A kid comes up and asks for a side of ranch, and she tells him it's a dollar. I get home and try to eat my sandwich, and it's like dried up chicken jerky, inedible. I throw the chicken out and eat mushy bread with cheese on it. Appalling experience, through and through. The spaghetti bolognese had zero meat in it (basically just flavorless marinera). I returned it for chicken nuggets, which were oversalted to heart-attack levels but still barely edible. The chicken parmigiana was also flavorless. I'm not going to lie, whenever I see any place that claims to have "New York Style" pizza I wrinkle my nose and think something overly-dramatic like "Oh, we'll see about that!". And so, during a recent trip to LA, I found myself feeling a bit peckish so I decided to accept the challenge. I will say this for Andre's, the place definitely has the *look* of a pizza joint in New York City circa the mid-80's. Florescent (read: relatively dim) lighting, no frills tables and chairs and pictures all over the walls. However, instead of pictures of say, Times Square, these are all Hollywood based pictures (some of which have yellowed a bit over time). I am not painting the most glamorous picture here, but it really did set the mood and I found myself thinking "Hey, they got this right at least...sorta." I ordered a plain slice, feeling that would be the clearest way to judge the pizza. The $3.70 price tag on a plain slice reminded me that I was essentially in the Hollywood version of Times Square. I will say this however, the slice was cut a bit wider than your typical NYC slice so I was okay with it. After tossing on some seasonings at the fixings part of the counter, I sat down to eat and I have to say, this is a pretty good slice! It's not the best I've ever had, but I didn't expect that. What I did get was a nice crust that was crisp on the outside but chewy on the inside. The sauce and cheese worked together nicely for a sweet and salty flavor. I was actually impressed enough that I almost bought another but it was close to dinner time so I thought better of it. Overall, I would rate this slice as an "average" one, but that's saying a lot from this former-Brooklyn kid. I was impressed by Andre's. I think expectations is the name of the game here. I wasn't expecting much from this pizza place- a friend and I were late for a movie at the Chinese Theater and needed a really quick dinner. There are some chain restaurants in the area (Baja Fresh comes to mind), but we decided against these since you can get that anytime and anywhere. We poked our heads into 25 Degrees- and decided it wouldn't be quick enough for what we wanted. Andre's Pizza was the next place down the street. It was completely empty when we showed up- obviously an ominous sign. My friend joked about us getting sick eating here- it looks like that kind of place. The cashier/owner (not sure) didn't notice us when we walked in, but came to help us as soon as I called out a "hello!" (In my mind, that qualifies as good service.) I ordered a plain slice of cheese, not expecting much (again, expectations being the name of the game here), and I was pleasantly surprised. The slice was bigger than average- I'd say it was the size of 2 slices. And it tasted exactly like what a thin crust slice of cheese pizza should taste like, oily and cheesy but not too cheesy. I'm partial to thin crust, so this was better than any Costco slice of cheese I've had. My friend ordered a slice of pepperoni, and he got a pizza totally covered with pepperoni (again, a pleasant surprise). He also ordered a Caesar salad which, I'll be honest, didn't look like much. The service was fast, granted we didn't order complicated things. I wouldn't come to this restaurant expecting to be mind blown. I also wouldn't order complicated-ish dishes. (steak? pasta?) If you're looking for a quick bite to eat and you're not a super high maintenance person, this is a nice clean place with fast and professional service. Where to park? When someone at work told me that my #1 'za' in LA, Vito's, was "just ok," I asked 'what's you favorite spot then?' "Andres" he replies. When I find out it's on Hollywood Blvd, I couldn't help nauseating flashbacks of Grecos and Combos which serve up a $3.50 pile of shit -- processed cheese and ketchup over stale bread that tastes like Totinos frozen pizzas at the 99 cent store. But because this dude, is an East Coaster (kinda PA) I ventured out while walking my dog and got a slice of cheese to go.... What can I say except--"shut the front 'mutherfucking' door." This dude was right.... and he's from Pittsburgh, who would have thought. Andres is legit--and cheaper than village on Yucca (who actually doesn't do the slice that well--you have to get pies there and they're $$). Andre's delivers so, looks like I have a new spot. They don't do white pizzas, gourmets and such like Vitos, so I don't think I can give them my #1 spot yet. But they are a top 3 for sure. With only 10 reviews, looks like they fly under the foodie radar and survive on local tourist traffic. Iowans visiting the Boulevard should feel lucky if they stumble into here opposed to Grecos or Combos.... Andre--you my boy. Was in LA for the first time and did a help search for closest restaurant, affordable, and good for kids. This popped up as just across and down the street from where we stood. It has pizza, sandwiches, spaghetti, fish and chips, literally had something for everyone in our small party. I have recently became a cheese pizza connoisseur due to watching lots of One bite pizza reviews from barstool sports. I have had dozens of cheese pizzas in the last year and this rates highly among them. I give them a 7.1 outta 10 on the pizza. Which means. If its near. Go eat that pizza. Short and to the point. Been on a quest for a good slice of Cheese pizza at various establishments near where I work and live. This is not one of them. They may offer a large slice, but it's the closest thing I have had to 90's era Chuck E Cheese Pizza (not a good thing). This is my experience - Went to see Madame Tussauds Hollywood and walk of frame after Christmas. Kid became hungry at noon and wanted pizza. HOWEVER as i go to use the bathroom the old lady suddenly shouts "hey restroom for customer only" i remind her i'd just ordered a slice 10 minutes ago. The location and service were both amazing here. Prices are very cheap for being in Hollywood and right on the Walk of Fame. So, it is a nice place to grab a quick bite to eat. Singular restroom was very clean. But the food was below average. I got a loaded steak and a spaghetti bolognese with sausage. The loaded steak was overcooked, dry, and the amount of steak was not worth $9.50. The actual spaghetti was tasty but the sausage was so salty. Not flavorful, just salty. My family got a Caesar salad, Eggplant spaghetti dinner, and the Sausage and Cheese sandwich. They said the the Caesar salad and the Eggplant spaghetti dish were both delicious. Sausage and Cheese was the same sausage and still too salty. But for both sausage dishes we have to give them props for the amount of sausage that was loaded on. read more

As someone who had to work in Hollywood for a week, this was one of the few places I went to regularly simply because it is fairly priced and not a tourist trap. Yes, they do not give free refills on the drinks, but it's only $2 unlike other places. Not sure about why it got rude service comments. I had a normal interaction with an Asian lady. They simply need to make the restaurant more attractive as it gives kind of a bad vibe when you enter, but maybe that's how they're keeping everything cheaper than the touristy stores nearby. read more
