They had no cake said the baker didn't come in. they called the owner at the Middletown location and said pick up there in an hour. i had to send somebody else to get it. My mother actually the birthday person. i think they pulled two vanilla cakes out of the freezer and tried to thaw them and put mocha frosting on them. it ended up being the driest cake.We ever have eaten. we ordered two I should have returned one. I guess they should get a little credit for effort but the cakes not ready with ample notice, and the wrong cakes for$56 . Brenda do better! My mother and her friends still frequent the middle town location every week! though she was extremely disappointed.

The raspberry frosting is extremely memorable and the chocolate flavor of the cupcake was very good. The spot has a pleasant sitting area that's functional but not necessarily cute to sit in and relax. Not much to look at inside. Overall a spot to get your Italian fix if you feel like paying the prices. It does have a great selection of cheeses, meats, and Italian goods which admittedly I didn't try. It's a slightly expensive spot even for Newport which is already an expensive town to eat in.
