Dan dan noodles are great. Flavor is spicy but not too spicy. Noodles are perfectly cooked. If you are new to Dan Dan noodles, give them a try. Will not disappoint!

Originally, we wanted to go to Din Tai Fung, but all the reservations were booked and this was only 5 minutes away. It appears unassuming from the outside but the food is satiating and the staff is attentive to your needs. The ambiance was inviting and warm, filled with many families and friends. We ordered the Beef Roll, Dan Dan noodles, and the Spicy Pork and Shrimp Wontons. The Beef Roll was our favorite, not only for the taste, but also because of the amount of food given. We expected to get only 1 roll split into 3 pieces, but they gave us 2 rolls (6 pieces) instead. The Dan Dan Noodles were rich in flavor and the shrimp and spicy wontons were amazing. Definitely give this place a try!

On our first visit, my family and I were very impressed. The service is fast and the food is delicious. I love ordering our dishes on the check off sheet like dim sum style. It's hard to decide which dumplings to select because they all look so tempting. We ordered chicken pan fried dumplings, chive and shrimp dumplings, orange chicken, fried green beans, and chicken chow mein. I highly recommend the chicken chow mein and the chicken pan fried noodles. They were so delicious! The green beans are also very good. My kids who do not love vegetables kept asking for more servings. I can't wait to go back to try other dumpling options.

Clean, quick, simple. Walking into JDF feels like walking into a traditional cafe. But thankfully they clean their floors, tables, and restroom (tidy) and offer plenty of large group seating. Their menu is so straightforward and easy to navigate (carbs & beers), and they open the same hours daily (11 am - 9 pm). Being reasonably priced, they should make for an efficient, laid-back group hangout. I would rate their food 4 out of 5 stars. I was impressed with their pan-fried chicken dumplings, which were juicy and had a delightfully and excessive crispy wrapper that reminded me of chips, perfect for pairing with beer. The juicy pork dumplings, however, were just okay and not particularly noteworthy. What gives them a 5 is their customer service (being checked in on few times in one sitting was nice), food turnout time (10 minutes) and cleanliness.

We ordered dumplings, popcorn chicken, ribs with black beans and garlic & chow mein. Nice flavor, served hot and portion size typical. It was a busy Friday night, so service was a little slow but attentive. Ambience nice; quite different looking from its prior Denny's. If you make a yelp review and show your post to the waitstaff you are eligible to pick out a menu item from their special menu. A nice plus to try new food items for free with your next visit .

We're here for lunch because we liked it the last time we were here. We're getting the scallion pie, soup dumblings, and chicken chow mein. All are delicious. Lots of selections on the menu.

Overall satisfying meal! Came here for my 2nd wedding anniversary. Our first date was at a dumpling house and we had Dan Dan noodles and dumplings. So I came here because of the Dan Dan noodle reviews. Ordered: Garlic Noodles Dan Dan Noodles Noodles tasted fresh and al dente, chewy and delicious. I am always looking for a great garlic noodle and this one was great! It's been awhile since I found a descent one, but I enjoyed this hot and fresh and also the next day for lunch. Added the shrimp. Will come again just for this. The Dan Dan noodles were good, but missing a bit of the peanut flavor. Scallion pancakes I liked these but at the time didn't have much of a scallion flavor. Not sure why, but I reheated at home and added some chili too it and it was fantastic! Dumplings: Spicy wontons and Pork/ Cabbage Dumpling. Both were juicy and flavorful, but we liked the spicy wontons more. A bit about the restaurant. There is a parking lot so it was easy to find a spot. There was a waiting list but we were seating quickly. Servers were attentive and we received the food quickly. Definitely my new go to noodles place in the South Bay.

We came for lunch and the restaurant was fairly busy with the optimal amount of air conditioning on a hot day. We were greeted by Pam, who was efficient, sweet and got us the food fairly quickly after we ordered. I love the cucumber salad and today, we also tried the green beans. And you can't come here without the juicy soup dumplings! We had to order two orders.

Came here for the first time with my boyfriend because we were looking for good soup dumplings in the area, and this place did not disappoint! As soon as we walked in, we were greeted warmly and seated right away, which I always appreciate. The restaurant is spacious with plenty of seating, even though it was busy. Everything we ordered was delicious! We got the Dan Dan noodles, soup dumplings, cucumber salad, and orange chicken, and every dish was flavorful and fresh. The soup dumplings were definitely the highlight and exactly what we were hoping for. I would highly recommend giving this place a try if you're craving great Chinese food, especially their soup dumplings!

On our first visit we ordered Kung Pao Shrimp and the chili diced chicken. The servings were ample and we had leftovers to take home. The food was delicious! Service was perfect. We will definitely be back! So glad to have great Chinese food in our neighborhood!

Food was amazing Service was the same! Please don't change! The young lady at the front seated us (10 of us) last minute on a Saturday night.

Fantastic service! All staff are so welcoming, friendly and attentive. Ambiance is open, clean, definitely feels like the layout of a Denny's (what it used to be) but modernized. Dan Dan noodles- chewy noodles in spicy, flavorful seasonings and ground pork. I wish it had more peanut flavor, but still very good. Pork Juicy dumplings- not super juicy, but good. Garlic green beans- super garlicky, crunchy, delicious! Shrimp, pork, chives pan fried dumplings-really good, super flavorful, perfection. Pork spare ribs- the best item on the menu. Getting this every time! Excited to come back here again.

We waited 20 minutes for a glass of water and our cocktails were watered down... they sat too long before they were served... I was excited about the menu only to be let down Food was average at best- We ordered- Taiwanese Crepe- 0 - this was delivered with what we were told a thick soy sauce. It was laughable. A heavy crêpe with cheese, egg, and a chunk of bacon, hoisin sauce mixed with some soy sauce. This was a joke. Scallop roll-0 Dragon roll - 8 A dozen oysters- teeny tiny & tasteless! Pork belly eggs Benedict- Kudos for the toasted airy bread Pork Belly was dry, This was part was really odd. One of the poached eggs was hard and the other was perfectly done with a runny yoke. Hollandaise is minimal and not a lot of flavor. Chicken Karaage was decent but I don't get the sauce they served with it ! I was SO disappointed in the Japanese pancake. It is not cooked correctly. It's more cake like. So let's add horrible service with average food...no need to come back. One more added note. The heavy hard chairs are so uncomfortable. The booth side is better.

When you dine in they bring metal cups with an icy cold carafe of cold water to your table. Customer service is efficient. The person behind the counter is very soft spoken and gives you a slight smile but gets your order correct every time. Hands down so don't argue with me they have the absolute BEST orange chicken. It has a slight crunch on the outside while tender and juicy in the inside. The orange sauce is perfection. It has a great balance of salty and sweet without being overly sweet like an orange candy. It's not tart and you can tell the ingredients are fresh. They put the right amount of sauce so it is not drenched. Pair it with the garlic rice and the salad that crops and fresh no dressing is even needed. Order this and you will be happy. The regular white rice is good too! In addition, Taishi Hainan Chicken also opened another location in Long Beach. [Parking]: The parking lot is fairly small and is shared with Chicken Maison, but there is usually a spot available to park. [Ordering]: There's a kiosk to place an order at the cashier counter and I didn't pay any additional fee. However if customers order online via Chowbus, then there is a $1 online ordering fee. I received my order in less than 10 minutes as I was the sole customer. [Atmosphere]: Casual dine-in atmosphere and nothing to write home about. [Menu]: For their signature Thai-style Hainan Chicken, customers can order original, fried, or mixed chicken. There is no longer a Yelp check-in offer for free Herbal Chicken Soup, but it remains another popular order. *** Mixed Hainan Chicken Rice ($15.72): This order came with two sauces - one dark & spicy soy sauce (good for fried white chicken) and one sweet & sour sauce (good for original white meat). I personally prefer the fried over the original. Decent portion and enough to feed 1 adult. Herbal Chicken Soup (with spicy dipping sauce - $9.65): This is a really nice soup to drink when you have a cold. The broth had 5 herbs - Codonopsis, Rhizoma, Goji Berry, Dioscorea, and Astragalus. The chicken soup also had mushrooms and the broth was very savory. *** Overall still a solid 4 stars for the Hainan chicken rice and herbal chicken soup. This is one of those places I wouldn't mind stopping by again if I am looking to switch things up with what I want to eat for the day.
