    No meat breakfast burrito 4.5/5
    Elizabeth P.

Best burrito in town? Definitely a contender. Nice friendly and clean spot. We haven't been in years and finally came back now with two kiddos. The kids enjoyed sharing their bacon and eggs plate along with a side of sausages. We opted to share the breakfast burrito and it was surprisingly very good even though we didn't select a meat.

"Best breakfast burrito in town sign", so you know I had to try it... tried both the bacon and sausage one. For 13$ a burrito not bad value or size. Taste and quality was good, definitely a leg up from like farmer boys burritos in terms of quality and how it looked and the ingredients. Good amount of cheese and crispy hashbrowns and even distribution. Definitely a contender for best breakfast burrito locally. Phone ordering was easy for pickup and service friendly. Nice little cafe ambience diner that would be nice to eat in but we got it to go. Don't know what the negative reviews are about because my burritos were good!

Service: servers were friendly and helpful. We have 2 young children and they offered to bring our drinks to our table since they saw us with our hands full. The waitress came by 2 times for coffee refills. The restaurant looks clean and inviting, a nice casual spot for dining. Breakfast burrito: was tasty, the filings had even proportions , I could taste some nice crispy hashbrowns in there, which I love! individual rating 4/5 Omelette - overcooked and dry, there was a piece of sliced cheese thrown on top (Kraft single?) nothing special , just ok. Reminded me of a fast food restaurant omelette. individual rating: 2/5 Kids meal: basic scrambled eggs were fine, bacon was crispy which my toddler loved, and pancake was also eaten. Individual rating 3/5 We may just return for the burritos, not sure about other items!

This is the type of place that I break my diet for, once a year. I was ravenous after a long work day and this restaurant was right by my dermatologist's office. I had an hour to kill before my afternoon appointment and stopped in for lunch. The menu is standard diner fare- burgers, fries, breakfast options, and a couple of salads. I ordered one of the "John's specials" offerings, a super stuffed chicken burrito with green sauce, and half and half fries and onion rings. The food was delicious, hot and fresh, and flavorful. The meat was fresh, the veggies were crisp and juicy, the avocado was perfect. The fries and onion rings were crispy, hot and thick--- my favorite. Portions are big. I was full after a few bites and took everything home. The young man behind the counter was delightful, very polite and attentive. The decor was standard vinyl booths, plain tables, unadorned ambiance, but there is a charm to that. It was spotlessly clean, the young man who took my order was making sure all the tables were spotless, when he wasn't helping patrons, he was spraying down and wiping up tables. The restrooms were spotlessly clean, too-- the air smelled of disinfectant. Parking is plentiful and the air conditioner was powerful, a must for the insanely hot north OC days. I really enjoyed my lunch and would like to try the brunch options!

Dont really write reviews much but I felt the need to write one today. Don't waste your money they are in fact not as good as they promote or maybe I just got a bad one based off the cook. I ordered a burrito specified that's what I wanted the girl rang me up for a breakfast sandwich. Once I saw that there was no 2$ discount for a burrito I asked her about it and she said that's only for the burritos ( that's what I ordered) for some reason she misunderstood, that's fine let's correct it. She corrected my order for the cook but still charged me the price for the sandwich. Which honestly I wasn't complaining about but let her know next time in the future it creates confusion seeing as I'm charged for the wrong item. She proceeded to tell me I ORDERED THE WRONG ITEM . Mind you that the order was not processed I had not paid for it when I caught the mistake. Why she didn't correct it blows my mind. Anywho she ends up yelling at me from the register telling me I I'm Wrong and blah blah I'm getting my drink so I tell her I'm done discussing it. I'm not gonna go back and forth with someone about FOOD! It is not that serious. Anywho she said something else about well you're the one blah blah. And now im writing a review. The burrito was not worth the argument but it is worth letting people know not to waste their money

casual diner with very old-style decorations. doesn't seem like much from first glance but the food itself was better than expected. would give 3.5 stars but no half stars, so i'm giving it 4 ~Food~ avocado burger: 9/10 very solid burger. the meat was nice and juicy and there was a lot of avocado. i'm a big fan of raw onion and they put a large amount of them so it was perfect for my taste sausage and 3 eggs breakfast: 6/10 the sausages were very mediocre but the hash browns were delicious. the eggs were also standard, nothing special ~Service: ok service, servers don't seem to care much about the quality of service ~Cost: $ very affordable ~Parking: plenty of plaza parking

We sat for over **20 minutes** without anyone coming to our table--not even to offer water. I eventually had to get up and ask someone to send a server over. What made it even more frustrating was watching other parties who arrived **15-20 minutes after us** receive water immediately and have their orders taken before anyone even acknowledged our table. After finally waiting another 10 minutes to receive our water, we had to track down our server again just to place our food order because no one returned to check on us. By that point, we had been sitting long enough and were more than ready to order. To make matters worse, we ordered an appetizer of coconut shrimp about five minutes after placing our entrée order, but it never arrived. After we had already finished our meals, we asked to cancel it, only to be told that our server had never entered the order in the first place. Unfortunately, the food didn't make up for the poor service. It lacked flavor and was very underwhelming. This experience was frustrating enough that I cannot recommend Reunion Kitchen. I initially wanted to believe this was simply an off day or an inexperienced server, but after hearing from two other people I know who described nearly identical experiences, it seems this may be a recurring issue. One thing that left me especially uncomfortable was seeing guests who arrived well after us receive prompt attention while our table was repeatedly overlooked. I can't say why that happened, but it certainly made us question whether we were being treated differently. I sincerely hope the restaurant looks into its service standards and ensures every guest is treated with the same level of respect and attention.

For some reason the refinery spend their 40 minutes cooking the hell out of my burger, and they could even put the tooth pick in the middle of my burger, like is it that hard to stab my burger in the middle. I honestly don't know how The Refinery inside the Hilton in Brea manages to stay open. This was easily one of the worst dining experiences I've had in a long time. First off, the place looks nice when you walk in, but that's where the positives end. The service was painfully slow -- not the "busy restaurant" kind of slow, but the "did anyone remember we're here?" kind. We waited forever just to get water, and it somehow took even longer for the food. Then the food actually showed up... and wow. Bland, overpriced, and somehow still cold. It tasted like it had been sitting under a heat lamp since last week. For a restaurant attached to a Hilton, I expected at least basic quality, but this felt like cafeteria food with steakhouse prices. To make things worse, the staff acted like helping customers was a huge inconvenience. No check-ins, no refills, no effort. Just vibes of "please eat and leave." Between the slow service, disappointing food, and ridiculous prices, this place feels like a tourist trap hiding in a hotel lobby. Save your money and eat literally anywhere else in Brea. Even a gas station snack run would be a better experience.

They explain that they smoke their meats for 16 hours, make their sides, sauces and desserts from scratch, and don't use preservatives, additives, fillers or nitrites. Steve even puts his own number there and asks customers to reach out with suggestions. Scathing Review Lazy…read moreDog: You Enticed Me Back, Took My Money, and Then Refused to Honor the Gift Cards My first visit to Lazy Dog was on Mother's Day, when I purchased two $50 gift cards from our server. As part of that purchase, I was given $10 gift cards as complimentary promotional cards. The server apparently received a commission for the gift-card sale. At no point during the purchase was I clearly told that the complimentary $10 gift cards had an expiration date or that there were restrictions that could cause them to become worthless. After that Mother's Day visit, I continued receiving hundreds of emails from Lazy Dog encouraging me to come back and dine there. So I decided to give them another chance and went back just for fun. That's when I tried to use the complimentary $10 gift cards I had received with my $100 gift-card purchase--and was told they were expired and would not be honored. What makes this so frustrating is the complete lack of transparency. If these promotional gift cards had an expiration date, that should have been clearly communicated when they were handed to me. Instead, I only found out that they were supposedly worthless when I attempted to use them. Yes, they were complimentary--but that doesn't excuse failing to clearly communicate the terms of the promotion. And considering I had just spent $100 purchasing Lazy Dog gift cards, I don't think it's unreasonable to expect the promotional cards to come with clear information about their expiration. The irony is that Lazy Dog spent months sending me hundreds of emails enticing me to return, and I actually listened. I came back because your marketing made me feel like you wanted my business. Instead, my return visit turned into a frustrating experience over promotional gift cards that I had never been told would expire. The issue isn't the $10. It's the principle and the customer experience. If you're going to offer promotional gift cards, clearly state the expiration date and restrictions at the time they're given to the customer--not after the customer has already spent $100 and returned to your restaurant in good faith. Lazy Dog, if you want customers to come back, don't just send hundreds of emails asking them to return. Give them a reason to trust you when they do. My Mother's Day purchase was supposed to be a good experience. My second visit was simply supposed to be fun. Instead, I walked away feeling misled and extremely disappointed. After this experience, I won't be rushing back.
