Stopped by Jurassic Magic for a cortado. The drink looked Solid at first, but it didn't quite come together the way I hoped. The flavor was decent and enjoyable enough, but the biggest issue was the texture. It had a chalky, almost powdery mouthfeel that made it feel muddy and took away from the overall experience. Presentation was okay, though there were some visible bubbles in the milk that kept it from having that smooth, glossy finish you'd expect from a really well-executed cortado. The latte art was decent enough, but nothing particularly memorable. The texture never really improved from the first sip to the last. The body broke apart a little more than halfway. Not a bad cortado by any means, and the taste itself was decent, and service was pretty straight forward and solid. The place itself is nice and somewhere I would hang out but I'm not sure if I'd return for the cortado.

Ooookay hot coffee shop! I recently saw Jurassic Magic on a list of great caffeination stations in Los Angeles so had to check them out. Under the Speciality drinks, I had to try their Magic Latte for $8 plus an extra 50 cents for an oat milk sub! I loved this drink with it's mix of clove, ginger, cinnamon and nutmeg ~ yum. I also got,per suggestions from you Yelpers (thanks!), the Jurassic Magic Cold Brew ($6.50) which I added vanilla syrup for 50 cents to. Liked it but it didn't hit as much as that Magic Latte. They also have a bunch of baked goods, sourced from Sugar Bloom Bakery. The Gluten-free devil's food donut is $5.50 here and I love it. I understand they may be starting to bake some of their own pastries, as well, Overall, glad I popped into Jurassic Magic and love their new-ish food spot Convi next door.

We got the bright eyes cold brews and the magic latte. The cold brew felt a bit watered down to me. I wish I could taste the flavor of the beans more. The magic latte was good, but it also didn't strike me as very flavorful in terms of the coffee. The spices were not strong but still overpowered the coffee taste. For those who want to do work on their laptop, there's a nice bigger area in the back of the cafe which is super cool! The ambiance/vibes were very hip.

Super cute place! Love that it's next to convi, yumm. I love that they have a back area that's well decorated & there were seatings! Will be back to study one day. I love the decors & vibe! The staffs were really sweet! Street parking

My friend told me about a cute little coffee shop named Jurassic Magic and I was intrigued. Plus, they're next door to Convi, which serves great sandwiches! My friend recommended the Magic Latte, and when I asked the barista for a suggestion, she also recommended it! I knew it was the drink for me, but debated between hot and iced. She suggested hot, and it was the perfect choice. I really enjoyed the Magic Latte - while I didn't get any magical powers, I loved the caffeine kick and the delicious taste. I will definitely be back for more magical lattes!

I've been to Jurassic Magic a couple of times and yet haven't reviewed it until now. Every time I've been, the lush backyard never fails to impress me. It's always nice to come here in the quiet hours of the morning and spend some time reading. Staff are always friendly and I never have to wait long for my drinks, even though there's always been a line every time I've been here. There is wifi available, but this place isn't really a remote work spot- they only have low tables inside and not a lot of seating. I've gotten both coffee and matcha here before and both are great. They have a lot of drink specials which I always make sure to order.

my regular : iced cinnamon syrup latte with sweet cold foam

i've loved you guys for over two years now, but it's a bit ludicrous to be charging six dollars for the tiniest donut. Latte($8) and donut($6) came out to be $14. How is a donut almost the same price as my beverage???? THE PRICING MAKES NO SENSE. also, why did you guys remove the cinnamon syrup from the mid city location but still have it at the MacArthur park one...having lavender instead kinda sucks...basic like every other cafe in LA. ugh it's so unfortunate. another thing that makes no sense. Come on owners be better...

Jurassic Magic had been on my list of cafes to try for some time, and after two visits I can safely say I'm a fan! I appreciate the personable and welcoming employee interactions, and their menu offers your standard espresso-based and matcha drinks along with their own unique concoctions. I tried their Fall Basics drink, which was an iced Americano garnished with cacao nibs, a chocolate-yuzu cold foam, and citrus zest. It was a refreshing beverage that I consumed quickly, and the flat white I tried on a subsequent visit was well-crafted. I was impressed by the garden seating area that is located in the rear section of the cafe. It feels like a hidden oasis as you walk past the vinyl recordings and other merchandise on sale. There are also various tables lining the sidewalk in front of the shop.

MAGICAL NEIGHBORHOOD MID-CITY CAFE Lucky to have this café within walking distance, definitely a local gem. PARKING Can be tough on weekends, especially between 9-11 a.m. It's a busy residential corner with limited spots, so plan accordingly. PASTRY The gluten-free chocolate doughnut is ridiculously good: rich, moist, and honestly better than Sidecar. Rating: 5/5 COFFEE The cappuccino quality depends on who's behind the machine. I prefer mine strong with more espresso than milk, but the last one leaned a little too milky. Rating: 4/5 OVERALL Don't miss the backyard patio, it's got the best vibe. The striped umbrellas out front are great for chatting with locals, dog-watching, or soaking up some sun. Staff is warm and welcoming, which seals the deal. RATING: 5/5 HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

Walked in and the environment was so cool!! There was a great space in the back with greenery and seated spots. The store next door was a market that also served small dishes and snacks. I loved my experience and the service was so kind. I can't wait to come back again to study.

This truly is a little pocket of magic tucked away in the corner of my neighborhood that brings me so much joy every time I come. The place itself has great outdoor seating, and is always such a nice way to meet cool people and cute dogs in the community, but if you go in thru the looking glass in the back you'll find yourself in a truly magical outdoor hang space that is also an installation for local vendors. The coffee is expertly prepared using great beans and the specialty and seasonal drinks are always a hit. I'd be remiss not to mention how lovely the staff are. Everyone not only cares about what they're doing, but they genuinely seem to like working with each other and recognize their value in the community. I've been coming here since they opened and will continue to invite this magic into my life at every opportunity I get. Thanks ya'll!

Great quality coffee & lots of delicious food & pastry items (their ham & cheese croissants are perfect) Super cute spot with lots of indoor seating & great vibes if you want to socialize over a cup of coffee I had the Gentle Giant & it had a strong herbal taste from the cardamom which gave it a unique flavor Would definitely come back & try a different one of their specialty coffees

This spot was right near my motel. Hidden a bit but worth the walk. Staff were very friendly, the latte was a tad milky for my taste but still was delicious. Loved the hint of spice. They also have a variety of pastries, the chocolate croissants are very flaky.

One of my favorite coffee shops in LA. Get there early if you plan to post up to work. Seating is limited and gets claimed fast.

Many of the smaller artisinal coffee shops close around 2-3 pm. Luckily, Qamaria Yemeni Coffee Co. Is not one of those early closers, and I'm so glad I was able to come here after work at 6pm before my long drive back to San Fernando Valley. Just the small sample that I got today already made me want to come back here. I got a cup of Americano made from Mount Haraz medium roast coffee from Yemen, and it was just so delicious with its slightly earthy but pleasant flavor. There are a lot of other unique coffee drinks from Mufawar ( Mount Haraz medium roast + cardamom) to Sheeba (Qishr coffee beans) with ginger & cinammon. And coffee is not the only thing on the menu that can take you on an adventure. The desert and pastries are all very tantalizing, from Saffron Milk Cake to Honeycomb Khaliat Al-Nahl cake to what I got, which is the very delicious Pistachio Kunafa Cheesecake. It was a real treat for anyone who wants to take their sweet tooth beyond the basic same ol' flavors you tend to see in majority of coffee shops! Additionally, the shop has a gorgeous interior decor with its high ceilings, beautiful murals, and exquisite presentation of your tasty treats! Love the tray the used for my Americano and dessert! I'll be sure to come back here, especially since it does open late!

Everything is made with high quality ingredients, and each drink has its own creative twist. We tried the Honeycomb Toffee (Dalgona), Peanut Cream, Strawberry Matcha, Matcha Cream Top, and the Mango Sticky Rice Cream Tea. The Honeycomb Toffee was smooth with a rich espresso flavor balanced by the sweet house made honeycomb toffee. It was creamy without being overly sweet. The Peanut Cream was one of my favorites. The salted peanut cream paired perfectly with the espresso, and the crushed peanuts and chocolate added great texture and flavor. If you're a matcha lover, the Strawberry Matcha is a must try. The house made strawberry preserves add just the right amount of sweetness without overpowering the earthy matcha. The Matcha Cream Top was also delicious with its silky salted matcha cream that made every sip extra smooth. The most unique drink we ordered was definitely the Mango Sticky Rice Cream Tea. It tasted just like the classic dessert with fresh mango flavor, creamy tea, and a rich finish that made it stand out from everything else on the menu. The drinks were beautifully presented, tasted as good as they looked, and were clearly made with attention to detail.
