    Coconut Tres Leche with Churro
    Frank M.

My wife and I came here for a NHP Chamber of Commerce Christmas Party. Upon entering it looked like we were going into a church with church candles set up on the right as you enter and a holy water basin. A little strange, not sure what the significance of that is, but I'm easy going and it looked cool. We were setup downstairs; it looked like was recently renovated. There were about 60 of us in attendance. It was a Tuesday Evening. They were offering $6 margaritas so of course we had a couple. Not sure if that was a standard during the week or for our party. There was music playing, sounded like it was coming from upstairs some dance and Christmas music. For cocktail hour the waiters passed out many different hors d'oeuvres spring rolls, chicken and waffles, chicken on a stick, tacos and many others. They just kept coming out, every time I turned there were someone offering us more. For dinner we all had salad and bread, for main course we had a choice of Salmon, K. Pacho Chicken or Eggplant. My wife and I both had the chicken, came with potatoes, vegetables with gravy and mushrooms. It was a good portion, took some home. Then for dessert we had the Coconut Tres Leche with a Churro. It was awesome!! It was a great dining experience, kudos to K Pacho and staff. They were wonderful. Hope to return and would like to go dancing if music is playing.

The food is meh. Ambiance is very loud and clubby on a Friday or weekend. The only thing we enjoyed was the giant mountain of nachos. It was so addicting I couldn't stop eating it. Maybe a fun place for drinks and happy hour, but wouldn't come back for dinner.

After work happy hour I haven't been here in awhile went with my coworkers. It wasn't crowded sat by the bar ordered a couple of margarita's. Happy hour is tuesday to friday from 3pm-6pm. Sangria, beer and classic margarita's are $6.00 extra $1.00 flavors like mango, prickly pear, strawberry etc. When it started to get crowded we moved to a table and ordered food. Chips and guacamole, calamari, shrimp tacos. Good music nice vibe. Will definitely come back.

I had an appointment in the area that got pushed back to the afternoon so I figured I would check this place out for dinner. We had a reservation and were seated right away on the quieter side as the bar area was poppin for happy hour. Started with a strawberry marg since it was valentines weekend and I wanted to be festive-it was ok. We put the nacho order in right away while we browsed the menu. They came out super fast. They were a huge portion and they were fantastic! I couldn't stop eating them. They were not chincy on the toppings at all. We also split the mexi wings, birria quesadilla and plantains. All of the food was very flavorful and decent portion sizes to split. The menu was pretty generic for a Mexican place-nothing that really stands out but decent if you're a local. Service was a little slow though. They give you the check with a large amount of cotton candy which was a unique touch. The bathrooms were pretty gross though.

Second time coming and brought the whole family this time. It was nice and everyone enjoyed themselves. This time I made sure I didn't have the rude waiter and this time around, our waiter was great. Service was good, food was good and drinks were great and strong. The ambiance was nice like last time but the bar was a lot more quiet. Overall, we had a great time and I'm thinking about having a birthday dinner here soon.

So delicious!! They have a party side and a quieter side, we picked quieter since we came for dinner. We got guac, nachos and tacos. Everything was delicious. I would skip on the guac next time but the nachos were a must order!! Service was extremely friendly and quick!!! We were taken care of so well! Would come back the food was delish!!!

Had dinner with friends recently on a Friday. The DJ played some great musics, but it was way too loud and difficult to have a conversation during dinner. The cotton candy was a nice touch. Our waiter was terrific and attentive. The food was not bad, but not great, although I really did enjoy my mango salad. The cocktails were strong and I definitely had a lot of fun. Is probably just come back for a drink and to dance, but not sure about having a full meal.

Service was meh possibly because waitstaff was new or overwhelmed because of the school district end of year groups in attendance. Food was filling had to get a to go carton. The music was lively but space is limited to really get down or even get to bartenders to get refills during happy hour. Liked the cotton candy that came with the bill (take the bitter with the sweet I guess )

If you're into loud music, Mexican food and drinks coming out quickly, this your spot. The first thing you notice when you walk into the doors is the music. It's loud by the bar area. Thankfully we were seated in the dining area where it wasn't as powerful (but still pretty loud). We were seated for awhile before our server came to us. Note - if you're going to order the Paella, be sure you have time. Our server did let us know and it was true. After our order was taken, a minute later our drinks came. Food wise, nachos were okay. It's nice when the tortillas used are thick enough to hold the weight of the toppings and melted cheese. The paella was decent. Taste wise, not bad, but there were some of the clams and mussels were broken were broken or missing its meat. When we were done and asked for our check, a nice surprise was the cotton candy.

Our server kept checking on us and making sure we had everything we needed. The calamari and shrimp ceviche were both delicious - the calamari was well battered and the ceviche was fresh. My entree, chicken baraki, was a large portion (had to take it home) and it was delicious. The drinks looked amazing but we didn't try any this time - definitely on our next visit! The spot is somewhat busy but not super noisy, which I liked. Parking is street parking and it does get busy in this area. Overall, a great spot with cool drinks and good food!

We got the bottomless mimosas. They gave us two glasses and a picture of mimosas. Everything was really good. As an appetizer we ordered the focaccia grilled cheese bites. The vodka sauce dip was so amazing. Honestly, that was hands-down, the best thing. For our main, I ordered the Mediterranean Benedict. They made the Benedict. Perfect, I love the prosciutto with it. It does come on top of a focaccia bread. The only thing I wasn't crazy about was the sweet potato fry squares. I'm not crazy about sweet potatoes and I didn't read the menu to see to get something else. Also, the Greek churro was so good with the feta whip. This is definitely a really cute place. Everyone who works there is so kind and polite. It is definitely worth a stop in for brunch.

Marco Polo Restaurant is located just beyond the lobby and bar of the Great Neck Inn hotel. Newly added, a sushi bar with Chef Benny at the helm. Yelper Mike S. and I ordered from both menus. We started with the sesame tuna tataki which was a nice full salad paired with sesame seared tuna, avocado, mandarins and crispy noodles. A sweet dressing provided on the side. It was a very full salad and quite refreshing. This was on the MP menu. And we also had the garlic edamame to start, which looked to be tossed in some chili oil and stir fried garlic which was from the Benny's Sushi menu. For our dinner, we shared the sashimi entree which came with 15 pieces of sashimi. Then we selected some choice pieces: uni, unagi, scallop sashimi and a classic yellowtail roll. Everything was fresh and enjoyable. Chef Benny cut and plated our order, very presentable. Sadly no sake on the menu so a draft beer and some Blue Moon was our drink choice. There's a wine list, lots of cocktails and a full dinner menu for the Marco Polo Restaurant which offers "East meets West" style fare. Think steak, ramen, salads and pasta choices. Service was good and our waiter was super friendly. He answered questions and offered suggestions on drinks I inquired about. When prompted for a plate change, he did it without hesitation and swapped them out real quick. He checked in on us a few times during our meal and was sure to pace the plates that came out so we were able to enjoy each portion of the dinner. Dessert options were interesting, think s'mores egg rolls, fresh fruit, cheesecake, and cinnamon buns. Cheesecake was plated simply with a drizzle of strawberry syrup and topped with a cherry.

Manager Beatrice is truly a gem -- very attentive, super sweet, and made my family feel so welcome. The atmosphere was warm, family-oriented, and comfortable. The prix fixe menu was excellent from beginning to end. For appetizers, my mom had the burrata with heirloom tomatoes, and my sister and I had Nonna's meatballs, which were delicious. My sister had the rigatoni, my mom had the salmon, and I had the short rib of beef, which melted in my mouth like butter -- that's how tender the meat was. For dessert, I had the cannoli's while my mom and sister enjoyed the chocolate lava cake. Everything was flavorful and beautifully prepared. The bathrooms were also nice and clean, which is always a plus. My family and I will definitely be coming back again -- even if it's just to stop in for a lychee martini and the grilled octopus, one of my favorite meals. Our server was very pleasant and happened to be the only one working at the time, though with so few guests, it seemed to be all that was needed. We ordered the three-course lunch special. One set included the meatballs to start, followed by the chicken Parmesan and bomboloni for dessert. The other included a Caesar salad, tagliatelle Bolognese, and tiramisu. There was a bit of a longer-than-expected gap between the appetizer and the entrée, especially considering we were essentially the only table being served, as the other guests had already finished their meal. That was a little frustrating. Aside from that, most of the food was solid. The only real disappointment was the chicken Parmesan, which was quite overcooked. It was unfortunate given that the kitchen was only cooking for the two of us. That said, the mashed potatoes, an unusual pairing with chicken Parmesan were excellent: perfectly creamy and incredibly smooth. The tiramisu was also quite good, but the real standout was the bomboloni. I was genuinely surprised by how much I enjoyed them, since fried doughnuts wouldn't normally be my first choice for dessert. I would definitely return.
