yum yum yummmmm! we got a platter and with cajun and garlic butter mixed. It was very flavorful and fresh! I also ordered a bowl of white rice to mix the sauce into. The staff was super nice and accommodating! The interior is super lowkey and casual perfect for an after flight meal.

On my search for seafood boils in Pensacola I came across John's seafood. The food was full of flavor, affordable, and FRESH !!! I went twice and both times made me fall in love with the restaurant all over again. The waitresses are VERY attentive and ensuring that all their customers are taken care of. When you enter the establishment, it is self seating unless you would like to play a to go order. I ordered the weekend special (Fri- Sun) which consist of 1/2lb lobster tail, 1/2lb snow crab, 1/2lb headless shrimp, 1/4lb sausage, 2 corns, 2 potatoes and 2 eggs for $47.99 with the house mix em all and medium spice. I also tried a piece of catfish and it was tasty. Side note: They do offer military discount to anyone serving in the armed forces with a valid ID.

A solid seafood boil spot. The service was good and very helpful if you had any questions and a converted restaurant that turned into a hidden gem. The quality of the food was good and if you're ever in the area stop by and give it a try!

Consistently a wonderful, clean, and cute restaurant. This is the place to be for the best seafood boil in town. The staff is attentive and move things along quickly. We've never had a bad, or even mediocre meal here. Pro tip - they had out these amazing guava candies with your bill. If you love them like I do they'll sell you a whoe bag!

We found John Seafood on yelp- definitely a hole in the wall- almost didn't go in due to the outside look- looked tacky- it's clearly a former fast food place that was changed into a restaurant- they did a pretty good job trying to make the inside different- it's definitely a casual vibe which is fun- we were eating late on a sunday night and the clientele was interesting- most were vaping or smoking outside before coming in- perhaps this is just the environment of this town- no idea. The inside feels a little dirty- the bathrooms are old and falling a part and give that dirty vibe. The plates are styrofoam which seems crazy for spending $70 and eating ooff styrofoam- at least it would be nicer if they were paper plates... 5/5 for the food though! The prices are pretty reasonable considering it's seafood. The kids split a catfish platter and it was nice and large- plenty of food for the kiddos. We split the john's special- very flavorful and mild was perfect. it came with a good variety. We really enjoyed the fried okra and the hush puppies which we ordered and are so glad we did! highly recommend both! The service was ok- they were clearly understaffed and did their best so gotta give them grace. The flavors were on point!

Wow, what a lucky find! Just started working in the area and was trying to decide what the Hubby and I wanted for dinner. Read the reviews and decided to try the place out... so glad that we did. It's a small restaurant, and even on a weekday night it was packed, mostly with large groups of families, still we made it just in time to grab a table. There were so many choices on the menu, and I knew I had to try a boil while the Hubby opted for catfish and sides. You know you're in for a treat when they set a "dinner kit" including a bib, gloves and hand wipes before your meal. My boil was shaken at the table and poured out in a spicy, glorious mess. I was in the mood for crab, and it was steamed so well you could use the plastic fork to break the shell for those tiny pesky pieces. One potato was a little undercooked but I wasn't mad at it so I didn't take a star off just for that. The shrimps were large and flavorful. Hubby has eaten catfish his whole life and declared their catfish to be some of the "best he's ever had" which is quite a compliment. We both thoroughly enjoyed our meals and left very full. Service was fast and friendly, and you just toss everything into the little trashcans set up at every table. We definitely plan to come back!

Food is so so so good here!! The seafood boil here is seasoned so well, definitely one of the best I've had in the Pensacola region. The waiter we had for dinner the day we went was so friendly and sweet!

This is my second time ordering the large seafood platter from John's Seafood, and just like the first time, everything was amazing! The food was fresh, flavorful, and still piping hot even as takeout. You can really tell they care about quality. I'll definitely be returning again!

Food was delicious and not overpriced! Service was excellent. The only drawback was they had plastic silverware, doesn't work well with the seafood boil I got. Other than that is was excellent!

Do not skip out on this place! Wait staff were friendly and extremely attentive. Pricing fair. The seafood- ahhhmazing! We did one of the combo meals and shared. We also got a mixture of sauces on the food- took the flavor to another level. A little messy to eat but worth it!

Went here for the seafood boil--it was amazing: the cajun sauce had the right blend of spice, hot sauce, and just the right amount of butter. Sides and appetizer portions are large and plentiful. Highly recommend this place for the delicious seafood, sides, and very good pricing/value! Service was great, everyone is friendly, would come back again!

You can tell he genuinely knows the menu and wants his guests to have a great experience. As for the food, the miso scallops are an absolute must and, hands down, my favorite thing on the menu! My boyfriend always gets a steak, and they are consistently cooked to perfection. Definitely make sure to try the salmon crudo and oysters as well- they're both delicious. And whatever you do, save room for a dessert cocktail! The limoncello carajillo is absolutely delicious and the perfect way to end the meal. This is one of those places we come back to year after year, and it's always a highlight of our trip. Great food, great service, and such a memorable experience every time! Side note- please keep the Dolce Vita martini on the menu forever!

She took the time to go over all the specials and let us know that everything is made in house since it's a scratch kitchen, which was a nice touch. We arrived right when they opened, and the restaurant filled up fast, so it's definitely a popular spot. We ordered the George Fries, and they were absolutely loaded! The portion was huge and could easily feed two people as an appetizer. For my entrée, I had the Truffle Chicken Alfredo, and it was delicious. The noodles were thick, chewy, and cooked perfectly, and the sauce was rich without being too heavy. It also happened to be my boyfriend's and my anniversary, and the staff surprised us with a complimentary chocolate cake, which was such a thoughtful gesture. We were so full that we had to wait until we got home to enjoy it! Overall, the food, service, and hospitality were all amazing. The lamb burger was perfectly seasoned and everyone enjoyed my truffle fries. The homemade tzatziki sauce was perfectly balanced and just delicious. The lobster rolls were stuffed with fresh, sweet lobster and the basil aioli the perfect compliment. Such a great value. My girls' likened it to lobster rolls we get in Maine. The blackened fish sandwich had a nice, bold Cajun flavor and the pickled cucumbers were the perfect match in acidity. Overall, one of the best meals we had on our entire trip!! The young lady at the counter was extremely friendly, engaging, and had excellent customer service skills. She took the time to answer my questions about the menu, and when my grouper sandwich was accidentally left out of my order, she immediately checked with the kitchen and got it taken care of. She represented the restaurant very well. Unfortunately, the food itself was a disappointment. When I got to my car, I looked at the sandwich and honestly thought they had forgotten the fish because all I could see were the buns. After opening it, I found only three very small pieces of grouper, about the size of silver dollars. For a sandwich that cost around $16, I expected a full grouper filet or at least a much more substantial portion. The flavor was fine, but the value simply wasn't there. The amount of fish compared to the size of the bun made the sandwich feel overpriced, underwhelming and an afterthought. Great customer service deserves recognition, but I hope management takes a closer look at the quality and portion sizes. A grouper sandwich should actually look and feel like a grouper sandwich, especially on the Gulf Coast!
