I thought ordering irl vs on their site could help get the order right, but nope, same result. It's on the corner of 24th street and Castro and it's called Subs Inc. Inside you will see a fun decor for a sandwich shop. They have the signature subs such as baseball legend Joe DiMaggio and SF Giants former neighborhood resident Matt Cain. I had to try the Godfather. It had pastrami, turkey and provolone. The sandwich was tasty and not too saucy and the bread was not flaky like some in SF. This is the place to grab a sandwich at a great corner spot when in Noe Valley. So grab a "drink" although it's shrinkflation these sandwiches don't "shrink" no need to go elsewhere in Noe Valley no need to "overthink" just go to "Subs Inc." Great sandwich I can't "complain" it's not too saucy won't leave a "stain "it's has flavor and never "plain" so grab a sandwich for baseball season like their signature sandwich like the Joe DiMaggio and "Matt "Cain"

Finally decided to try a lunch from here but nothing stood out to me like the one from the B patisserie lunch menu. I ordered the pork belly banh mi. It was the fastest banh mi I ever received, quicker than Vietnamese places. Right then, I already knew not to have my hopes up for a delicious Vietnamese sandwich. As expected, my banh mi was tiny and the bread was not toasted. The guy literally just stuffed the bread and gave me the banh mi. It was missing the pate (legit Vietnamese style banh mi) and slapped on with what tasted like sweet mayo. The carrots were drowned in vinegar so I could taste the acidic component to it. There were only a few pieces of pork belly like a beginner making the Chinese bbq pork aka cha siu. For almost $14 (double the price of most regular Vietnamese banh mi in the city), this was a great disappointment! Definitely would not recommend the banh mi here! However, I would recommend the mushroom cheese panini at B patisserie. I paid $14 a few times for that one because it was tasty. Service here was quick since there were barely any customers. The cafe was relevantly empty and quiet. Not my type of cafe. Most likely would not return.

One of my favorite things about AK Meats is being able to buy exactly the amount I need. It's so nice to get a small portion from the butcher instead of having to buy a whole pre‑packaged amount that might go bad. I love grabbing my protein here and then popping next door for the rest of my ingredients. A great neighborhood spot with consistently excellent quality.
