I'm bummed to say that we were not impressed with this place. And it's been on my list for a while too. I don't know where the amazing reviews are coming from cause the food was not good. We got pancakes, sausage, home fries and a hot link. Everything tasted store bought and warmed up, nothing home cooked. And the pancakes was doughy and thick and flavorless. And the water?! I had a really frustrating experience here. We were a party of 7 and asked to be seated at a table with 6 chairs while the last person (who was literally in the parking lot bringing a baby) joined us. We were completely willing to work with the situation -- even offered to split into separate tables -- but instead of trying to help, the front desk staff just kept repeating that "everyone needs to be here." There was no effort to find a solution, no flexibility, and honestly it felt dismissive. We weren't asking for anything unreasonable, just a little understanding. This place is such a hidden gem! It's located right at the corner and honestly it just looks like another business building. The parking is very limited but you can park on the street or the plaza across and walk over The staff is always so friendly and accommodating. Their food is also huge in portion , decent pricing, and so good! I love their chicken and waffles! Their burgers are great as well. Pancakes are fluffy and it's definitely shareable. read more

We were greeted right away, and seated right away. I didn't think sides could be a lot, since I don't eat bread as much. I was wrong. We have been loyal customers long before Covid hit, we even supported them during the shutdown by eating outside under their tent. Many things have changed since they moved to their new location....sadly not for the better. We have been very disappointed in the quality of food and service. The prices have increased and the portions have decreased. We gave it a couple of tries, but sadly we will not be returning. We are truly disappointed, it used to be our go to place for good food. read more

Great little spot for breakfast and lunch. It is small, so depending on the time and crowd you may have to wait, but it is definitely worth the time. I had the corned beef plate. It was the real deal, with slices and chunks of beef with home fries crisped up nicely from the griddle. Had the biscuit and gravy instead of toast, and even though it was not sausage gravy it was delicious. Good honest food. Just look at those eggs! Meal was delicious, came here a couple years ago and came back and quality has not changed if anything it's gotten better! Wow it's great to have Johnny os again. This new location is small but if you went to Johnny os before they moved then you know that was also a small location...hence expect a wait because it is amazing food and it's worth it. Don't bring this place down reviews wise just because you had to wait on a weekend when everyone else also goes to breakfast. Also this place is known for the quality of food and reasonable prices. Don't expect fancy decor and led lights with a fake plant wall that you can take photos in front of with the girls for the "vibes" you're not getting that here. Go to haven city cafe with crappy food-or Gina's for the vibe if that's what you want. At Johnny os You're getting a server that remembers you from the Covid times...that makes you feel like your family and remembers your order from last week, that you're having a home cooked meal...that your coffee is always refilled and hot... that you can talk trash on your football team and tell jokes with. Also this new location is an actual building big improvement compared to how stuffy and Smokey the old location would get when it's busy and plenty of parking 10/10 all around from start to finish great food even better customer service. A simple cozy breakfast. So expect a wait when it's busy, don't bring them down stating your food took too long and you had to wait for fresh breakfast because they have a full restaurant and only two servers. If i could give this place 6-7 stars I WOULD! came by with my girlfriend and we got the cali breakfast sandwich, THE EGG WAS SUPER FLUFFY AND they were not stingy with the bacon which i love, I got the new chili cheese burger which i DEVOURED it was amazing and had fresh homemade chili which hit the spot along with their crispy fries and tots. We've been to JO's before, but this time was different. Maybe it was because we were tired, frustrated and just plain starving! Actually, that may have had something to do with it but it was also the quality of the food, the service and the pleasantries when someone came by to check on us or to refill our beverages. Well, today (January 9th) still faced with no power at home we headed back to our new favorite diner. Again, the food was delicious and the service and pleasantries were superior! Just what we needed after another long day and night of no power. Alex was AMAZING and the woman server (I apology for not catching her name) was just as AMAZING! Johnny O's will forever be our go-to breakfast spot for their sheer hospitality and delicious food! Thank you for your kindness! We love the new location. We use to go to Johnny O's off 8th and Vineyard. Closer to our home and the food is so delicious. I had the cali breakfast, I changed out sourdough instead of brioche, I also changed American for Swiss cheese, and removed mayo and added chipotle aioli. I highly recommend making changes to suit your taste. We also ordered the vegetarian omelet. The service was excellent. Our server Alex was so helpful. Definitely will be back. The decor and music was on point and made for an awesome dinning experience. We love all the signs throughout the restaurant. read more
