Dinner tasted great. Trio sashimi, chicken teriyaki, truffle tuna tartare, ceviche, spicy tuna roll - no complaints. The Thai donut presentation is like none I've ever seen beautiful. It was a donut tree, literally little branches with donuts on the end and you would pick you're doing it off the branch and dip it in condensed milk. Loved it! It was a Friday night and we were a table of six. Felt extremely rushed when it was time to go because they wanted to close the restaurant. It's ridiculous. There is only one bathroom and an employee decided to spend a good 20 minutes cleaning it while there are still two tables of patrons at the restaurant As good as the food is I do. It appreciate feeling rushed at dinner time much less at 10:30 on a Friday night. Truly disappointing. read more

Amazing food with amazing service plus a great ambiance. this place is my favorite sushi spot in the whole Miami area. Located in coral gables on giralda ave. ( street parking available). The whole menu is so creative and so delicious. Chef landa and his wife really know how to run a good restaurant. Landa takes care of the food and his wife takes care of the service and together they keep me coming back for more. His wife and him are very talkative and humble, they thank the customer and really know how to cater to customer needs and wants. Hopefully they open another spot soon, would love to see this restaurant expand its name and continue its success. Highlights: the spicy tuna crispy rice is delicious, it has amazing taste, crunchy texture and fresh tuna. The lobster deluxe roll is one of my favorite sushi rolls in the world, it has this buttery feel to it when you first take a bite, good amount of lobster and perfectly paired with a cold beer. To finish I had the Thai donuts, perfectly cooked and that condensed milk to dip really hits the spot. If you haven't been here please go! I recommend it! read more

The new tuna tacos were an absolute hit. But the star of the night was the prosciutto roll. Absolutely incredible. Nice ambiance with indoor and outdoor seating. The menu has a great variety with more traditional "basic" sushi rolls along with more signature "unique" sushi rolls. We started with a miso soup, which was classic and simple. We then shared three sushi rolls - the dragon, the California, and the caviar toro. All of the rolls were delicious! The dragon comes out a bit warm from the tempura shrimp. The California is made with real crab meat and not imitation which is hard to come by. The caviar toro was phenomenal! The toro melts in your mouth and all the flavors really meld together nicely. The staff were polite and kind and shared their honest opinion about the various menu options. This was an accidental discovery. I was headed to another restaurant with my mom and found this Venezuelan/sushi place; what a gem! We started with the tempura honey shrimp appetizer That had slices of almonds on the top. It was crunchy with just the right amount of sweetness. Then we had the "miami roll" which included plantains, avocado, raw tuna, and incredibly delicious sauces. For dessert the Thai donuts were not only delicious they were a work of art. Was a bit horrified. My husband and I have ordered from Kae Sushi in the past and not usually had issues, but last night, when we ordered the Prosciutto Roll, when my husband bit into it, he said to me; "am I crazy or is there plastic in here?" I examined what he was pulling out, each time he bit into the prosciutto / roll and indeed there was plastic in each roll . It appeared that the chef failed to remove the plastic wrapping from the prosciutto , before putting it in the roll. Not sure how a legitimate cook could have missed this. Either way, we were horrified at the negligence and lack of care. My husband has an airway/throat sensitivity already, so this was a huge liability on behalf of the restaurant, both to my husband And any other consumer who is eating this roll that they are not taking the simple care to ensure there is no plastic in. I hope this is not happening all the time, but even one time could be the last for the restaurant, if my husband had choked on this. Please take care of your food and the people you serve, Kae. By checking in with yelp, we got a free cruch salad - Which was actually one of my favorite things, super tasty and different! Our server was extremely nice and the food was AMAZING! You can tell the fish was fresh and the tuna tiradito with quinoa on top was DELICIOUS! We also ordered the steamed gyoza and sushi tower and it was extremely tasty and fresh. This feels like an authentic Japanese restaurant and when I eat sushi it's extremely important for me that it doesn't taste "fishy" or "chewy." Last night we tried a couple of dishes for the first time (toro & caviar roll and the tuna miso tiradito). They were both delicious. It has a Smokey flavor, reminding me a little of prosciutto. The location is easy to get to, with plenty of parking. I like this restaurant a lot because they have some unique roll options. I ordered the Passion Fruit roll which I def give 5 stars. I like that it was topped with quinoa instead of tempura flakes- healthier! You get the same crunch that you would with tempura. I went on a Saturday afternoon and there was no wait. With that being said, I would bring a jacket because it was pretty cold inside. They have gluten free soy sauce which I also appreciate. Great service. Will come back! read more
