Overall meh. You're paying for decent, overpriced food and drinks in a trendy-looking bar/restaurant in a convenient location near the border of Queens and Nassau County. I tried the "traditional" margarita the staff were raving about ("killer"). It was okay. I paid $12.00, I suggest you go during happy hour for half price. The spicy "Baja Fish Tacos" at $12.95 were a reasonably-priced letdown, the taste of cole slaw was overwhelming while there wasn't much kick or fried fish inside the tacos. The nachos appeared amazing but at $18.95 also tasted mediocre, perhaps even a tad salty, like our moods after receiving the bill. It should be noted that the restrooms here are not separated by gender, it felt like entering the fitting room at a department store, with single stall toilets depicting green (vacant) or red (in use). I suggest visiting the restroom with a friend in the event the drinks have been flowing and questionable characters may be hanging around near the restroom lounge couches. Overall, the service was slow and the music was too loud to have a decent conversation. K. Pacho may be a fun Mexican restaurant to visit during happy hour. Grateful that family gave me day off from cooking for Easter. We went out to eat. Special shoutout to my server Aleyda who made our experience top tier!!! We had shrimp tacos, chicken frajitas, the kids chicken tenders and fries. The food was epic! Shoutout to the kitchen for fast delivery too! We ordered endless drink special with flavorful margaritas. That bartender hooked the drinks up! So many different combinations can be made. Woweeeeee ! As someone always trying to find home away from home, coming to K Pacho felt comfortable and I was able to be submerged into my culture. Sadly this isn't the case anymore. With the new management it seems like they are more concerned about appropriating the culture and using it for profit. What here for our girls night out and had the best time. The music is a little bit loud, but it's fun if you're here to drink and mingle. But don't worry if you're here for dinner, they have a quiet section that we sat in. We ordered the guacamole some tacos. Our server accidentally gave us nachos that we did not order so they were comped. The service here was great and very attentive. The guac was very fresh and we loved the nachos, even though we didn't order them. I ordered the crispy shrimp tacos. Beautiful restaurant with overly expensive food and drinks. Came to the restaurant early Sunday evening. The restaurant itself was spacious, dark ambience lighting and extremely beautiful. They had a large open bar seating area along with a choice seating of the dining area or the lounge space. I chose the lounge space as I felt it was more open and more visible to seeing the whole restaurant. I was kindly greeted by the host and seated quickly. The restaurant was playing great music throughout my time here which is always a plus! The menu had lots of drink options, but when it came to the food, it fell short to my expectation. The waiter who was also the bartender did take a while to first come around and ask for our drink and appetizer order. He did not frequently check on us as I would have preferred, but was accommodating when he noticed I wasn't drinking a certain beverage I had ordered, and suggested and changed my drink to my satisfaction. The drinks here are incredibly strong! I had ordered a coconut mojito & a passionfruit margarita. As per the food, starting with appetizers, we had ordered the Mexi-Wings. These were very delicious and not as spicy as suggested on the menu. The entrees is where I believe the restaurant slacked. I ordered the Chicken Fajitas which I felt was bland and not as much of an exciting meal as I would have hoped for. My guest had ordered the Chicken & Rice with black beans entrée and this by far was the most disappointing meal. The rice was very bland and the chicken was extremely dry. As for the dessert, we ordered the fried ice cream. The crusting of the fried was not great but the bowl it sat in was delicious! At the end of the dinner, I believe it is custom that they bring cotton candy to the table free of charge which was a nice suggestion and I truly enjoyed that. The pricing of the restaurant overall was quite pricy and felt I could have found something more affordable for a more enjoyable meal. I came here for a party a few weeks ago and it was a really good time. They opened up before they had their dinner service. The staff was so wonderful and attentive at the party. They had brunch food which was not their normal menu but it was tasty! Between the drinks they were handing out to the amazing deserts they were passing around. It was so great! I highly recommend a party here. It was a great time. Their normal hours they open up at 4pm on the weekend. They have a full bar and unisex bathroom. I had to approach the waiters to take our order even though we had been sitting at our assigned table for more than 15 minutes. In their defense, the food did come out quickly. Recently visited for a Sweet Sixteen and was very impressed. The room was downstairs and had a bar and lounge area prior to entering the event room. Beautiful and spacious space for a party. The food was delicious. There were four stations of different cuisine for all of the guests. I will give credit to the server Kevin for being a delight and the food still being good (although smaller portions). Once we received the bill WHAT HORROR we discovered of having regular priced drinks with NO WARNING! After speaking to the manager all we got were excuses about it "being on instagram" and "on the website" but if you actually check its not there. This place is a gem. Gorgeous hostess area. Sitting area by the DJ. Wood and metal decor but beautiful colours added as well. The bathroom is unisex but it's huge. Great space for selfies and lots of room. It's beautiful. The DJ was bloody amazing. FINALLY music from 2023. Yes I tipped him. I got a sprite at the bar and tipped $3. For now I'm not drinking. Dance floor was empty except for me and a couple people dancing but I didn't care. The music was amazing. Amazing ppl. All friendly and welcoming. I stayed for about an hour. The lovely lady (hostess) at the entrance told me the DJ starts at 6pm and gets crowded around 7-8pm. So by 10pm ppl are leaving. The dinning/dinner area was packed this day so we didn't get to try the food even though we wanted to. We hit the bar and the happy hour drinks wasn't all that but the ambiance was amazing. It felt like a club/lounge. It was really nice. They needed more bartenders because for Cinco de Mayo the place got packed and there was a long line outside. This happened a few days ago, I walked in around dinner time so like 5pm and it was not busy whatsoever. Maybe like 2 people in the dining area and a few by the bar. No host or hostess to greet but the bar tender was there and didn't look up once to the entrance to acknowledge us. Like 2 people had walked by us and they were I guess wait staff and they didn't even acknowledge us either. Th e ones in the dining areas looked like they were just waiting on food at that point. But this was the worse experience and hadn't even gotten waited on or even acknowledge that people were waiting to dine. I can understand a few minutes if they were understaffed, but with the amount of people working and the amount of patrons there definitely is not acceptable. We had just walked out. Came here yesterday for an early dinner at 5:30 on Valentine's Day. Upon entering they sat my family (2 adults and 2 kids) to the left of the restaurant. I noticed there were booths to the right of the restaurant.. I asked the hostess if we could sit on that side and she said no sorry. Okay fine. Secondly, why are they promoting happy hour drinks at this side of the restaurant on ALL the tables if they are not going to honor it???? We ordered 2 drinks and 2 drinks for the kids while we looked over the menu. The waiter comes over with 2 pint sized sodas for my 3 and 6 year old. I ask if they have kids cups... the menu clearly states "kid drinks included with meals. The waiter responds "oh you want kids cups?" - YES! I'm already annoyed at this point. Drinks come,. I ordered a spicy margarita.. the class size is a good size however.... They were very weak drinks. I'm going to assume they only pour 1oz of tequila and then fill the glass with sour mix or margarita mix. We ordered the "ceviche flight" thinking oh a flight would be a taste of each. A taste of shrimp, octopus etc because that's what a flight is. Nope. Everything came mixed together in two avocado shells. The ceviche was good but shouldn't be called a "flight" because it's misleading. I had the birria tacos they were good. The fried calamari is suppose to be served with arrabiata sauce but it wasn't .. plain marinara. And the churros were also good. The bill comes with cotton candy. The end. Definitely hard to hear each other if you are trying to have a nice dinner. We ordered guac and chips to start, which came out warm and fresh because they made their own chips. The size of the chips were almost the size of my hand! We ordered the pan seared salmon, which was cooked perfectly and nicely seared with quinoa. The seafood paella came in a cast iron pot. I have been to this spot twice since my last review. The first time was an impromptu visit because my uber driver was all over the place and abruptly told the driver to just drop me off here. As a result I sat at the bar which was busy for a Saturday mid afternoon day. Both items hit the spot. The service was slow and social distance between bar seats are separated by a plexiglass. I sat at the bar and ordered one of their drink specials of the day, which was the Just Peachy cocktail ($13) and the birria taco ($12.95 for 2). Second time was last night for an outdoor dining dinner date. When we arrived indoors we have to wear our masks and the GM escorted us to the outdoor dining section and en route showed us the private parties that was taking place. Service was slow but definitely an improvement from the first dining experience. We ordered the following: 1) Nachos $16.95 were massive definitely meant for sharing and even can serve as a meal for two, nachos were made in house taste great definitely filling. 2) We shared the chicken enchiladas $22.95 and it was a huge portion made for 2-3 people depending on hunger level, food was great hard to enjoy it since we devoured 95% of the nachos and took the rest home. 3) The cocktails Whiskey Business ($14) and Tito's Lemonade ($12) were definitely for me and perfect for the dishes we ordered. 4) We decided to order dessert and went with the tres leches ($10) and hot cafe con leche ($3.50), which was the perfect combination since the dessert was really sweet. This restuarant is ideal for group dinners, and parties. The happy hour here is always good, drinks are cheap, only till 6pm. I remember the food here being very good a long long time ago, but something changed and so did the food. The queso now tastes rubbery and the guacamole has no flavor. The only really good thing I like here is the chips they give with the dips. Everything else seems to be quite bland. This night I ordered the steak & shrimp fajitas and a Kpacho mangonada, the fajitas were absolutely bomb the meat came in a pool of melted cheese and onions with tortillas, lettuce, sour cream and tomatoes on the side, each bite I raved on how tasty everything was. The mangonada was great ask for an extra shot to make it a perfect experience the tamarind candy straw was a huge bonus. Went as a group of 9 for a birthday dinner on Friday night and it was packed. We were seated at a table by the bar and it was extremely loud and hard to interact with everyone without yelling. I called in advance to secure a reservation but didn't realize that they seated larger parties so close to the bar, so if you're going to make a reservation for a big group, I'd recommend asking to sit in the dining area. Groups of 11 or more require a mandatory pre-fixe menu and the price you're told over the phone is different than that online. When my group started as 11, we were told it was $72 per person before the tip and there was an additional 23% fee per person, so pre-tip it would've come to around $88 per person. We had two people drop out and opted to go for the regular menu. The spicy margarita shrimp was so good. I got the Netflix n' Chill and it was delicious. The downside is that there isn't consistency with size of the drink. There are varying sizes of the Moscow mule cup but the drink was still worth it. The Tres Leches is large enough for 2 people. Before Covid, I used to come here all the time for the drinks and they continue to thrive in that department. read more
