Very good location & spacious. My husband & I stumbled upon this cafe after a day at the beach. I was very happy to sit inside this cafe. Their black coffee is very good - nutty & fruity. They also have a wide coffee drinks selection, as well as food.

Had a late Sunday breakfast. Ordered the burrito with salad, Bubble Waffle and a side of bacon. Good portion to share. We enjoyed all. They were friendly and helpful. They were closing in 30 minutes and was nice about letting us know since we were going to sit down to eat. Ambiance was quiet. The place was clean and have cute merchandise for purchase as well as coffee bags to take home. Other customers came to purchase cold drinks. Would recommend if in the area.

I spent $30 on breakfast and coffee here and when a bite of bagel went down slow as I tried to swallow, I asked for a cup of water. The cashier says, "I can't give you water. we have bottled water for purchase." When i looked visibly shocked she told me she could sell me a cup of tap water for 79 cents. "For the cost of the cup" .... she said. This level of greed, this lack of community care, is uncommon on the island. Spend your money elsewhere. Gross.

While waiting for my friend tog eat her nails done next door stopped by for Kalia's blueberry lilikoi (passion fruit) lemonade and it is so fresh and delicious. They have testers to taste their "butters" for lilokoi, ube, etc and I almost impulse bought them all. Truth be told there's a good chance I'll come back because everything tastes so good

Wanted to let you guys know that if you order online a vegetable bagel don't expect cucumbers as advertised. Not sure what the menu looks inside because I thought it was the same menu. But when I picked up my order and went to work, I was disappointed that they, what I thought, forgot the cucumbers. Of course I checked the online menu, making sure I wasn't making things up, it says cucumbers as one of the ingredients. With that I called to let them know they forgot to put it on. The girl said they don't put cucumbers on their veggie bagels... I mentioned the website specifically and she did apologize and said she would let the manager/owner know about the site. So I paid $16 with tip for a bagel. Does come with a lot of chips ... so if you like more veggies bring your own‍ Oh haven't taken a bite yet, I'm sure it taste wonderful. Ok took a bite, yup taste like a bagel, don't know if they toasted it. Wasn't an option online. Would be better if the bagel was crispier. Enjoy!

We were looking for a quick breakfast and found this cafe close to us in Kihei. The person taking our order was friendly, patient, and helpful. You order at the counter then pick it up at the when it's ready. This location is a cute spot and not very big. Yet, they have indoor and outdoor seating. The food was good. We ordered the Bubble waffles which resembled a mochi waffle. We also ordered the a bagel. The bagel would have been better with smoked salmon. We also tried the beef empanada. The crust was flakey and the meet filling was tasty, not spicy.

We visited Kali Café in Kihei. The location is nice, the staff is really friendly, and they open early, which is convenient. The coffee was just okay. We tried the bubble waffles, but they were just okay too, probably not something we'd order again. I also tried the Acai and coconut parfait, which was good. We ordered the bacon egg cheddar sandwich and the bacon egg cheddar bagel sandwich, both were good. We also asked for a croissant with cream cheese, but they forgot the cream cheese, and we didn't go back to fix it. Overall, it's a nice spot.

Pretty basic and not a lot of lox. Very disappointing for the price!! $18.42 with tax....Will not order again.

Last time I was here I remember it being another name. Now it's under a new ownership "Kalia Cafe." I was with my cousin and we decided to try it out. The guy at the register was very welcoming and kind. My cousin and I decided to get some food and drinks. We chose the Matcha Latte and an Americana. Both were good choices. We decided to share the White Rock bagel , egg & cheddar and added bacon ( on everything bagel) It was delicious, but for me it would have been a notch up if the cheese was melted. Overall visit was nice. Would definitely come back and try other menu items!!

Coffee is hot and tasty! Need I say more? haha We just wanted a quick, easy breakfast and this hit the spot! In a small strip mall (with 2 floors) ... Dolphin Plaza .... it's a tad hidden because there are other shops all around. Look for the huge line at Maui Bread Company... Kalia is 2 doors down from there. We cruised in around 7:45am on Friday morning and were quickly greeted and our orders taken. Didn't take long to get our food. It was hot ... so hot that I had to open up my sandwich to let it "breathe" a bit before biting into it again. I mean... what is a little burnt mouth to start the day? ha! Gives a different spin on 'broke da mouth'. They didn't skimp on eggs nor sausage in my breakfast sandwich. In fact, I gave some of my sausage to the husband to finish. His breakfast burrito came with a green salad. I like when places give you salad as a side to start the day... I mean... we should all start the day with greens (but I rarely ever do.) I took the banana bread to go for later... I forgot it was in my bag, and ended up eating it 2 days later and it was still tasty! Lots of banana flavor!

Found this place after an early morning swim at the beach. Super casual. Pancakes and bubble waffles were great :). Try the cold nitro brew!! It's an order at the counter type place. Fast and easy.

Such a cute and vibey cafe. They have a great menu full of brunch options, smoothies, coffees and daily specials. I ordered an iced latte and the biscuits and gravy special -- I can't recommend it enough. Service was friendly, outdoor seating was comfortable and the food was great. I highly recommend. read more

Love their paninis and Italian sodas! The way they wrap up their sandwiches makes them perfect for a beach day, hike, or picnic. They also tend to hold up pretty well if you don't eat them immediately. My favorites are the Maui melt and sugar beach - but I've never had a bad sandwich here! Do yourself a favor and get the Orange creamsicle Italian soda with cream. You won't regret the calories! read more

Wow!!! This place is so good! We came to Hawaii for five days to look at wedding venues. When we arrived, we had a general idea of popular restaurants that both locals and tourists visit. When we left to get breakfast one morning, the original restaurant on our list was disgustingly overcrowded with tourists (I'm sure it's a good sign) however, we wanted to make the most of our time here so we wanted something quick.... We found this cafe, and we both can't say enough about the food. My fiancé got the Maui melt, and I got the little beach and added turkey. . . . When we left, we both couldn't stop talking about the sandwiches.... We ended up coming back to this place every single morning for the remainder of our trip. . . It's a GEM!!!! A friend asked me to buy one of their café freezers which contained a double shot espresso for the 16 ounce and to compare them to Starbucks Frappe. It's a worthy purchase, not too sweet, just the right amount of caffeine to keep me going. Staff are welcoming, and there's free WiFi. Definitely come here, support local, and they have a plethora of menu items. I'll get their Panini that I heard about next time I'm in the area. read more

I went here for breakfast one day while visiting. There was a line of about 8 people, within about 3 min they had all been helped and I was ordering. The staff was very friendly and made sure that they had my order right, they had it ready in just a few minutes! Great coffee, delicious food, fast service and friendly people. My family were satisfied with everything we ordered(see my photos). It was close to our hotel, we could have walked. Customer service was good but do need a little work on their smiles and alohas! The place is also clean and pretty much organized. You order first then find a table inside or outside. Maui onion bagel is a must for sure! read more

This little French place is located in Kihei in the Dolphin Plaza. It's a simple and great breakfast place. They open early and you come up to the counter, order your food, pay, and then sit down. This way when you're done eating you can go to the beach or do your own thing without waiting for your check. The food is simple and good. Mainly bagel sandwiches or regular sandwiches. Just a simple and solid place for a lighter breakfast. It reminded me us of Europe when we were there. We recommend this place for a quick breakfast! read more

Super nice staff, they are quick! Awesome iced coffee with oat milk (double espresso with oat milk iced). Had bagel sandwiches, they were good, we're from the east coast so a little picky on bagels. Inside and Outside seating. I'd recommend getting food takeaway, walk to the beach across the street and enjoy. read more

This place is "just fine" - got the lox and bagel. They go real soft on the lox, one slice max and a decent-max bagel. Staff was super nice and the other breakfast items looked dope. Would give 3.5, but defaulting to 4 stars for merit! Give them a shot and follow-up read more

The Sugar Beach had my husband and I back 2 days in a row! My husband actually added sausage to his and he said it was filling and was great! The coffee was hot and fresh each time we went and it was flavorful as well. We also tried their banana bread and it was pretty good, but, not as moist as others we had but was still good. If you are in S. Kihei, you should pay them a visit. I only have 4 stars because both times we ordered the girls who took our order was a little rude, but the servers who brought the food was nice. They were packed but the orders still came out rather quickly. Due to COVID, we ate across the street at the beach so we could be out doors, but it was relaxing. read more

Friend and I had a lox bagel and some coffee. It is very close to where we were staying and there was no one around which was nice. Staff was friendly and courteous. Customizing our coffee went well and there was wifi during our wait. The food took forever. There was no one else in the place at the time, and 3 or 4 workers that were there talking at the front having a good time. Why the food took forever I'll probably never know. The lox bagel has no cooked ingredients so really it is mostly just assembly. And unless the bagels are being toasted via magnifying glass, it shouldn't have taken that long. I would love to rate it better since the people working were cool but more than 20 minutes of wait time without another soul to contend with for attention is inexcuseable. Bottom line: The coffee was long gone and I lamented its absence when I ate. Do try it though. Hopefully your experience is better than mine. read more

We really enjoyed our lunch and appreciated how kind and patient the staff was with our jet lagged 2 year old. They had toys available for the kids to play with and offered great advice and suggestions for our stay (it was our first day). The accommodated our requests (like a peanut butter and honey sandwich from the 2 year old) even if it wasn't on the menu. The bagel sandwiches were delicious and we actually ordered some to go on our way out of town so we would have food on the plane. Like much of Maui, the parking lot is small and the parking spots also feel narrow (just fyi, not anything the cafe could do about that). read more

It's a cute little cafe with great food and great service. They are really nice to customers and are willing to do some extra stuff for them. I order the Chicken Bacon Ranch Sandwich. Fresh, hearty and delicious is what sums up this place. We ordered a Tuscan Sun and Ho'okipa sandwich and both were very crunchy and tasty. I'm not a fan of tofu but the marinated tofu in ho'okipa was yum! I would recommend ordering over a sourdough bread instead of the multigrain. While their multigrain is good, the sourdough just holds everything together. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting Maui. read more

My husband and I stopped in here this morning for breakfast before heading to the west side of the island. He ordered a Big Beach on an everything bagel, I got a White Rock on a sweet Maui onion bagel. Worth it. The best part, though, was that we mentioned to one of the baristas that our plan was to explore the west side of the island today, and he pulled out a map and started circling places for us to visit. For those that appreciate a local touch, it was nice getting to hear it from the horse's mouth (so to speak). TLDR; good food, super personable staff. Check it out! Recently spent a month in Kihei and Kalia Cafe quickly became our "go-to" for our morning coffee and breakfast. Great coffee and tasty food but it's the owner Jen and her staff that really set this place apart. They are friendly and accommodating, by our second week they were greeting us by name when we walked in the door (now know what Norm on Cheers felt like!). Grabbed lunch there a few times as well, sandwiches are massive and very, very tasty. Looking forward to being a "regular" when we visit Maui again next year. read more

Very good sandwiches at affordable prices. When your over spending on pretty much every meal while on vacation, this is a great place to get a lot for a little. One sandwich is large enough for two people to share, all without sacrificing taste or quality. The customer service was outstanding. We ordered a kids meal, and while eating, the store manager came up to us and said if the kids were still hungry to let him know, that they would make more on the house. Strawberry pineapple smoothie was delicious. Only negative, the white mocha was over sweetened. Still tasted great so next time I would ask for half the flavoring. read more

Hubby had the key lime pie a la mode, and it was the perfect balance of creamy sweetness and tart, but not too tart. Both slices came with a generous scoop of vanilla ice cream, which is the only way to do it. The service was friendly, too. The indoor seating was full, so we sat outside, which turned out to be lovely for people watching and enjoying the fresh air. If you have a sweet tooth and appreciate a proper slice of pie, Maui Pie is worth the trip. Highly recommend, and I'll see you there for more peach cobbler!

If the chocolate banana bread is any indication of the quality of their baked goods, I can see why this place has such a great reputation. I will definitely be back on my next trip to Maui. But I dither, Nick's Fishmarket Maui is in an incredible location inside the Fairmont Kea Lani and it's setting alone would be enough to pull me back even if the food was just okay. Thankfully the food is MUCH better than "just okay", it is generally outstanding. I rotate starters and salads because there are so many great choices. The Caesar Salad is about as good as they get, but I really, really like the Maui Greek Salad. With at least four people we start with the Seafood Tower, but find it just too big for two of us. Other than that the Kalua Pig Pot Stickers, Charred Octopus, Crab Cakes and Blackened Ahi are the starters I rotate through. For my Main, I am less eclectic. I have a hard time getting away from the Diver Scallops and Scampi. I have tried other dishes, the Abalone, Kona Lobster and Ribeye (I know, I know, who orders steak in a seafood restaurant), but I keep coming back to. For Dessert, I am also in a rut, but I love desserts they set on fire and in this case it is Bananas Foster. I do sneak bites off my DW's Creme Brulee, as does off my BF. The service is terrific, attentive without being intrusive. I used to joke about the Chicago store that if you knocked a spoon off the table someone would catch it before it hit the floor. The Maui service isn't quite that attentive and I am not sure I would want it to be.

It isn't much to look at but it sure is a pleasure to our taste buds. The bagels are fresh, chewy, moist and perfect. There are plenty of specials with eggs, cheese, other goodies but let's not forget about lunch! The Panini Grill is hot and fired up ready to toast up a sandwich of your choice on fresh sour dough with a side of greens topped with a homemade salad dressing. Wifi available so bring your laptop...left it in your room? They have a couple computers to borrow. So enjoy smooth cappuccino, cold fresh fruit real smoothies and more. We've lived a few blocks South for years and just recently stopped by this comfortable, cozy, and cute cafe! We gave it a try following a recommendation from our daughter and were delighted with the atmosphere, the service, and the delicious and fresh food. The bonus has to be the friendly and accommodating owners who made us feel like they were welcoming us back even though it was our first time there! I've gone back several more times with my friend and sister as well. Christoper is so awesome! He went out of his way to make sure that our food was delicious and that we were MORE than 100% satisfied. Great management/ownership. Also, great staff; Karina is very friendly and nice. Wowza! This place was remodeled not too long ago and everything changed for the better! Their pancakes and bubble waffles look great, but I had their chicken shawarma (they call it a pita sandwich) and it was loaded with flavor. The blueberry Lilikoi lemonade was unique as well. The food came out fast and the staff was super friendly, making sure I was well attended for. I was here a couple times before the remodel, and boy does this place look much better. Visited this little gem today! So fresh, so good! We had an angel demon on Maui onion bagel, Paia on cheese bagel and a little beach with bacon on Everything bagel and an iced coconut mocha. Everything was absolutely delicious and we had enough for breakfast on the way to our Kings Trail hike and some leftover to eat when we were done. It was perfect! And the prices were very reasonable.
