I am giving this 4 stars just for the fact that it's an active buffet and a decent one at that. You gotta wear a mask and use a glove to handle the buffet spoons, but whatever it's a real live buffet. A BUFFET. Chicken tikka masala, samosa, fried fish, lamb bone, rice...uh I'm bad with names of dishes, but it's a quite decent spread. You do get plenty of warm lovely naan as well. The service is sometimes a bit slow here if you don't opt for the buffet. The food is consistently good as is the variety. I especially like their fish pakora, biryani, chicken kofta, Chana, noodles, and naan. Their buffets are usually well stocked and have a good variety. I'm really liking this place. Hopefully poojas opens back up for buffet soon. So came her for dinner and lunch a few times and each time it's good. . They offer you garlic or plain nan. The garlic nan is amazing. So fluffy and garlicky flavorful. . The buffet requires you to have a mask on and use their plastic gloves they provide to get your food. . They have lamb bone in and is amazing. The lamb is tender and the sauce if flavorful and not salty. . The beef bone which comes with lots of beef tendon in there. Its so good if you love chewy texture. . Tikka masala chicken - that sauce is money it goes with everything. I used this sauce for my rice, salad, and garlic nan. . Also love the kheer which is their rice pudding homemade. It is so good with chai tea. . Chai tea - is one dollar extra but worth it. It is served piping hot. The chai tea i get unsweetened because I want to pair it with kheer which is enough sweet already. . Overall each time I come here. It is served good. I had work to do and happened to be on this side of town. Definitely a gem here at Kabab corner. It is clean inside and the buffet had just the right options. Samosas, chicken curry, chick peas, noodles and more. The price is low and the staff was very friendly. My biggest appreciation was that the food was not salty. I am American but my mom is Indian and this felt like home. I seen the other reviews but whoever was cooking today was stellar. Thank you and will come again. read more

One of the few remaining Indian buffets left and I'm really glad I found it. If you like fatty textures you might love this place as much as I do. The cow foot is excellent on top of rice as is the lamb. I'm also a big fan of the fish pakora. I found this place in April and have been back at least 4 other times. Everyone I've brought with me has liked it as well. The woman in charge may have a ruff exterior but she's as nice as can be. I'm already looking forward to my next trip back. read more

After few years of break and horrible experience came back here for the sake of old days and giving chance over again. Long story short, I got food poison, and throw up while deep sleeping. If You faced this issue before once in your life time, you will know what I'm talking about and how extremely bad experience it is. I blame, and criticize our food, healt department for not enforcing food handling certificate for each employee; from the owner, Manger to busboy, and comprehensive inspections. I gave this place two stars because the people working did seem interested in making sure you were happy with their food. But other than that, there was little that would ever bring me back. I have eaten in many other Indian establishments in the area (see my other reviews) and we're pretty fortunate to have some excellent Indian food options. But I found this place unfortunatey unappealing, from menu, to food, from ambience, limited to no drink options, couldn't even get a Coke or Diet Coke. A friend and I (she happens to have recently moved to West Sac) have been wanting to try this place for a while. Checked it out for lunch recently and while the buffet items were tasty enough and there was a fairly good selection, I have to harshly drop two stars because of food temperature. Everything was either room temperature. Could the steam table have been inoperable or turned off? Tough to say. There was party of six dining there and hot items not being hot didn't seem to bother them nor did it concern my friend, but I like my curry piping hot not just spicy hot. For me it was off putting. No chai tea available at lunchtime either-another disappointment. When paying I politely and discreetly mentioned my concern about the buffet's temperature but got just a nod from cashier. What I can give a thumbs up to is the kheer (rice pudding dessert). I went back four times for more! While missing some of the cardamom flavor of others I've had, it was still very delicious and served nice and cold as it should be. We may try it again at dinner but not sure at this point. May stick to the place in Natomas that we love even though their lunch buffet has increased in price significantly. read more

Consistency, quality, and authenticity! When it comes to Pakistani/Indian cuisine, nothing beats Mom's home cooking but Kabob Corner comes in at a very close second! The place is usually filled with the local desi community who don't normally eat out so this says a lot about this place! The beef paya is something rarely served at a buffet as it's considered a bit of a delicacy and it's always part of the menu on the weekends here, such a treat! Today was the first time that I tried this restaurant, and I had the lunch buffet. I was so impressed with the variety of dishes offered. I had chicken tikka masala, chili chicken, fish, spinach, a curry dish, and a garbanzo bean dish. They brought out garlic naan bread that was hot right out of the oven. I apologize that I don't remember the names of some of the dishes, but everything was wonderful, and I cleaned my plate. I even went back for some extra fish. Everything was very fresh and tender. Ya Allah, worst restaurant ever. I have eaten at this restaurant many times for the buffet, but after seeing how my meal was prepared last night, I will never go to this restaurant again. Ordered Beef Naan Kebab wrap, walked in to pick up my to go order, saw the Chef in the back telling the owner {Pakistani dude with huge mustache) Sir the beef seekh is not good, Owner sniffs the cooked beef seekh with his crusty mustache and says it's ok . I was escorted to sit down at the table by the Sardar Paji who is a waiter, because he didn't want me to see the Health Violations that were taking place. How sick can you be to sniff a person's food and tear open with your dirty hands. These are our Muslim brothers. So sad. Ok in a pinch. My go to Indian place was closed today, so we tried this spot. I ordered tikka masala, received about 6-7 square inch chunks of chicken in what was mostly a container of sauce. Seems like the chicken is cubed and cooked without marinade or spices, then separated out to receive their respective sauces for the day. Not tender and was borderline over cooked, albeit edible. Not bad in flavor as far as the sauce but the protein left us ... wanting. Honey very much preferred the rice here to our regular place. Naan was.... Ok. Overall not bad but underwhelming. read more
