    French toast, sausage, and eggs.

Basic dinner fare: - Flavorful scrambled eggs but rather dry (i.e., overcooked) - Good quality sausage that had more of a kick than I was expecting. - Okay french toast that needed syrup to have flavor. (With good french toast, the flavor of the bread comes through, and you don't need syrup.) Very patriotic ambiance. Good service. They're known for their big portions, but I got a smaller meal that was the perfect amount for me. I would give them a 3.5 but rounded up to 4 for this review.

Veggie omelette with less onions as requested Spinach, cheese, mushroom omelette and loved the fact that each plate came with salsa! That was wonderful to see and taste on our omelettes. Meals came out quick and hot. Both with home fries and toast, but we also purchased a cinnamon bun with lighter amount of glaze on it... bun came out hot! delicious cinnamon in it.... Coffee was okay and we had good table service.

Sunday morning breakfast at a spot with strong diner energy -- old-school feel, quick turnover, no fluff. It was busy but not chaotic, and I grabbed a seat at the bar with no wait. I went for the steak and eggs (probably the priciest thing on the menu at $29), mostly out of curiosity -- and because I was nervous that medium rare would come out overcooked, I asked for rare. It came out very rare -- more red than I wanted, but still good. The ranchero sauce saved it. Gave the plate just enough taste and heat to make it work. The real winners were the hash browns -- crispy, golden, and hands down the best part of the meal. I'd come back just for those. The sourdough toast with butter also hit the mark. No tricks, just done right. Ordered fried egg whites, and the server called them "flat plain eggs," which honestly cracked me up. A very diner moment. Overall: good food, big portions, fast service, and no pretension. If you like the charm of a classic diner and don't mind a slightly overzealous steak order, Joe's delivers.

A classic "hole-in-the-wall" local eatery. Fun environment with lots of wall decor celebrating the military and veterans. The kind of hangout where a Jane Fonda sticker in the urinal wouldn't be out of place. Lots of friendly locals. Felt like a little piece of Texas had been dropped right into the middle of California. Excellent range of breakfast selections. Our group of four ordered a little of everything: eggs, hue is rancheros, pancakes, biscuits + gravy. Thumbs up all around the table.

This is your basic hometown breakfast place. They have a lot of options and all tasted good. I had the chicken fried steak and half order of biscuit and gravy. Food comes out fast, but like in Fresno, if you get there after 9 am on a weekend, get ready to wait in line.

Excellent place! Highly recommend. Greeted with a warm friendly welcome and chose our seating immediately. Our waitress Karen was awesome! Prompt service, fresh hot coffee, breakfast was amazing! The salad was fresh, the BLT was made perfectly and the fries were shoestring nice crispy and hot. Loved it so much going back again tomorrow.

Ordered veggie omelette and San Franciscan. Big portions and tasty. Staff friendly. We were able to walk here since our hotel was close by but they have a parking lot. Lots of military memorabilia and photos on the wall.

Basic breakfast spot Ambiance: old school country style dinner. Wooden tables and chairs. Lots of army decorations. Service: we had the younger waitress and she was super nice! The hostess was a bit snooty. We accidentally went in the exit to enter. Food: just ok Cake, egg and bacon: pancakes was the best, not as fluffy as expected, loved the butter. Barely any egg, bacon almost too crispy burnt Dillinger Breakfast Burrito: Perfect, hearty and amazing 2 egg, bacon breakfast: it was ok, the bacon a little too crispy. But lots of bacon to eat in fact 4 pieces. French toast: too small could have been better

The food here is absolutely delicious. The service by Dianne was amazing and she has the greatest sense of humor you'll ever find. Also, the ambience was very patriotic. We will definitely come to Joe's every time we're in Paso.

Even though it was a 15 minute drive up the freeway from where I was, it was worth every minute. The downtown area this shop is in was really cool, plenty of parking, and the moment you walked into this coffee shop you could tell it was going to be good. Lots of space, people sitting and having conversations, and a greeting from the Barista the second I walked through the door. I went with my standard iced oat milk latte with honey and a triple shot and it was perfect. I wish I could have drank it there because the inside of the shop seemed like a place you could hang out for a while. Unfortunately, I had to take it on the road, but that is a shop (if I lived in that area) I would drive out of my way to get to. Well done guys!

To be fair, we did order a latte, so that is partly expected. The breakfast sandwich was good but a little underseasoned and could have used a bit more flavor overall. The chicken pesto sandwich was the standout. The pesto was well balanced and did not overpower the rest of the ingredients, which made the sandwich really pleasant to eat. Overall, everything was solid, though slightly pricey for the portion sizes. The food was good, but nothing especially memorable. Still, it is a nice stop if you are in the area.

The steak was tender and well cooked, the avocado was fresh and the salsa was very flavorful with just the right amount of heat. My wife had the blackened tofu tacos and wasn't as thrilled as I was. She found them a little bit bland even with the peanut sauce and didn't understand putting cabbage on something that's already lettuce wrapped. As someone visiting from out of town, I was hoping for a warm, welcoming coffee shop experience. The café is definitely cute and has a great atmosphere, but the service felt a bit rushed. It also wasn't busy--there were only a few customers inside, and I was the only person ordering coffee at the time. Even so, I wasn't asked if my order was for here or to go, and I also wasn't asked if I'd like my coffee cake warmed. Everything was automatically served in a to-go cup with a cold slice of coffee cake. After sitting outside, I noticed other customers enjoying their drinks in ceramic mugs, which would have made the experience feel much more like the cozy coffee shop I was hoping for. It's a small detail, but those little touches can make a big difference, especially for first-time visitors. Before we get into the meat & potatoes of this review, let me get something off my chest…read more I am ONE HUNDRED PERCENT not anywhere close to being a Cowboy, but I'll be damned if watching shows like Yellowstone on Paramount+ make me think twice about my life choices. I mean... Riding a horse on the open plains.... Wearing Levi jeans, a flannel shirt, with a big cowboy hat, a pair of cowboy boots, and rocking that big belt buckle sounds pretty cool to me. But being a Cowboy or a Cowgirl for that matter is more than just the catchy attire, it's a Lifestyle! Rooted in hard physical labor, long days, loyalty, deep respect and responsibility for the land and herding cattle are just some of the core values and responsibilities of being a true Cowboy/Cowgirl. Hell, I might not be a Cowboy, Yet... But I sure do respect the Lifestyle they live and for now, you can find me on the sidelines rocking out to my favorite country and Western artists: Morgan Wallen, George Straight, Garth Brooks and of course my Girls Reba, Lainey Wilson and Carrie Underwood. Heck, All I need now is my Cowboy Hat & Boots, Well, I suppose I should get a horse too ;) ------------------------ Now, Saddle up Partner, let's get this review on the road. It's time to EAT like a Cowboy and be where every Cowboy wants to be.... Cowgirl Cafe Enters the Chat! Yes, Every Cowboy that I know... Needs a Good Solid Meal to start their day off right. But more importantly than that... A Good, Strong cup of Hot Coffee! But even more important than that hot cup of Jamoka.... A Cowboy needs a Strong, Beautiful Woman by his side to wrangle him back in when he's out of line. Yeah, and just like you "Don't Mess With Texas", You definitely Don't mess with a Cowgirl! So when I ate at the Cowgirl Cafe in Downtown Paso Robles, I was on my best behavior. Located at 1316 Pine Street, this hole in the wall Cafe is where locals and visitors come together to break bread. A well themed decor diner that's open from 6am-2pm daily, The Cowgirl Cafe serves up a mean breakfast & lunch and boy did I enjoy it. 2 Eggs sunny side up, corned-beef hash, their Chef's Special Home Fry Potatoes, a side of toast, & a cup of coffee... All served with that hometown, local hospitality from our server who waited on us... You know, just like a cowboy, I tipped my hat to her and tipped her very well for her excellent service. As mentioned earlier.... The Cowgirl Cafe is open from 6am-2pm daily, so for you early risers who live the Cowboy life of waking up before the Sunrise, a hot meal will waiting for you. But don't fret if you are new to this Cowboy/Cowgirl rise and shine, get the day started off early business... Cause they serve breakfast up until 2pm (or until the cows come home). YeeHaw!!! Now, it's time to Cowgirl Up and stop pretending like this is your first Rodeo. Get on over to Cowgirl Cafe and Eat!
