We live in northern Virginia (where, sadly, there are no Jollibee locations) but have family in the area so we visit here whenever we are in town. The fried chicken is always perfectly cooked and seasoned, the spaghetti is a delicious blend of sweet and salty, and my son absolutely loves the peach mango pie - that crisp first bite is euphoric. I was craving the ube cooler but unfortunately they were not serving it that day. The halo-halo was unavailable as well. Although the food is incredible, the service is always painfully slow. On our most recent visit through the drive-thru, it took over an hour to get our food. The line behind us was spilling out into the adjacent grocery store parking lot. On busy weekends when everyone is obviously craving chicken and gravy, more staff should be available and ready for the onslaught. So... five stars for the food and one star for the wait. read more

I was really excited about knowing that I was going to eat at a Jollibee in the states. We started off eating the palabok and spaghetti. The palabok tasted so good, just like EVERYONE's should taste!!! Don't forget to add a splash of the lemon juice to it. The noodles were good, the sauce was awesome and the shrimp and pork were yummy, topped with chicharron. The spaghetti was just ok. I love the good amount of sauce and the cheese on it. Out and about today and then looking for a "quick" bite to eat, my Filipino friend suggested we stop by this casual Filipino restaurant. She swore the chicken was awesome and since I love fried chicken, I was eager to try it. I have to admit, it was by far the best tasting and best textured fried chicken I have had in a very long time. The crust was crispy and seasoned very well. The meat was juicy. Sadly, a few of the well known fried chicken chains have fallen short on quality. I had pretty much given up on eating chicken at their franchises to keep from running the risk of chipping my teeth on their hard crust. I have actually had pieces of crust that could not even be bitten into. They offer a variety of entrees and sides l. My friend was eager for me to try their spaghetti, stating the sauce was different than most tomato based spaghetti sauce. She was right. The taste was quite unique and I would love to create that sauce in my home. We got a peach mango turnover. Oh my goodness! I could have eaten a few of those. This is a dessert you absolutely have to get! My friend states that there is only one Jollibee location in Tidewater, located in Virginia Beach. Been hearing about the hype? You have to check this place out at least once...it's different. Think about the days you're in college and you're just mixing random food together...but it tastes AWESOME. If you're talking about hitting it home, the food here makes you feel that way. And a lot of Filipino people hahaha great local support! I got the fried chicken, poured gravy sauce all over, and spaghetti/side of fries! DAMN it was delicious. Service is pretty quick too--as long as there's no line. They could use some work on their cleanliness of the tables. As we (our Vietnamese and Filipino mixed family) heard about Jollibee a while back, our first experience of it was really anticipated. We finally got to try this one in VA beach and drove 30 minutes out of the way to get here. We were very excited and ordered basically one of everything. The food was good for fast food. Much better and nicer quality that McDonalds. We finally got or order in a timely manner, but as we were about to eat the chickenjoy our of the bucket, a worker came to our table telling us that they got our order wrong, asked for our receipt and took both of our chicken buckets, touching the inside of the buckets with his bare hands, back after we were about to enjoy them. He later came back with one of the buckets saying they gave us too many. It felt very rude as a McDonalds or Chikfila would never do something like that. It was wrong on their part and they should've just let us keep the extra bucket because we already touched it and hey would just throw it away after. We then ordered another bucket after they took away one of the buckets. That kind of ruined our first experience a little bit and I hope that doesn't speak the same for all Jollebees. After we had our entrees we ordered desserts. They were alright. The chillers are basically slushies not smoothies and are more icey than creamy. I've never had real halo halo so I don't know how to compare t to the real thing but it was cutely presented with tiny scoops of ube and mango ice cream and a little piece of flan. A 3 1/2 hour drive turned to 5 hrs of driving due to heavy traffic, all made worth it when we received our order. I been at this location twice before heading to the beach but this particular trip, was solely to come and enjoy some Filipino 'fast food'. I've always enjoyed their fried chicken (especially with their one of a kind gravy) and peach mango pie but thought I would try something else on their menu. I decided to try their one piece with palabok and the aloha burger. I've had quite a few extensive experience with variations of someone's version of palabok and I've always enjoyed them. This one was no different, loved and enjoyed each bite as the taste was delicious pact with flavor. Noodles were cooked perfectly so it had a nice bounce and firm texture. This food experience only got better when I took my very first bite of the aloha burger. The beef patty had a taste that I've never encountered before in a burger which was unique but delicious in every way. The pineapple which I believe was grilled slightly brought out a sweet tangy note combined with some saltiness from the patty made this burger something special. This place is CLEARLY world renowned and very welcomed here in this area as there was a steady flow of traffic well after lunch. Jollibee is a chain that has roots in the Philippines and other countries in the Pacific. The restaurant features burgers and chicken, however the flavors are VERY different from traditional American fare. The offerings included fiesta/spaghetti sauce and noodles, burger steak, corn, rice and gravy. While food was a little more expensive,The food was not burnt, was cooked to order (so it took a little while to get our food) and the people while not super open to my questions as a first-timer, they were polite. The manager who works Wednesday nights is extremely rude. He should not be in the customer service industry. I take my son to this MacDonalds at least twice a week. It is his favorite place. We placed our order (dine in) and got our food right away. My son didn't get his drink. So I politely said " Can I please get the sweet tea?" He said sure, then turned around and did nothing. I stood there for at least a minute. I then said " can I get my son's sweet T?" He replied you are not my priority and then blew me a kiss. I then asked to speak to the manager and he said I am the manager and said "bye" and blew another kiss. This is totally unacceptable behavior from an employee at an American institution like Mac Donald's. I will return there because everyone else there is great. Jollibee was good and brought on the nostalgia of being in the Philippines. Let me get the cons out of the way. The wait to get to the cashier was about 30 minutes, and then we were told that our order would take OVER an hour to be ready. While I understand that sparing a person to just inform of the wait time is counterproductive, at least have some type of sign (a whiteboard works). To be fair, we were warned, and I did order A LOT of food. I was able to feed about 14 people with 3 - 6pc. buckets (it came with gravy), 2 Blowout Palabok, a family pack of spaghetti, and 13 peach mango pies. The total was over $150.00. For something considered "fast food", over $10 a person is expensive. But it isn't every day we're able to go to a Jollibee since we live in the Philly area. Now to rave about the food. The food was packaged nicely for takeout. The palabok and spaghetti came in reusable containers. Everything was still very hot and fresh even though it was a 30 minute drive back to my relatives' house. The chicken is not over-breaded nor is it greasy. My cousin commented that as far as fast food chicken, Jollibee's is the best. The peach mango pies are heavenly. The crust is much crisper than competitors' pies which is just how I like it. The palabok reminded me of that of the Philippines. While my mom makes palabok differently, I'd prefer Jollibee's (please don't tell her). My only regret was not to get rice to slather it with the delicious gravy, but I figured that would be overboard (if the above wasn't already). The Buko Pandan pearl drink while we waited was satisfying and delicious and puts any "bubble tea"; as we call it here, to shame because it tastes fresh and not powdered. I was able to socialize with other Filipino women also waiting for their family's order and that honestly made the wait time fly. Would I go again? Yes. Would I go on a weekend or holiday? Maybe. Do I regret the time and money I spent? No. I was able to introduce my half-Filipino cousins to a "taste" of our culture, and the bonding over food is priceless. read more

This was my first visit to Jollibee in a number of years. The drive-through line was long, so I decided to go inside. They had a $10 special that caught my eye - 2 pieces of chicken, a side, a drink, and a mango peach pie. I ordered it. After ordering, I was standing at the counter, thinking it wouldn't take long since it was just fried chicken. I noticed some customers looking at me as if they were wondering why I was standing, so as they say, "When in Rome do as the Romans," so I sat down. After sitting for a while, I noticed that most of the people seated did not have their food. Then I realized why people looked at me strangely before. It took over 20 minutes to get my food. It is a fast food restaurant. The food I must say was hot and delicious! Unfortunately, I had to rush eating it because the long wait put me behind schedule. I overheard another customer call someone to let them know they were not going to make it to whatever they had planned. I decided to eat the mango pie on the road. It is not car food; the mango and peaches kept oozing out with each bite. Trust me, I caught every bit. It was sooo good! The pineapple drink was also good. While visiting Virginia we always like sticking to our go to places. But this little Mikey Chen voice was saying " Go to Jollibee, it's my favorite!" So here we are. Pull up to the drive through and a friendly voice greets us. Obviously Filipino by the strong unintelligible accent. After ordering we get up to pay and we're shocked by the 50$ total. After reviewing the receipt we noticed she had charged us for the wrong items. (I'm not sure if I could eat 12 peach mango pies) After getting that squared away we were informed our 3 piece chicken tenders would take about 10 minutes to prepare. Not an issue after reading the other reviews about the wait time. Over all our first impression wasn't that good, but the food was pretty good which made up for it. The spicy sriracha sauce on the chicken sandwich was awesome, the chicken juicy and tender, crisp lettuce, overall not that bad. The Cheesy Yumburgers had a certain mouth feel like pre-chewed IKEA meatballs formed into a patty. The sauce on it was really tasty though. The best were the chicken tenders, thick thick with a nice breading crunchy in your mouth. Opted to go with the honey mustard which didn't let us down. Have I had better, yes! But can I say that we've ate at Jollibee now? Definitely. It's not our must go place while in Hampton Roads by all means, but don't let this stop you from going and trying it yourself. read more

In Va. Beach for spring break and Jollibee is a must. Came here for dinner with family last night, since it was dreary and cold there was only a few table occupied. The place looked new, clean and staff were real friendly. We ordered 2 kids spaghetti meals, 3 pieces chicken joy, a hotdog and rice and Salisbury steak. We were enjoying our meals within 15 minutes... well, at least my kids were. I loved the hotdog though it would have been perfect if they used real quick melt cheese. Spaghetti was meh, I make em better. Chicken was crispy but dry. My mom had the Salisbury steak, said it was ok. Glad we were able to come out and had Jollibee again. It was our first time visiting. We LOVED IT!! Ordered some sort of family meal for the 4 of us, definitely had leftovers. Literally all the sides and Chicken were delicious! From the rice, mashed potatoes, spaghetti, to the mango pies. All the service workers were kind and they all wore masks. Also, the place was SPOTLESS! Hand sanitizing stations at the entrance. The most atrocious part of the process is the long waits and missing parts of your order. Even if you're bringing home food to-go to your family, you always need to double check your order. Are all the meals in your bag(s)? Is there gravy for your fried chicken? Did the condiments/sauces you requested get thrown in the bag? The lunch items are okay, but not worth the wait. The fried chicken is great, but I prefer other fast food fried chicken. It's definitely crunchy and seasoned sufficiently salty. The spaghetti is SWEET, so if you're not familiar with Filipino spaghetti, be warned! It's delicious but never fails to destroy my stomach. The palabok can answer those cravings, just douse it in some lime sauce. It's a distinct flavor that I unfortunately cannot properly describe for those who have never tried the dish though, ): The breakfast is alright, but it's due to the cheaper quality of meat. Tapa is seasoned beef and delicious with vinegar (with chillies). It's a little too tough and more like jerky for my taste. The longanisa is the Filipino sweet sausage, and of course- dip it in vinegar to tone down the sweetness. Last but not least, the tocino is also great with vinegar but also still too tough for my tastes. Just have to chew a little bit more to enjoy the sweet pork. All breakfast items are great with an egg, but just make an over medium egg at home. The eggs are rarely runny when it comes with the meal. It's a fast food spot for Filipino favorites. It's pretty good for what it is. Service is hit or miss. The time spent there is too long for a fast food spot, but it's the only Jollibee in the area. read more

Learned of this place through my son who watches a YouTuber that goes here. Once he found out we were heading to VA Beach he asked if we could go, so we did on our way home back to to NOVA. Saw on some of these reviews that they were waiting an hour plus in the drive through. Luckily we only waited about 20 min to order. Well the first thing I will say is most of the people who come here are Filipinos and I'm pretty sure the main reason is because it is something that reminds them of their home country sort of like what McDonald's is here in the USA. That being said I go here with my son and I have also been to Jollibee restaurants in the Philippines and I find the food on both places to be basically pretty similar with some little exceptions but the food every time I have been there is always good and delicious and the staff seem to be friendly people. I noticed a lot of other people mention that the price is a little bit high for fast food but I sort of do not agree 100% because the food my son and I ordered actually just today was $17 and he got three pieces of chicken rice and I had the Jollibee spaghetti and we each had a order of fries and unlimited drinks. When we go to McDonald's we spend about the exact amount for two sandwiches to fries and a drink so it's actually less food so I have no issue with the price because the quality it's always nice. I love the Philippines and the people are so nice and I think if you're looking for a fast food place to try you should give it a chance because it will be something a little different and maybe you will enjoy it so try it out. read more
