Kopioso Coffee is a fusion coffee shop, which combines Indonesian and Latin-American-inspired flavors. 'Kopi' means coffee in Indonesian and 'Oso' means bear in Spanish and when you combine the two, you get Kopioso! It's located in a beautiful art-deco building in Hancock Park/Ktown-adjacent and parking is a bit tough. There's mostly street parking (some metered spots are 30 minutes max during specific hours, so be careful and read the signs). It was actually a little confusing trying to get there, but we eventually found it at the corner of the block in the Deco Building, right across from the Jack-in-the-box. The building was initially a neighborhood bank and is now used for special events. Kopioso Coffee's most popular drinks are their signature Kopi Susu and Horchatta Latte as well as their buttered toffee latte, honey lavender latte, pistachio latte, and tres chocolates latte. Unfortunately, when I went, they didn't have a lot of their lattes since they were preparing for an expo the next day. So I decided to just go with what was available, which was the Kopi Susu. It comes with two shots of espresso but decided to do just one with less sweetness and I really enjoyed it. It was delicious. The coffee was a bit small, so I literally finished it very quickly. Overall, great service and in a beautiful building. Parking just sucks and the 12 ounce cup is a tad bit too small. read more

I am SO happy I found KopiOso Coffee on Yelp! It might be my new neighborhood favorite. KopiOso opened 2 months ago and is an Indonesian woman owned business in an old bank. The space itself is seriously gorgeous: vaulted ceiling, tons of natural light (even on a cloudy rainy day), and funky art deco elements. They even have the original vault in the back which Mieke let me peak into. So cool and so much potential since they are still figuring out what to do with the space. Downstairs, there are a few huge comfy couches, high top tables to sit at, and lots of great shopping, too. They have a section with Indonesian food and drinks for purchase, as well as a nook with purses, Indonesian made clothing, and more. Upstairs, where I set up shop for the long haul, are a few tables all with unique seating. They are nicely spread out overlooking the coffee shop below. Free wifi worked great. OKAY so you're coming for coffee. I ordered a hot oat milk latte with their homemade honey lavender syrup. It was just how I like it, strong, flavorful, creamy, and not too sweet. They get it here. I was a little bummed they were out of their homemade pistachio syrup, but that just means I'll have to come back another time to try it. This is exactly the sort of business I like to see opening up in this area when there are countless Coffee Beans and Starbucks nearby. I can't wait to become a regular! read more

Came here for open house event. Unfortunately the pistachio latte was sold out so I opted for the latte that had chocolate. It was very light tasting, mild and it was ok. This is inside an old bank, The Deco Building on Wilshire. There are plenty of seats inside and upstairs. They have wifi. A couple friends and I were waiting for a table at a nearby brunch place and decided to find somewhere to get coffee. We looked up coffee places near us and KopiOso coffee popped up, and looked like a fairly new places. We accidentally went into the building next door looking for it but eventually ended up at the right place. The space is a lot bigger than I was expecting! KopiOso coffee just opened up 2 months ago and is located inside a shared working space. There are floor to ceiling windows, a mass of plants, and plenty of table space. There were also a few other shops inside to check out. I originally wanted to try the pistachio latte as I've never seen that on a menu, but it was sold out when I got there. I got there around noon, so I would recommend arriving earlier if you want to try it! I ended up getting the buttered toffee latte and it was absolutely delicious. Not too sweet and well balanced. Highly recommend checking out this new coffee shop! The staff is wonderfully nice as well. read more

This was the perfect spot for a rainy day of working and coffee. It was both cozy and airy with lots of different seating options, plentiful outlets, and a delicious iced vanilla latte. The music was a great addition to the vibe and the staff was so friendly! Parking is a challenge but that's on par for the neighborhood. I was invited to hang out at the Deco building and it was a really cool spot. As you walk in, Kopioso Coffee is in the front for all your caffeinated needs. I ordered their most popular drink which is called the "Kopi Susu." It's Indonesian iced coffee with condensed milk. As a big fan of condensed milk, this was right up my alley. It was delicious. Would recommend! Kopioso Coffee is located in the historical Deco building and if I was in the area and needed to get work done, I would bring my laptop here and hang out. This building is worth checking out itself if you're into architecture. There is free Wi-Fi and it's definitely a cool vibe. Oh also, the service here is great. You can tell a lot of love was put into each drink they serve. The lady taking my order was kind, patient, and pleasant, so that was nice. Wow! This place is so unassuming from the outside but turns into a great gatsby, art deco dream inside! Tons of diff seating options and seems like it would be a lovely place to do work. Located inside of a deco building is a cumulating of various shops that are mainly Indonesian. I was glad to know I was supporting an Indonesian spot, as the sold lots of snacks. The coffee shop is more so a coffee stand, the seating is littered throughout the building. I got a honey lavender oat latte and came out around ~$7-8. They have accessible wifi and plenty of seating. Only issue is parking is hard to find, there is a neighborhood near by where you can park for 2 hours. It is about 0.5 miles away. read more

Amazing coffee shop! Ok, they not only have awesome coffee in a super cool place (it's an old bank) but there are tons of small woman-owned businesses within the space as well. There's plenty of space to sit and enjoy your coffee or bring a book/laptop and work/relax. The parking is tricky, you have to find a side street to park and then walk a little, but it's better than paying $8 to park in a garage. This place is a hidden gem! I came here to get a bit of work done after an appointment across the street. They have free wifi and two floors where you can sit and do some work. They have music playing, but it's not too loud. The service here was also amazing. I was sitting a bit out of reach from the outlet and the guy who made my coffee plugged in an extension cord "in case I needed it." I ordered the honey lavender latte and it was delicious! I wish they had more sizes to choose from, but it was good nonetheless. I will definitely be back to do a WFH day from this beautiful shop! read more

Stumbled upon this on Yelp after I went to a nearby workout class and thought I'd check it out because of the beautiful windows and plants. It's a multi use building with many different stalls for shopping and office use. The coffee is in the corner right when you enter. The building itself is beautiful, quiet, and has lots of places to sit and work. Arrived at 11 am on a Friday and there's only one other person working here! Feels very peaceful. The interior is very eclectic and the coffee front is right by the entrance. Their signature coffee drink is sweet and full of flavor. The iced brown sugar latte was good too. Wow! This is much more than a coffee shop. Firstly, let me start by saying I am picky about quality and attention to detail. That said, I was able to order a specialty drink (a 'butter toffee latte', mmm!) with a request of 'less sweet' - something most places struggle with- and get it absolutely right (both the brew and the sweetness/flavor) and served with a smile! Enjoyed an excellent croissant here, and checked out the incredible and HUGE historic art-deco suite featuring an array of rooms offering Indonesian specialty items - snacks, clothes, adorable thatchwork basket purses, and even high-class wigs for sale. If you are interested in Indonesian stuff, please come here! Parking is in the back, limited but this place is more than worth making a stop anyway. We brought our friends visiting from out-of-state and KopiOso did not let us down in impressing them and making them love LA even more! I forgot to mention - what a comfortable place to sit down. Not only the tables but also the super beautiful white sofas with a nice big TV playing BGM cafe chill-out music, laid back and does not detract from the classic atmosphere.
