Had always loved FJ's. The last several times I've eaten here the quality of the food was lacking. I would mention the service but there would have had to be some. My tea was almost empty when I got my pizza and it was empty when I paid my bill. Pizza was great! Service was not. Waitstaff was slow to take our drink/meal order and was slow to being the ticket. Customers who arrived after us were served first. I love everything about Jo's pizza except that hey don't use their red sauce a lot. They have a lot of heavy, specialty pizzas! Which is always nice but sometimes you just wanna grab a pepperoni and head home to kick off your shoes. To avoid he red sauce disappointment, I tried the chicken Alfredo today. It was tasty for sure but lacked sauce. We also tried the apple dessert- which by the way was the only dessert on the menu. I was hoping to find some cinnamon sticks but no luck. The apple thing was over cooked but u know, it was apples and cinnamon and who can go wrong. Am I crazy?! Maybe my whole life I've been eating pizza with excessive amounts of sauce? When my favorite pizza place in Edmond closed we figured we would need to find a new go to spot for pizza. I like Hideaway, don't get me wrong...but I'm a Jersey gal and I can get picky having grown up on NY Pizza. So we decided to give Jo's a try. We ordered a Mushroom and Canadian bacon pie and waited. We actually seemed to wait a really long time and the place was dead. The pizza was fine and I love that they use fresh mushrooms...I hate those slimy canned ones others use, but (I can't believe I am going to say this) there was just too much Canadian bacon on it. It was all you could taste. Love that they give kids a small amount of dough to play with...it really engaged the few that came in while we were there. Would we go back? Most likely not...but looks like Pizza 23 will be our go to for now, even thought it's a bit of a hike to get there. read more

I first went to Jo's when it opened in Edmond, and honestly I wasn't impressed. I recently decided to go again after a long night of family outings. My family and I had a great time. Something I didn't expect was the dough and plate they brought for my daughter to play with before our order arrived. One nice thing about Jo's is the fact that you can order one pizza with up to 4 different styles. The menu is loaded with option so if you can't decide which one to pick, get 4 different ones and enjoy. The pizza is all made to order so it does take some time. We love the pizza at this restaurant! When they came to Edmond we were told that the crust was a family recipe. We think it is amazing. I'm not usually a cheese pizza person but this is one place where I can eat just that. The Holly's house dressing is great. The food temperature is always right and the staff is very attentive. It is now my favorite pizza. Edmond, I didn't know you had it in you. The crust is thin and salty and crunchy and everything you could ever want. They load it up with toppings galore. I just get traditional old pepperoni and it's delightful. And trust me--I am a pizza connoisseur. They don't do delivery, but you can get curbside takeout OR delivery via postmates. There are only a few places I gotta get my pizza fix from and Jo's Famous Pizza in Edmond is one of them. Every pizza I've had from here has been nothing but fresh and delicious. Their sauce is exceptional, and their meats are really seasoned and tasty as well. The pizza rolls are also a nice appetizer to start with but be sure to save room for the main event. When I called to order my pizza and asked about the yelp coupon- $9.99 for an XL pizza, the employee said- "Yeah. We're all confused about that too, but it was good for August only." That's your bad. Take the coupon down if you don't want to honor it. But I went through with my order. Chessy bread and a large pizza, half pepperoni and half sausage. Pretty standard stuff. Listen guys. The cheesey bread? So bad. It's bread and cheese, how do you go wrong?? Maybe vegan cheese. Not sure. But it's bad. The pizza tasted like gas station pizza. And I finished the entire gas station one. My husband, 2 year old daughter and I had dinner here tonight and absolutely loved the whole experience! They brought my daughter a small ball of raw dough to play with, which kept her entertained up until the pizza came (brilliant!). We ordered a medium Greek salad, (with the dressing and the feta cheese on the side) we were blown away by the portion size for the price and the flavor. I had a small artichoke, mushroom, spinach and bacon pizza and my husband got his usual favorite pepperoni and jalapeño. They do not skimp on the toppings and the crust is buttery and delicious. I used to go to Joe's for lunch years ago when the owner was the cook. The pizza tasted incredible the toppings were abundant and the crust was amazing. It's been awhile since we've been to Joe's and I wanted to treat my family to an excellent pizza. We showed up last Saturday night looking forward to a delicious salad and a pepperoni pizza. The salad was great however the pizza took quite a while to arrive which is normal for Joes. That's when the problems began. Our pizza was clearly overcooked and the crust and pep were blackened along with the sauce being dried up. The waitress came by to ask how are pizza was and for the most part we never complain about the food we receive. This time however was different because we were expecting a delicious pizza and we were served a burnt pie. Upon advising the waitress that the pizza was burnt she simply said sorry. She went about her business and promptly brought the bill for over $45 which represented the full price of the pizza. Not once did the waitress offer to bring us a new pizza to our liking or did she offer to reduce the bill for the burnt pizza we received. To make a long story longer, the group working that night simply did not care about the quality or experience of the customer. I would like to hope that the owner would never have served a pie like that and would have condemned the actions of the staff that evening but I don't know. Unfortunately though this will be our last trip to joes and we will take our business to Hideaway.as they consistently deliver excellent quality food regardless of when you go to the restaurant. I think Joe's time in the sun is done unless they make some major changes ASAP. read more

I've been eating at Jo's since I was a little kid and was thrilled when they opened an Edmond location. In addition to the excellent pizza they are known for, the Edmond location added salads. These salads are prime, consisting of dark greens, other veggies, and house-made dressings. The pizza is the perfect combo of crisp, deep, and loaded with ingredients. The crust cannot be beat. Unfortunately, I live out of town now, but I go back whenever I can. The only complaint I have is that their facility is equipped with a beautiful bar and they don't use it!?!
