I've been hearing about Juliet for a while now on the internet and through friends . Me and my man decided to try them out on a Tuesday for date night , I called and asked what time they closed and the guy on the phone ( which I assumed is the owner) told me 9pm but on open table it gave me the option to book 9:30 table. I stated that then he changed and said well the kitchen and bar closes at 9:40, kind of threw me off but I still wanted to give it a try. The scenery is nice from the outside all the way to the bathroom inside , very esthetic . I asked for a booth when I made the reservation which the guy who's served us was going to do until the owner came and moved us claiming that those were reserved . Our server was nice, the drinks were decent but high priced. We had the shrimp appetizer which was good, for dinner we had gulf snapper, pork chop, bourbon glazed carrots, mashed potatoes, Mac and cheese and side of black truffle lobster. Everything was good no complaints , bill came out to about $330 which wasn't too bad despite everything we go. Food tasted good until I found a long hair in my steak and horrible customer service. Bartender tried to double charge me and when I refused they claimed I was trying to leave on my bill after I showed them they charged me. Extremely rude and unprofessional. Never again! read more

We visited this place for a anniversary celebration for my brother and his wife of 13 years. The venue was nice and very creative. The prices were super high, but the food was good. When the bill came, all of our orders were on one ticket which was over $500. We asked why the bill was not split and we were told that they do not split tickets. My brother was not happy about it because we were going to have to calculate the ticket ourselves. The server was not friendly at all. She never introduced herself and acted as if we were a bother to her. She went and told the manager that my brother was giving her a hard time about the bill. He came in and confronted my brother and began yelling and throwing his hands up. There was a party next to us that witnessed the entire scene. He was totally unprofessional. His posture was extremely hostile. He yelled out to the staff to close us out and he opened the back exit door, and told us to use that door when we exited the venue. He said he was calling the police and we were all just dum-founded. At no time did anyone at or table yell or do anything that would warrant calling the police or being verbally abused by that manager. As he was on the phone calling the police, I asked what was his name and he said Kevin. I asked for his last name and he said "Durrant". The manager Kevin or Kelvin was so rude and disrespectful! He doesn't have a clue how to deal with customers. He yelled at my husband just because he asked why the bill was on on one ticket. I was extremely disappointed in this place. The waiter was rude to the verge of disrespectful. The food was mediocre not worth the price. The mac and cheese was not good so when I asked to exchange it for something else I was told bc someone else returned the Mac and cheese earlier the chef and the manager tasted and they said it was good so no I can no exchange for another side. The drinks looks nice but were not good. The manager was just as rude, I would never recommend anyone to this place nor will I ever return. This is sad bc I love to support black businesses but they need to tweak their menu and learn customer service skills. Also they will ask you if you want sauce or seasoning on your food for an extra $23 but don't tell u it's extra until u get your bill. Food is honestly mid and took forever to come out (~40 minutes for mains to come out). I had the crab and avocado stack, and it was overly acidic where I could not taste the crab unfortunately. Steaks were unbelievably rich where I could only take a couple of bites. Service tried to pull it off by saying I have broke tastebuds. They even tried to put my mom and I on a high top when I clearly asked to be put at a table for my reservation. IG was going insane over this place. I really dont even understand why. We waited over 30 mins to get seated even after having resys. We did not try much food. The food we tried (calamari) was jus mediocre. The ambiance is cool I guess however we got seated in a terrible corner and the seating was jus awkward. Horrible set up. And it was freezing. Really good food choices! Can't really go wrong. We ordered different things and shared. Appetizers: Pork belly, calamari, shrimp and crab cakes. Dinner: pork chop, lamp chops, crab and truffle mac. If you are unfamiliar with this area, it's hard to find the restaurant because it's tucked in the back of the shopping center. Had reservations for 5:15 on a Saturday. You pretty much have to valet. They are probably trying to deter club goers from parking there. $10. And I paid the valet upfront which was unusual for me. The hostess tried to seat us at a high top table. I asked could we sit at a low table or booth because I barstools uncomfortable for sitting for a long time. We were told we needed to wait 20 minutes for a server to arrive before we could sit at a regular table. So, we sat at the bar and ordered drinks until a new server retrieved us. I loved the jalapeño popcorn. I ordered the snapper, mashed potatoes and Brussels sprouts. I was surprised that the snapper was a filet. It came with a cream sauce. It tasted bland. The mashed potatoes were good. For the price, I have had better, more interesting meals in Houston. I expected the menu to have more pizzaz. I feel like I could have had a better dinner at Pappadeaux's. The concept and decor is cute but unless they over haul the menu I won't be back. read more

My hubby planned a date night for us because he knew I wanted to try this restaurant. We weren't sure what to expect after reading some of the reviews. I must say, I loved it!!! I'm very particular and big in customer service, everything was great! The food was amazing, Truluck's is my favorite restaurant and Juliet's filet was giving Truluck's, I added the Oscar topping with crab and Asparagus. The sauce was delicious! The Brussels sprouts were phenomenal! I went here with a group of for a bday dinner , when we got there we had no option but to valet so we did . When we walked in hosts was not very helpful, my husband had to ask which door do we go through. We walked in it was a pretty small area the music playing was good but it quickly got crowded and it was giving like night club vibes and it was hot in there . The flower wall in the restroom area was cute and the photo wall . They serve you complimentary popcorn when you first arrive which was cold and stale our table hardly touched it . First, it started with the parking people. They were moving slow. he held my card for 10 minutes . I was trying to pay but he was arguing with some dude in the lot so I walked away. Next, we sit down . The waiter came and took our drink order. Took like 30 minutes for him to come back with the drinks. He so caught up with the table with the $325 tomahawk that he didn't come back for whole hour! So then, he gets our order . 10 minutes later the power goes out for 7.3 seconds. He comes back like 10 minutes later and tries to confirm our order. At this point, we are upset and hungry so we ask for the manager. The manager acting nonchalant. The waiter tried to make up for with these nasty shots. On top of that, he messed up the check TWICE and our order. We had to box up our food because we were going to miss our next reservation. The atmosphere was so promising. I was so excited to come here and my husband was surprising me with somewhere new! ABSOLUTELY NOT! We had a reservation at 8:00 and we stayed waiting in the lobby until 9:25 everyone was saying their reservation times and everyone was getting seated before us with reservation times after us! I actually had high hopes for this place but why have set reservations if you cap them out and can't seat anybody. Especially if you will be going to social media to attract customers and can't comply with service. We wanted to come in for brunch because we heard some awesome things about it well totally disappointed. it was my mom my daughter and I first there was no coffee how is there no coffee for brunch second the music was not appropriate for a brunch setting. I spoke with a manager name Orlando and asked him about the music and his delivery was very rude and distasteful I commented saying that "the owner doesn't want them touching or changing the music so he's not" I followed by asking if the guest is not agreeing with the music how is it not able to be taken care of he shrugged his shoulders and walked off as if he didn't care so I spoke with a lady manager name iris and she was very sweet and understanding that there was children in the building and she took care of it. I'm not sure how can the guy Orlando could not adjust or fix my concerns. His attitude was very inappropriate we will not be back. His lack of compassion will tear down a restaurant. read more

Me and one of my girlfriends visiting this place on Sunday we had a great time the drinks were good the food was OK. We were thinking you know this is a good girls night and we go home and we're fine the very next evening we're both sick as a dog we ate two totally different things we drink completely different things the only common denominator that we both visited this establishment I'm not sure if it was our waitress. I'm not sure if it was the silverware or cups not being washed properly because it was a busy night for them I don't know what it is but I know that I am sick because I visited this establishment. I had a great time however if you do visit this establishment I would request a seat that is not a two seated table so you're not sitting on top of other people and the waitress has room to speak to you without being so close in your face. This place is such a scam! Arrive and had to pay $20 for SELF PARKING. Had reservations so getting seated was easy and fast. Our server was cool in the beginning but after bringing out our food she didn't come back at all except to bring the check. The food was mediocre at best, we had the lamb chops & snapper.... It was two small lamb chops served on a huge plate and the snapper was just a block of fish, also small and it really was a block like it had been cut down for aesthetics. Sides are family style so we ordered broccolini & carrots because didn't want to order "too much" food but we were wrong! The sides also did come in larger bowls but not even filled half way, i could genuinely say we got about 4-6 broccolini florets and the same amount of caramelized baby carrots. Drinks, we ordered one signature cocktail that tasted exactly like just strawberry lemonade (no alcohol) and an old fashion (which was not on their menu & don't recommend) that cost $30 because it was not on the menu!! Finally, the atmosphere, it was a tuesday night so we were looking forward to a live band and not at all what we got! There was a guy seated in a corner next to the restrooms playing an eletric piano and singing. No jabs towards him, he might've been great but we couldn't tell, the sound was too loud to even enjoy and my husband and I couldn't even have a conversation. All in all, will never go back, paid $303 (not including tip) for an overhyped restaurant, it's not worth it, don't do it to yourself! If it was great food, great service & great atmosphere than it would've been a different story! I hate to have to write a negative review about Black owned business, but I would not recommend coming here for an event. We arrived early (9:15) for our reservation at 9:45 and the hostesses told us we couldn't be seated until 10. We waited by the bar until about 10:30 until we finally decided to leave because we STILL hadn't been seated and the kitchen closed at 11. Can you imagine 26 people, dressed up with for a birthday dinner (who booked weeks in advance & paid a deposit for a private room) just standing and waiting at a bar for over an hour just to be seated? Just horrible customer service...I've never seen a restaurant handle a situation like this so badly. The manager was clearly overwhelmed and had no idea how to remedy the situation and completely mishandled it and sadly ruined the night. I went here a few weeks ago and originally I felt like I had an ok experience. I had a reservation for 7:30 and upon arrival I valet my car and went inside. Everything and everyone was nice. The overall dining experience was good. Once I got home I realized that the valet had stolen a bag out of my car. The next day I went back to the restaurant and informed the manager and valet manager that items were stolen from my car. The manger seemed uninterested with the matter and the valet manager told me that it's the risk I take when I valet my car. I had proof that it was stolen from my car at the restaurant, but unless I had a camera from my car showing someone stealing it they would not accept responsibility. I've been to plenty of fine dining restaurants and have never been treated in such a dismissive manner. The lack of ownership for what happened is why I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. read more
