Absolutely love the sushi here. Reasonably priced and yummy. Whenever I feel for sushi I come here. Fav rolls. OMG roll and Lion King roll.

This place is trash. We've gone a few times, and we only keep returning because it's the only all you can eat sushi place in the area. We just went again the other night and it reminded us why we stopped going. the food is just awful the fish smells awful you can tell it's not good the service always is terrible you end up waiting so long for your food I mean it's just Sushi it doesn't take that long to make the wait is ridiculous on the food the service is just terrible all the waitresses I don't know if it's the same lady or different ladies but they're always so rude and never nice just don't waste your time or money trying it you'll honestly regret it I regret spending $60 there the other night I wish I could get that back read more

If there is a negative star, I'd give it a negative. Due to the majority of good reviews, we decided to order here for pick-up on a Sunday night. I ordered via Yelp Eat24 App at 6:00PM. I am able to track my order through that so I know that they received it as soon as I sent it. They said that the estimated pick-up time is for 10-35 minutes. After awhile, it said that the confirmed pick-up time is at 6:36PM. My boyfriend came in about 5 minutes earlier. It was already 7:00PM and my boyfriend had asked for our food but the lady wasn't being very helpful so he asked me to call because he did not want to flip out on her. I called to follow-up with the food at 7:05PM, the lady put me on-hold for about 3-5 mins. to check my order. I asked if she can give us a discount and she keeps saying she'll give me something (which I could not understand her) but I had to wait for another 15 mins. for it so I just told her to take money off of our total for the inconvenience but she kept insisting the free stuff that she's going to give us but still have to wait for it. She did not bother to apologize or resolve the issue. Long story short, the food did not come out until 7:15PM. We are only 5 mins away from this place, to make it worst, the food came and there was not a hint of heat on our food. My tonkatsu was cold, the potstickers were not crispy but saggy, and the antioch roll that says (8-10 pcs.) were only 6 pcs. My question is why exactly did it take that long to cook our food that is not even hot/warm? I have never been to a place where it took more than an hour for the food to be ready. I might as well have traveled to SFO to get some good food. I am extremely disappointed and will not come back here. read more

My go to Sushi place in Antioch. Fish is always plentiful and fresh. Most people come here for the all-you-can-eat rolls which are good but the sushi and sashimi is the best in the area. They have a few TVs to watch games and will always put on the Warriors for you. Friendly staff and they always hustle to make you happy. read more

I've lived in Yokohama japan five years which doesn't make me a sushi expert but I have enough culinary experience to be fair when reviewing and rating sushi bars. The all you can eat special (limited menu) is still available and recently increased to $18.95, I have found a few select all you can sushi bars that are good; however, Kabuki is fair, the service isn't the best (young boy and the Asian girls are the worst) I've dined here enough to experience and know (better off sitting at the bar).. This place used to have amazing rolls but the last couple times I've gone there service sucks. Our waitress/hostess had a bad attitude and seemed annoyed. Huge sushi fan, although I usually have bad experiences out this way and tend to travel to SF to get it. On a whim we stopped by and WOW I couldn't be happier. The food at Kabuki was just okay. I only ordered here because it was close by. I had the chicken fried in Panko bread crumbs , Dragon roll and tempura mix. Online menu says you get three California roll with entree. When I got home there was no ca. Rolls . I called and it' not included any longer . I'm wasting my time now writing , but with what I spent money on is not worth it . I was better off just getting some sushi at Safeway and buying some Panko and tempura batter and made it myself with lots more flavors . So much for convenience . If you want knock off food this the place for you. I Need to find authentic Japanese cuisine if I'm going to pay those prices for bland food. read more

I love this place it's close to home and the last on the phone is so nice....it was hard to understand each other and it turned out I was looking an online menu that wasnt correct. So the roll I was asking for wasnt a roll offered. I went to order in person since I'm a few streets away and she was super nice. I decided to relax and have a brew while my sushi was crafted. Kabuki has great sushi for great prices. It is one of my favorite placed to eat, & nothing beats the all you can eat special & they have a large variety of rolls. I am a little skeptical about eating here again however because they failed their health inspection in December of 2016. read more

I'm not one to give bad reviews and most times my bad reviews are even very generous. I can't be generous with my review of this restaurant. This place actually doesn't even deserve 1 star but since I can't post this without having to rate this HORRIBLE restaurant then I'll force myself to give it 1 star. Why is this place horrible? Let's see - 1. We walked into the restaurant and we weren't even greeted. We waited a good 5 minutes before anyone even approached us. The hostess/waitress asked how many was in our party and when I said 5 (3 adults, 1 kid, 1 baby) she decided to bypass us and go to the party behind us (they also had 5 in their group - 2 adults, 2 kids, 1 baby). The lady told the hostess we were ahead of them and we should be seated first. The hostess said our party had too many people for the table. Hmmm, really?! She was confused on where to sit the baby since there were only 4 chairs at the table...oh my, this should have been our clue to turn around and leave. 2. We wanted to try their AYCE sushi so we filled out their erasable menu. We waited and waited and waited. Then we flagged down another waiter to ask for our drinks since we didn't get them after 10 minutes of waiting. After another 30 minutes of waiting patiently we called the waiter over again to get a status check on our sushi order. He left to talk to the sushi chef then walked over to the front of the restaurant and frantically searched through all the erasable menus. When he found what he was searching for he walked it back to the sushi chef. I asked the waiter if he didn't place our order and he said that he did and our order would be out soon. After another 15 minutes and still no sushi, my sister asked the sushi chef if they could just bring us whatever was ready and it didn't all have to come at once. The guy said nothing was ready since our order wasn't placed! At this point, it was time to leave. 3. Food quality - the food that did come out on time was the bento box my niece ordered. I can't comment on the taste since I didn't try it. As for the presentation, it was just like any typical bento box. I can comment on the miso soup and salad (which was given to us after asking for it since we were waiting so long for our order). The miso soup was a definite miss, it was warm not hot and it lacked a good miso soup flavor. The salad was okay, which you really can't mess up since it's just a package of romaine lettuce, carrot strips and 1 tomato with thousand island dressing on it. 4. Ambience - I've never been to a restaurant where ALL the customers look so unhappy and depressed. There must've been 3 other tables who were waiting for their orders. One table sat and waited for a good 10 minutes just to get a box for their leftovers. Again, this place is HORRIBLE! I love sushi and I don't mind waiting to get great (and even good) sushi. This restaurant's service is so bad that I'm not willing to sit around to find out if they're sushi is any good. read more

This is the first time that i have ever written a review, Because I just had to say this. Me and my friend ate here last night, as soon as i got back home i had diarrhea, I thought it was just me. I woke up this morning with a text from my friend asking me if i got diarrhea coz he was having one as well. AND IT SEEMS LIKE WE ARENT THE ONLY COSTUMER THAT YOU FOOD POISONED. OK. This place is awful! this was my last ever visit and I'm not going back. First of all, My fiance's chopsticks were sticky. GROSS. Next, there was a young man working that was chewing gum the entire time we were there. Then our food comes out and it's missing the tobiko(my personal favorite part) and when we alerted them to this fact they put the tiniest little sprinkle on and my date night was ruined. I came here for the first time with my friend on a friday night because they stay open till midnights on fridays. it was pretty cool because they play music, great place for groups. the service was excellent. and our rolls were made very fast. they were priced very well and we got more than what we paid for. My husband and I walk in and look right at each other eyebrows raised, they're playing hip-hop music on the speakers, hilarious, but cool. I order 'to go' and while I'm ordering the gal yells over to the sushi maker, who's a young hip guy. I think, hmmm....is the food going to be good, he looks too young to know how to make good sushi??? I get the total and the price is outrageous. You're paying damn near Benihana prices...but OMG do you really get what you pay for. Their food is sooo good. Compliments to the chef. I was impressed. I got the chicken katsu dinner for $12 and it's white meat!! (not dark meat disguised under batter) Philadelphia Roll is fabulous and they're generous with the size and you get 10 rolls for $11.
