I wanna say that every salad place is the same but we all know that is not true. Every place offers different toppings. I don't like that this place did not offer mixed greens so I got Arugula. I do like that they offer cranberries. I wish they offer apples as an option. I'm sure other places do but this place did not. Their ranch dressing was better than Sweet Greens and so was their Miso Ginger Dressing. It's a salad place. The warm chicken and goat cheese bowl used to be one of my favorites. However, the last 3 times I ordered it, the braised chicken thigh was replaced by dry, stale white meat, which I dislike. A worker was nice enough to give me a sample of beyond chicken, and it was nasty. They should not advertise chicken thigh if they are using white meat. Awful service and mediocre food. I want to start by highlighting that there are at least 6 salad places near the location and of all of them I decided to give them a try! I came here with my friend to catch up and grab a quick lunch before we had to head back to work. The store is standard size but does get crowded during lunch time as expected. They have a lot of people behind the counter helping but it gets a little confusing and hectic because they're constantly yelling to each other. They didn't give me much time to decide what I wanted so I decided on a premade salad, the chipotle cowboy. It was pretty good nothing special. I actually ordered online the next time and made my own salad which was better and easier then dealing with the yelling and movement of the employees. It's odd because you have to follow the employee which makes you go back and forth between other people on the line. I think if I go back it will be to make my own salad and ordering online so I skip the yelling back and forth with employees. I highly recommend their seasonal short rib bowl though, it's about $13 but you get 2 pieces of short rib and it's delicious. I heard someone say it was the best thing there at the grand opening but opted not to get it, and boy was I missing out. However, I didn't like the ranch drizzle, I asked for it to be on the side in my online order instructions but they still put it on top. This ruined it just a bit for me, the dish doesn't need that ranch, it makes it extra greasy and heavy, had to scrape it off. As soon as I came in, she greeted me by name and put on new gloves. She remembered me from the many times that I've come to this location. I was still surprised that she remembered my name. That felt really good. She made my salad with a smile and with exactly what I asked for. She was very specific and showed that she cared about the salad she was making for me. Though I love Just Salad, I have bought 2 bowls on separate occasions, this location needs improvement. Main reason for 3 stars. 1) the noise level (spread the customers out a bit more). Too cramped and only way to communicate was practically yelling at server; 2) no utensils nor napkins were given; and 3) they did not put the lid on the bowl for you but rather served the bowl to you (balancing it on a plate) and left it to you to place lid.
