Visited on a Sunday around 5 PM with family and was seated right away. The hostess, who also served as our waitress, was very friendly and welcoming. We already knew what we wanted for our entrées but decided to start with a few appetizers. Based on her recommendation, we tried the Mantoo (steamed chicken dumplings) and Kashk Badenjan (eggplant dish). Both were flavorful and enjoyed by everyone at the table. For our main course, we ordered the Mixed Grill Combination, which included lamb tikka, lamb kebab, jujeh, and chicken tikka. The portion was generous--perfect for sharing and even better for leftovers. It happened to be my aunts birthday and we were offered a traditional Afghan dessert, Firnee. It was a pudding topped with pistachios. It was creamy and sweet. Such a thoughtful gesture. By the way they also offer BYOB, which is a nice bonus. Overall, great food, friendly service, and an enjoyable dining experience.

What an amazing place! The food is awesome, but the warmth and welcome feeling from Rafi (Afghan George Clooney) truly make the place. We had a wonderful meal sampling his recommendations and can heartily recommend to anyone to give it a try.... you won't be disappointed!

All the food was delicious, meat was perfectly seasoned, tender, and super flavorful. Portion size was also very decent. Service was wonderful. The man in charge is a delight to talk to and receive service from. The ambiance is cute, cozy, while also feeling slightly fancy. Will be coming back.

Such hospitality & delicious food....love this place!!!! Try the Sultani Kabob (my go to) & the Qabeli Palau w/Lamb Shank (wife's) as well as their fresh made Naan to guzzle their white & green sauces down....

A delicious meal with top-notch hospitality! We went as a large group on a recommendation from a friend's parents. No one in the group was an expert of Afghani food, so we got an appetizer sampler to start off. They gave us free naan to dip with. I loved the borani banjan, with the flavorful and creamy eggplant. The salad was served before the entree. And at this point, I did already feel pretty full. But I rallied for the sabzi palak. The bits of beef inside the stew were perfectly tender, which was great because I couldn't chew very well that day. We had to rush for a post-dinner reservation, but I wish we could have stayed and enjoyed the complementary dessert at a more leisurely pace. Kabul Grill was a wonderful introduction to Afghan food, and I hope to visit again soon!

Some of the best Afghan food I've had! Will definitely be returning! I tried the Awshak, Sultani kebab, and Firnee for dessert. All were spectacular. Awshak: the leeks were well seasoned inside the dumplings and they did not stick together at all. The ground beef and lentils over the top added nice textures and flavors and were not overly greasy. The yogurt was tangy and cooling which cut the meat well. The cilantro and herbs also added nice freshness. Sultani: both the kobideh (ground kebab) and the barg (thin sliced beef) were tender, well seasoned, and smoked well. The onions with sumac and the basmati rice with zereshk berries added a nice sweet and tart contrast. They paired very nicely. Firnee: I usually hesitate with firnee because the texture is hard to make grit free and smooth. This one was silky smooth and the crushed pistachio and cardamom flavors paired well. It was a tad too sweet but was so well made in terms of texture, ai would gladly order again. Whole meal was exceptional! Highly recommend!

Surprisingly small but spacious spot with fresh food! Very specific menu and great place to open your fast/have iftaar. Hummus was amazing! A little too much rice to meat but the meat is flavorful. Good spot! Service is top notch - family owned, does great with regulars and big groups.

No matter how far I move away from NY, Kabul Grill will always be a staple in my life. The absolute best in terms of food and service. Thank you for never disappointing me or my family in the past 25+ years.

When we sat down, we were served pita and tzatziki sauce. It was good! We ordered off of the lunch special. I had the Kubideh Kabab and my friend had the boneless chicken Kabab. The kababs were not dried out and they were very tasty, well seasoned, and not salty! With the lunch special, you get a choice of lentil soup or salad. I went with the soup and I'm glad I did! It really hit the spot since I haven't been feeling very good lately. We shared an appetizer of falafels. To be honest, it was a bit too dry for me. The service was great and our waitress was very nice. She gave us plenty of time to look at the menu and order. The restaurant is quiet overall but there isn't a lot of seating available. There's a shared parking lot but it's crowded. The food was amazing but I don't like looking for parking when I'm hungry. Just kidding. I'll stop by again!

We started with appetizers like vegi samosas, spring rolls, pakora, and aloo tikki. Everything came out fresh, crispy, and full of flavor, making it a great way to kick off the meal. For the mains, we tried a mix of dishes including lahori channa, beef haleem, beef nihari, butter chicken, chicken pulao, and vegetable noodles. Each dish had its own depth of flavor, from the rich and comforting slow cooked curries to the perfectly spiced rice and noodles. The nihari and haleem especially stood out for how hearty and traditional they tasted. These types of dishes are known for their deep, slow cooked flavors and are staples in Pakistani cuisine. We also had items from the mixed grill along with fresh naan and white rice which tied everything together perfectly. The portions were generous and great for sharing. To end the meal, we tried desserts and drinks like mango delight, fruit custard, and rooh afza which were refreshing and a perfect sweet finish. Service was friendly and the space is great for groups or family style dining. Overall, this is a solid spot if you're looking for authentic Pakistani food with a wide variety of options and comforting, flavorful dishes.

It is a large establishment next to the very busy Ikea next door but I surmise people rather eat Swedish meatballs for half the price of Wild Fig. I ordered the Mixed Salad Bowl with chicken and my first impression was that it is quite similar to Cava. However, they emphasize that the main inspiration here is Turkish food which explains why the offer Pides. While Cava most definitely wins in the flavor category, Wild Fig's ingredients are less salty and oily. I would even believe that it might be healthier in that regard? The portions are above average and priced competitively. I was immediately prompted a tip screen on top of a $1 service charge fee. I did not ask what the service charge fee was for but at $12.99 a bowl these days, that is a good deal. I would need to come back a few more times to see if the complaints on other reviews are justified, but my experience today was good.

The staff was friendly but could speak more clearly when asking questions and the could be more informative. They should not assume that everyone is familiar with their food choices. The ambiance was bright and the decorum displayed a perfect prism color spectrum, very soft and balanced. It I had sat at another to table I may have agreed that the facility was emaculate but since I had to wipe out table/ booth, I'm going to say, it can use a bit of tidying I had the chicken and steak salad and for extra because you get four choices, I choose chick peas. I also received the crushed chicken pea instead of white rice and I chose the chick pea based dressing. The food was pretty good and tasty. I didn't care too much for a good and hold plate in one setting. The temperature in the salad could have been closer to the temperature of the rest of the food. The steak was a bit chewy for my and the chicken appeared to have a hint of spice. I'm not complaining just stating my preference, my plus one had no mentions about the food but ete really didn't like the idea of them given her a dirty tray.
