This place seems like a small family owned business and it's pretty new so I hate to give less than 5 stars BUT... I ordered the shrimp dumplings / hak gao, siu mai, steamed pork buns, niu luo wan / beef meat balls, egg tarts / dan tat, salted egg yolk buns, and the chang fen / shrimp noodle rolls. total came out to $51... kinda pricy but that's pretty common with any dim sum place these days... sigh. Siu mai was pretty good, big, meaty, a tad over salted maybe. Hak gao was okay. big. not that flavorful... I'm not really a fan of hak gao anyway so idk. Here's where it goes downhill. WORST meatballs I've ever had in my entire life. it tasted like they just made italian style meatballs and just steamed it. texture was coarse and grainy instead of more like a smooth pudding kind of thing that you get at most other places. Flavor is pretty weird too. does not come with worstershisehrihsrishiere sauce. Chang fen was okay. noodles were strangely hard and really oily for some reason? the sauce wasn't sweet enough for my liking. not like your typical chang fen sauce. steamed bbq pork buns ONLY CAME WITH TWO??? wtf? usually it comes with three but... shrinkflation i guess???? dan tat was okay but small. not too sweet. decent crispy / fluffy ratio on the crust. salted egg yolk buns were nice and runny and tasted how it should. sweet and yolky and custardy. people who i interacted with seemed nice enough. Parking was easy to find and there was no wait on Sun afternoon. We ordered most of popular dim sum items. Price was higher than average dim sum places in 626 area. Tea was $2/ person. Shiu mai and ha cao were good and meaty. The BBQ pork buns and sticky rice wrapped were small in portion. There were only 2 buns instead of usual 3 and the sticky rice was only 1 piece per serving. For the price, we expect to receive a better portion or at least the same as other places. The steamed egg yolk buns were runny and flavorful. Chicken feet were also small in portion and flavor was just ok. The steamed BBQ Pork rice roll had lot of BBQ meat but the texture of the rice roll wasn't smooth. Service was quick. Clean restaurant and nice ambiance with soft music in the background. read more

Super friendly service and generous portion on the chef crispy noodle special (ask for extra gravy on it). Good dim sum too - the char siew and har gao was good and their veggies was super fresh and not over seasoned. Some of the flavors here are very fresh and don't have as much msg as other restaurants which makes the food good. Their chili sauce is also very good with a lot of kick. Very nice clean dining room with cute interiors and a tv playing sports. Full dim sum menu at very reasonable prices. Nice little addition to east Pasadena area. Very reasonable prices too. Read about this restaurant somewhere and decided to try it after a day of packing to move. I showed up about 45 minutes before they closed. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Way to many things to pick from while dining alone. I have to go back with more people. Had help picking a seafood dish from the specialty section. Chinese chefs will tell you that you feast first with your eyes. The presentation was spot on. I don't eat much, but the chef made this very appetizing. The flavors were a little subdued, but about what I'd expect. I hope to be back. read more

Their service was lacking. I walk in to do a take out and immediately they tell me I have to order online and I need to move away from the front counter. I sit in a booth and a very rude Chinese man tells me a have to move because the booth is reserved. Now normally I would not take up space but there is absolutely no one here... no one! And he didn't need to be such an ass about it. I am hoping their food makes up for them being so rude to me!! They need to learn some people skills!! read more

Went here for lunch, and was pleasantly surprised for find they serve dinsum all day. The food was comparable to Chinatown dimsum, which is good. I don't have to drive down there anymore, and this place is very close to my home. The menu overall is crazy extensive (other than dimsum). They have a huge Chinese food menu, plus some Thai (pad Thai), and even spaghetti! Overall, the food is good, the interior is nice and new, and the employees are super nice. This was my 3rd visit and have grown fond of their traditional dishes. In all honesty, my first couple visits were for their dim sum which I found to be marginal. However, we were pleasantly surprised by how delicious their "angry fried rice", moo gai pan chicken and salt & pepper chicken tasted. Probably the Worst Service I've Received Since Jim Cow After studying two hours for the bar exam at Peet's, I decided to try this place out. I went in prepared to pay money and asked the young lady behind the counter if there was a to-go menu. She gladly handed me one. Ten seconds after sitting down at the nearest empty table to peruse the menu, another young lady comes out and says, "Sir, please sit over here," pointing to the empty three chairs at the entrance. Her tone was akin to when someone assumes you're just there to use the restroom. After deciding what I wanted, I walked back to the counter, which was now being worked by the snooty lady. She said, "Can I help you?" in that fake tone meant to imply she was surprised that I would think myself worthy of this superior establishment. Emotional intelligence is the ability to read the subtext behind the pretext. All but writers, artists and advertisers tend to poo-poo because doing so gives them permission to play dumb and pretend there's a million ways to interpret what someone has said. Fools think that as long their words technically conform to good manners, they can pack those words with condescending tones. I don't play that. This place needs to check itself before it wrecks itself and finds itself out of business. read more
