My wife and I were staying at nearby hotel so decided to try Jojo's. As we walked in we noticed the small dining area. The space was clean and staff were friendly and attentive. Most people coming in while we were there were picking up take out food. We sat and ordered an appetizer and two entrees. The only cons at least for me were the chairs and they don't serve cocktails. Honestly, the chair was extremely uncomfortable because they were like sitting on rocks. I kept squirming around because it was so uncomfortable. Overall the food was very good with exception of the Thai Ice Tea (watery). Overall the food and service was good so we would recommend.

Had a great experience here this evening for dinner. Service was great and the food was delicious! Started with an order of Fresh Rolls with Shrimp and Crab Rangoons! Both were excellent. For my meal I had Shrimp Pad Thai and that too was amazing! Will definitely be back next time we are up here!

What a good find! This is a cute family ran Thai restaurant. It's kind of cozy inside, so I am sure it can fill up quick. Their service was excellent and their food was even better! I got the Pad Thai with an order of crab Rangoon. It was all delicious and can't wait to go back the next time that we are in the area!

We love this place. Best Thai food in Maine, New Hampshire or Massachusetts!!! Authentic food, made and served with pride by Thai (who are now Americans) natives. The service is 5 star, the food is 5 star and the ambiance is great... 7 tables seating a maximum of 18 people. Love it

Jojo's Thai Kitchen had been on our list for some time due to their high ratings. We finally tried them out for takeout, before committing to a full dining experience, and now we cannot wait to return. The portions are generous, the prices are fair, and the food is delicious. Their food was one of the best Thai food I've had in the greater Portland area, which says a lot considering all of the incredible Thai restaurants nearby. The massaman curry was delicious and the drunken noodles were to die for. I ordered a spice level 4 and it was really spicy, just as expected. If you're not into spicy food, make sure you stick to a 1. The crab rangoons were hands down the best I've had in years. The curry puffs were good, but I think next time I'll just order more crab rangoons. The food was packed with care. When we picked it up we interacted with the staff and they were so friendly. Now I truly can't wait to come back and dine in.

Mango Curry with tofu, half eaten. I rarely eat the entire dish. I did.

Give yourself a delicious treat by going to Jojo's Thai Kitchen whenever possible. We live in Texas and were driving from Lubec, Maine to Portland to catch a plane home. We were tired from driving and hungry and this little restaurant impressed. I had the Mango Curry with tofu, spice level two and it was some of the best curry I've had in a long time, and I've patronized numerous Thai restaurants in several cities and towns. The tofu was perfection. My husband had the Massaman Curry, spice level four and he was very happy. The service was welcoming and knowledgeable. Family friendly! I wish we lived closer. Please support this family-run restaurant. They do a booming take-out business too.

From the second I walked in I didn't feel like a costumer I felt like family... big smiles on everybody's faces.. quick courteous service yummy delicious food. I asked for a special order which was no problem. Next time I'm in Scarborough I'll definitely dine.

As a native Thai from SoCal I was expecting much for Thai food around here but when I came here I was surprised. The food was delicious and it was pretty healthy too not oily like some other places. Service was great and staffs were friendly. Highly recommend to check this place out if you are in the area and crave for Thai food!

Just got our delivery from the dash, and I am beyond disappointed and this is not a good first…read moreimpression for me. We ordered the spare ribs, teriyaki beef, sweet and sour chicken, crab rangoons and scallion pancakes. The beef and ribs were so dry! The sweet and sour chicken oozed grease so bad we couldn't even taste the chicken, and the scallion pancakes had almost no flavor. However that is nothing compared to the "crab" Rangoon. These were absolutely atrocious! They tasted like fish! And I don't mean "seafoody" I mean like an actual FISH. I don't expect these places to use all crab and am aware most use an imitation, but this was down right unbelievable. Was it old? Idk I don't dare eat anymore. The cost was ridiculous. All this came to just around $100 and it all fit in a small bag. Granted, it was ordered on a third party app, but this was not worth the wait or the money. The only reason they're getting 2 stars is due to the moderately quick delivery, but I think this is more on the dash than Chia Sen. If I wanted leftover Chinese food I would order from a better, cheaper place and eat in 3 days from now. Buyer beware

We ordered the mixed appetizer plate, hubby ordered vegetable dumplings. My FIL and I opted for Szechuan beef while my MIL ordered beef with broccoli. The dishes came with soup and a choice of fried or steamed rice. The soups were served first which was a nice touch. The appetizers were flavorful and not too greasy. I couldn't give more than 3 stars though because the Szechuan beef is much different than the previous ones I've had. My FIL said the same thing. None of us thought the fried rice was good either. The restroom was at least clean. And we all got a fortune cookie.

From their website: "Jing Yan is a neighborhood tavern that specializes in hand-crafted cocktails…read moreand comforting cuisine. Our goal is to provide a warm and inviting atmosphere in the East End neighborhood, where you can unwind and enjoy our food and drinks with friends, family, or by yourself." Yep, that's the exact vibe (wouldn't compare it to a tavern though; it's much more trendy than that word implies. Also - the music here is distractingly good, so keep an ear out). It was easy to make a reservation online (I *strongly* suggest you do because it's a VERY tiny place; just know, they have a $15 charge per head if you cancel last minute); it's also nice to see more places in Portland that take reservations, y'know? + Our server was INCREDIBLE. He was friendly, unbelievably patient, read cues so well (we were old friends catching up, and he gave us all the space in the world to do so), was funny, and was so well informed about the menu. We had questions about the vegan options, and he had answers/made great recommendations. + The cocktails are really nice; the most photographed one, Lost In Thailand (rum, coconut rum, coconut water, Thai basil, lemongrass, Thai chili), wasn't for me. I'm just not a spicy drink lover, but the Gimlet Highball (gin, lemon, soda) was perfectly refreshing. + I think the menu changes relatively often, so be sure to check their website for the most current options. Things are clearly labeled vegan and/or gluten-free; if you don't mind things being fried together, the Marinated Tofu (fried tofu, radish, edamame, and citrus soy) is a fan favorite we were told. We tried the (vegan) Stir Fried Green Beans (confit garlic, chili sauce, sesame); good for the table to share, but they were much more crunchy/undercooked than I was expecting or would have liked. I wouldn't get them again. But the (vegan) Creamy Chili Noodles?! SUCH A DELICIOUS BOWL OF FOOD. Cucumber, wood ear and shiitake mushrooms, cilantro, peanut sauce, fried red onion, chili crisp. It was hearty, it was flavorful, I think it started off warm but it was one of those dishes that as it cooled... it was just as good (if not better). Absolutely worth coming out of your way for, vegan friends!

There's a good variety of Asian fusion here, it reminds me of your typical chain fusion restaurant…read more The beef noodles weren't Chinatown 5/5 quality, but still pretty good. I wish it had more flavor, but I also am picky with Chinese foods. The food took a little while to come out, granted we were there on fourth of july. Overall pretty nice atmosphere, we were also seated outside which was pleasant in the summer!
