I came here during the pandemic and sat outside. I love it outside! The weather was nice, each table is provided a hand sanitizer, & tables are 6 ft apart. I felt safe coming here. The waitress my friend and I got was very nice and give us our space. We ordered from the lunch special. We had as appetizer the Kanikama Crunch Salad which was yummy and as entree we had the tuna poke bowl with the Seaweed Salad. To drink we had beer. Everything was overall good. Having recently moved to the area, I was looking for a new sushi spot, especially to add to my covid takeout rotation. I ordered on Yelp for pickup and the order was ready promptly. We ordered the pork gyoza which I thought for what it was, was a little on the expensive side, the lobster deluxe roll, volcano roll and giralda roll. I'm someone who likes my sushi not California roll bland (sorry California roll lovers), but not dowsed in sauces and other extras that take away from the freshness and taste of the fish, so Kae's rolls offer the perfect in between! My favorite was the Giralda roll. It was soooo fresh and packed with flavor. Tasted very clean too. The others were also very good but the Giralda was hands down my fave. At just over $10 for most of the rolls, they're great value, but beware that a lot of rolls in the $10 price point only contain 5 pieces. The rolls in most places are usually bigger, but the price point also lets you order different rolls instead and try more of them out :). This was the perfect weeknight no cooking treat and I'll definitely be back for more Giralda rolls! read more

We were invited here to celebrate a friends success and it was really good! I am not a fan of sushi but my husband and kids are and they really enjoyed the rolls. I had the veggie roll which was surprisingly very good and healthy! I also had the veggie egg rolls and they were delicious. The complimentary crunchy salad was very savory and yummy. Ikura is a cute little spot located in the center of miracle mile, right by Threefold Café. We stopped by on a whim for a lazy Saturday lunch, and were pleasantly surprised by the great service and delicious food. Our waitress Andrea walked us through the menu and patiently answered all our questions. Their most popular rolls are the honeymoon, Giralda, and volcano. We got a Giralda roll and bento box with the honeymoon roll. Both were delicious - the Giralda roll was stuffed with raw salmon and tuna, and the soy paper and crispy flakes gave it a nice texture. The honeymoon roll was slightly sweet, and paired well with the Shrimp tempura and cream cheese + avocado. The bento box came with lots of edamame (lightly salted, hooray!), an egg roll, and kanikama salad, which is a mix of imitation crab and crunchy flakes with roe and scallions sprinkled on top. Check-in on yelp for a free kanikama! We had Thai donuts for dessert. Crispy on the outside and still warm when brought to our table! A bit too soft/doughy on the inside for my taste though. Seating wise, there's a little alcove at the front of the restaurant that is so cozy and cute (instagram worthy). The plating for all the dishes were pretty too. Another successful dining outing in this little gem. I have to say that I'm truly impressed with the flavors. I ordered a sushi roll that had truffle oil and it was exquisite. We stumbled upon this place after attending a show in the area so we were surprised at the tastiness and freshness of the food. We were really just expecting to grab some quick decent sushi and hit the road but the food was delicious! We got a couple apps (a free app when we checked in) and the yellowtail app which was fresh, perfectly flavored with jalapeño and came after a short wait. I got the poke bowl with tuna and it was HUGE ! You could add your own toppings which were also yummy and fresh. My son got sushi and the chicken skewers (terriyaki) which were freshly cooked and delicious. There's a "smoked" salmon sushi dish that was the perfect mix of tangy and sweet and melted in your mouth. It's quite the spectacle but not all show...it was delicious! But save room for dessert bc that's when they go all out. We had the Nutella sushi (which I could only eat one of...if you like rich desserts then go for that). But my favorite were the Thai donuts (cutely displayed like a tree with the most delicious dipping sauce) and the coquito cake dessert. I love in Broward but will be going there again just to have two of those!!! To die for. Great service and clean Facilites. It's a small place but the best places often are. Check it out! I came across this restaurant during Giralda under the Stars on Coral Gables. We came to enjoy some live music and the good weather when we saw this restaurant. The staff were friendly and welcomed us to stay longer even though they were closing. The Kae sushi roll was my favorite. Finally got to try the new sushi place down Giralda Plaza in Coral Gables. I was not disappointed! The sushi was delicious and the flavors different from the same old boring California rolls. The Lobster Deluxe has a big chunk of tempura lobster with Avocado, honey and this amazing lemony yuzu sauce that was heaven. It was delicious & I've gotta say, I've never been to a sushi place and ate sushi without ordering an extra sauce (Eel or soy!) I can honestly say that This chef knows what he's doing because I Didn't need the extra eel sauce that I had ordered on the side. Oh, and how can I forget - you should go now, they have a free Kanikama Salad with a Yelp check in ( originally prices at $14) it was Delicious as well! We can't end this review without having talked about the desserts! The creativity and innovation of this chef has no bounds. We ordered simple Thai Donuts, and was shocked and amazed at what came out! It was like art work on our table .... the donuts were placed on a bonsai tree branch dusted with cinnamon and powdered sugar with Condensed Milk in the side! When you check in with yelp you get a free kanikama crunch salad and it was pretty tasty, it was a nice starter and more than enough for my boyfriend and I. We tried: The spicy tuna roll, The dragon roll and The jalapeño yaita roll. All of them were pretty good and filling but the only downfall was that the jalapeño yaita roll was pretty pricey for only 5pcs. Averaging the same price of the dragon roll which has more pieces. But it tasted amazing nonetheless and it was very different from your typical sushi rolls. All the other 5pc rolls on the menu are also very unique. I got my son the shrimp and fries and he liked it. The breaded shrimp also has cheese in it and it's served with ketchup on the side. For dessert we got the Nutella roll which in my opinion wasn't worth it. It was expensive yet not big enough in size/quantity. They look like sushi pieces but they were cold and hard. (Chocolate cake with cookie in the middle topped with almonds and fudge?) our fudge was cold as well.. We'll probably try the lava cake or the coquito float next time.. Loved this sushi spot!! Went in to eat on a Tuesday evening and we were the only customers there however that did not take away from the quality of the food! The prices are a little higher than most sushi places I've tried and only give 5 rolls on the specialty sushi but they are well worth every penny! Disclaimer: we tried using the Kanikama crunch salad check in deal with the $20 for $30 coupon but weren't allowed to use both and were not informed until we had to pay so we ended up having to pay for the crunch salad.
