Very good location & spacious. My husband & I stumbled upon this cafe after a day at the beach. I was very happy to sit inside this cafe. Their black coffee is very good - nutty & fruity. They also have a wide coffee drinks selection, as well as food.

Had a late Sunday breakfast. Ordered the burrito with salad, Bubble Waffle and a side of bacon. Good portion to share. We enjoyed all. They were friendly and helpful. They were closing in 30 minutes and was nice about letting us know since we were going to sit down to eat. Ambiance was quiet. The place was clean and have cute merchandise for purchase as well as coffee bags to take home. Other customers came to purchase cold drinks. Would recommend if in the area.

I spent $30 on breakfast and coffee here and when a bite of bagel went down slow as I tried to swallow, I asked for a cup of water. The cashier says, "I can't give you water. we have bottled water for purchase." When i looked visibly shocked she told me she could sell me a cup of tap water for 79 cents. "For the cost of the cup" .... she said. This level of greed, this lack of community care, is uncommon on the island. Spend your money elsewhere. Gross.

While waiting for my friend tog eat her nails done next door stopped by for Kalia's blueberry lilikoi (passion fruit) lemonade and it is so fresh and delicious. They have testers to taste their "butters" for lilokoi, ube, etc and I almost impulse bought them all. Truth be told there's a good chance I'll come back because everything tastes so good

Wanted to let you guys know that if you order online a vegetable bagel don't expect cucumbers as advertised. Not sure what the menu looks inside because I thought it was the same menu. But when I picked up my order and went to work, I was disappointed that they, what I thought, forgot the cucumbers. Of course I checked the online menu, making sure I wasn't making things up, it says cucumbers as one of the ingredients. With that I called to let them know they forgot to put it on. The girl said they don't put cucumbers on their veggie bagels... I mentioned the website specifically and she did apologize and said she would let the manager/owner know about the site. So I paid $16 with tip for a bagel. Does come with a lot of chips ... so if you like more veggies bring your own‍ Oh haven't taken a bite yet, I'm sure it taste wonderful. Ok took a bite, yup taste like a bagel, don't know if they toasted it. Wasn't an option online. Would be better if the bagel was crispier. Enjoy!

We were looking for a quick breakfast and found this cafe close to us in Kihei. The person taking our order was friendly, patient, and helpful. You order at the counter then pick it up at the when it's ready. This location is a cute spot and not very big. Yet, they have indoor and outdoor seating. The food was good. We ordered the Bubble waffles which resembled a mochi waffle. We also ordered the a bagel. The bagel would have been better with smoked salmon. We also tried the beef empanada. The crust was flakey and the meet filling was tasty, not spicy.

We visited Kali Café in Kihei. The location is nice, the staff is really friendly, and they open early, which is convenient. The coffee was just okay. We tried the bubble waffles, but they were just okay too, probably not something we'd order again. I also tried the Acai and coconut parfait, which was good. We ordered the bacon egg cheddar sandwich and the bacon egg cheddar bagel sandwich, both were good. We also asked for a croissant with cream cheese, but they forgot the cream cheese, and we didn't go back to fix it. Overall, it's a nice spot.

Pretty basic and not a lot of lox. Very disappointing for the price!! $18.42 with tax....Will not order again.

Last time I was here I remember it being another name. Now it's under a new ownership "Kalia Cafe." I was with my cousin and we decided to try it out. The guy at the register was very welcoming and kind. My cousin and I decided to get some food and drinks. We chose the Matcha Latte and an Americana. Both were good choices. We decided to share the White Rock bagel , egg & cheddar and added bacon ( on everything bagel) It was delicious, but for me it would have been a notch up if the cheese was melted. Overall visit was nice. Would definitely come back and try other menu items!!

Coffee is hot and tasty! Need I say more? haha We just wanted a quick, easy breakfast and this hit the spot! In a small strip mall (with 2 floors) ... Dolphin Plaza .... it's a tad hidden because there are other shops all around. Look for the huge line at Maui Bread Company... Kalia is 2 doors down from there. We cruised in around 7:45am on Friday morning and were quickly greeted and our orders taken. Didn't take long to get our food. It was hot ... so hot that I had to open up my sandwich to let it "breathe" a bit before biting into it again. I mean... what is a little burnt mouth to start the day? ha! Gives a different spin on 'broke da mouth'. They didn't skimp on eggs nor sausage in my breakfast sandwich. In fact, I gave some of my sausage to the husband to finish. His breakfast burrito came with a green salad. I like when places give you salad as a side to start the day... I mean... we should all start the day with greens (but I rarely ever do.) I took the banana bread to go for later... I forgot it was in my bag, and ended up eating it 2 days later and it was still tasty! Lots of banana flavor!

Found this place after an early morning swim at the beach. Super casual. Pancakes and bubble waffles were great :). Try the cold nitro brew!! It's an order at the counter type place. Fast and easy.

I have been coming to this cafe since they opened many moons ago. The service and quality has always stayed consistent even when they sold to new Ownership a while back. I had the yummiest bagel sandwich today on a sweet Maui bagel. (I WISH I would have taken a photo of it for you, it was huge!!) Make sure to get their clip card. Everytime you order a coffee drink or bagel you get a stamp. 10th one is free! read more

This is a great little hidden gem for a quick breakfast/lunch before the beach. The breakfast sandwiches are fresh and delicious and the staff is so kind! They also have homemade pastries! The banana bread was phenomenal. read more

Wife and I went here for first breakfast in Maui. Was good food. Good atmosphere, seemed very clean. I got the Demon something sandwich which was sausage, egg, jalapeños and spinach and artichoke cream cheese. It was pretty good. My one gripe was that the sandwich is constructed in a way that is near impossible to eat with your hands. The egg and sausage just slides right out, so I ate it with a fork and knife. Not a big deal, but was frustrating at first. My wife got the bagel with cream cheese, lox, tomato red onion and capers. She enjoyed it a lot. Her only comment was that the everything bagel didn't have a lot of the "everything" on it. Coffee was okay, she liked hers, I didn't care too much for it. The sugar in the raw is in a cheese shaker which was super annoying. Otherwise it was a cheap and good local spot. read more

I would give this place 5 stars but it was quite a shock to come in a see the prices jump $2 within a week. I understand inflation happens, but that's a big jump in a short amount of time. I've been coming here a long time for the tasty breakfast at an affordable price, but that's over now. I can't justify paying $6 or $8 for a microwaved egg sandwich. I liked the atmosphere and the consideration the establishment had for not price gouging, but I suppose that's over and now the word will spread for locals to go elsewhere. read more

I stopped by here earlier today with my wife for our morning coffees. We arrived to la plage at around 9 AM and it was hopping. The inside is decorated with cheery yellow walls, some wood tables, a couch area and of course some display cases which had bagels in them. On this morning I decided to go with my usual large americano to which the person waiting on me asked how many shots. After asking how strong I liked my coffee to which I replied strong, he encouraged me to get 4 shots. He was actually really nice and made the experience well worth it. The coffee itself was smooth and strong which was nice. The bottom line for me is that I would head here again in the future. My coffee was good and the guy at the cash register was super nice. read more

Great little bagel shop in Kihei. Come hungry if you're planning to order a bagel egg sandwich because they are HUGE! The sausage egg and cheese comes piled high with two sausage patties, scrambled eggs, your choice of cheese and their house sauce which is delicious. They don't make the bagels in house, but they do get them from a local bakery so they don't always have all types. They were pretty busy but we didn't have to wait too long which is always good. Would definitely come back. read more

Stopped here on our last day In Maui. I wish I would've tried this place earlier. I would've been here every morning. I had a regular iced latte. It was very good and the price was very reasonable compared to everything else around here. The bagel sandwiches look great too but we had other plans for an early lunch. The service is also very good. If you need coffee hot or iced, this is the place to go. Aloha read more

Had the most delicious and satisfying sandwich and smoothie here. I ordered the Pai'a sandwich and made it vegan by replacing the cream cheese with hummus and it was divine - the bread was perfectly toasted and each bite was full of fresh ingredients. The side salad was also perfect - the tangy house-made vinaigrette was very tasty and it was a good sized portion. They also knocked their dragonfruit, mango, pineapple smoothie out of the park - it wasn't filled with ice but with actual deliciously ripe fruit! We loved the sandwich and smoothie so much that we can here twice on our one week vacation in Maui. The sandwich & salad was around $7.50 before tax, which honestly isn't too pricey compared to the rest of the food in Maui and considering the portion size. The smoothie was a little pricier, around $6 before tax, but a smoothie anywhere here is around that price. The Staff here are also so sweet - as are most people in Kihei (and Maui in general, really). The decor is very homey and they have a rack of greeting cards that are quite hilarious (definitely not meant for children, but it gave me a few good laughs). Anyway, I recommend Cafe @ La Plage for anyone visiting Kihei looking for a delicious breakfast/lunch. You really won't regret it! read more

We come here for the coffee but today they had a bacon burger panini which I had to try. It was so satisfying along with the chocolate Mac nut coffee. Although they close early this is definitely a go to spot. Breakfast and lunch are awesome. read more

Breakfast for $3-6 pp is a good deal on Maui. Bagels are on the dry side buy still tasty with egg and cheese. Available games kept the kids entertained while we ate. Wish their water cups were compostable instead of plastic. read more

Staff is very friendly which I love omg with great coffee. I had an ice latte and it the spot! They have hilarious magnets up by the register, you have to read them or buy one that catches your liking. I was literally laughing out loud has me & my daughter cracking up!! A variety assortment of breakfast food and coffee. They smoothies are tasty, too! Cool relaxing place to enjoy your coffee and food. This was my first time at Cafe at La Plage! I researched yelp to find a good place to have breakfast while staying at Kihei. Cafe at La Plage is convenient to access, the staff are welcoming and make you feel comfortable. The food, bagel breakfast was so delicious. The macadamia nut coffee was amazing too! I'll definitely come back here on my next visit to Maui No Ka Oi! Mahalo for a great breakfast and service. read more

We found this hidden gem while walking around the shops near our condo. Americanos and Lattes are wonderful with rich flavor. I ordered the onion bagel every morning and the strawberry banana smoothie a few times. The bagel was fresh and flavorful and the smoothie wasn't overly sweet which I loved. Really good veggie bagel. The sandwich Napili is also awesome The service is great but if it gets busy can take a while for your order - so be prepared The coffee is great The best part is they open at 6am which is so cool. The only COMPLAINT I have is the paper or the packing box they use releases some type of smell in the food if kept for more than mere one hour. The food smells like paper I experienced this TWICE Had this not been the case the place would have been perfect. read more

Seriously amazing! Great food and great, fast service! We stopped by initially because I wanted to go to Maui Bread next door and others in my group wanted something more substantial and all of us went crazy for the food here. We got the bagel with lox and the sugar beach breakfast sandwich and had to go back the next day to get it again! I would definitely recommend stopping by!!! read more

Coffee is amazing... Spoiler alert. It i a must for a cup of coffee. We came here on our way upcountry. We were exited to see a huge selection of bagels and drinks. I ordered a black house coffee and an everything bagel with jalapeño cream cheese. The coffee was absolutely fantastic. It had a floral bouquet and a slight citrus flavor. I always drink my coffee black and loved this particular grind. The bagel was toasted, but a bit dense. The jalapeño spread was pretty good. It had a bit of heat, but nowhere near enough to overpower the coffee. I would come back for the coffee, but chose another spot for a bagel. Maybe it was an off day. Damn good coffee though. read more

This place SUCKS!!!!! Bagels are great if you have to go at least make the trip worth it with a Maui sweet onion bagel. Food was great service TERRIBLE and I mean the people there were atrocious. The workers did not communicate and were rude . I was there for a while and when I went up to the counter I found my order in a bag on the floor. They never called my name! Personally I would not ever recommend this cafe I do not know how it has as much stars as it does. read more

A little hard to find, located in Dolphin Plaza, but a nice little hide-away for a quick, inexpensive bagel sandwich. We ordered the "Little Beach" breakfast sandwich, which consists of scrambled egg, your choice of cheese & ham or bacon on your choice of bagel. The bagels were super soft & fresh, making us wonder if they made them in-house, they were that soft! The gentlemen were obviously French & quiet spoken & told us to have a seat & they brought our order out to us once it was ready. read more

What a great place to stop for a quick bite! Super nice owners and staff...very accommodating. They have bagels, soup, sandwiches. The bagels are very good...I would stop and just buy bagels to take home. We had 2 HUGE breakfast sandwiches for a great price! My hubby's had lots of egg, 2 sausage patties....I had a turkey/cream cheese/sprouts sandwich. Easy parking, small place but inside seating. Would be easy to get a lunch for going to the beach. read more

The Caesar Salad is about as good as they get, but I really, really like the Maui Greek Salad. With at least four people we start with the Seafood Tower, but find it just too big for two of us. Other than that the Kalua Pig Pot Stickers, Charred Octopus, Crab Cakes and Blackened Ahi are the starters I rotate through. For my Main, I am less eclectic. I have a hard time getting away from the Diver Scallops and Scampi. I have tried other dishes, the Abalone, Kona Lobster and Ribeye (I know, I know, who orders steak in a seafood restaurant), but I keep coming back to. For Dessert, I am also in a rut, but I love desserts they set on fire and in this case it is Bananas Foster. I do sneak bites off my DW's Creme Brulee, as does off my BF. The service is terrific, attentive without being intrusive. I used to joke about the Chicago store that if you knocked a spoon off the table someone would catch it before it hit the floor. The Maui service isn't quite that attentive and I am not sure I would want it to be.

It isn't much to look at but it sure is a pleasure to our taste buds. The bagels are fresh, chewy, moist and perfect. There are plenty of specials with eggs, cheese, other goodies but let's not forget about lunch! The Panini Grill is hot and fired up ready to toast up a sandwich of your choice on fresh sour dough with a side of greens topped with a homemade salad dressing. Wifi available so bring your laptop...left it in your room? They have a couple computers to borrow. So enjoy smooth cappuccino, cold fresh fruit real smoothies and more. We've lived a few blocks South for years and just recently stopped by this comfortable, cozy, and cute cafe! We gave it a try following a recommendation from our daughter and were delighted with the atmosphere, the service, and the delicious and fresh food. The bonus has to be the friendly and accommodating owners who made us feel like they were welcoming us back even though it was our first time there! Wowza! This place was remodeled not too long ago and everything changed for the better! Their pancakes and bubble waffles look great, but I had their chicken shawarma (they call it a pita sandwich) and it was loaded with flavor. The blueberry Lilikoi lemonade was unique as well. The food came out fast and the staff was super friendly, making sure I was well attended for. I was here a couple times before the remodel, and boy does this place look much better. Visited this little gem today! So fresh, so good! We had an angel demon on Maui onion bagel, Paia on cheese bagel and a little beach with bacon on Everything bagel and an iced coconut mocha. Everything was absolutely delicious and we had enough for breakfast on the way to our Kings Trail hike and some leftover to eat when we were done. It was perfect! And the prices were very reasonable.
