The vibe and music were nice, but the service was incredibly slow. I came with a group of 6 and we had reservations, so we expected a much better experience. Our server checked on the table once in the beginning, but after that, we waited over 30 minutes without seeing her again. Meanwhile, we noticed her spending time talking and dancing near another table on the other side of the venue while we were still waiting for service. After 45 minutes, we eventually decided to leave. As we were leaving, we noticed she was sitting at a table with her feet up. Terrible service. If you go, go for the atmosphere only--definitely not if you're expecting to actually eat.
First thing first, the valet service station was TRASH! We pull up & see a sign saying VALET $20 / SELF PARKING $15 or $20. We request valet and were advised valet was unavailable due to shortage of staff. There were at least 6 people at the station. When we asked the "manager" he advised valet parking was offsite and we wouldn't want to wait for it. When we said self parking fine, we were advised parking was $40 despite the sign posted. We're from the Atlanta area so we used to the parking scams unfortunately. More about principles via $$$. The inside staff were nice and friendly. Our server was nice, but definitely preoccupied with the preparation for the night party. We waited for drink refills & condiments for at least 15/20 mins after receiving our food. Oh yea, hookah is ordered via text. But TikT said the vibes were there & they aint lie. WE HAD A BALL!! We stayed at least 3 hours for the vibes. The dj had us on our feet dancing & singing like we wrote the songs. VIBES 15/10 Despite the service, I would Uber & definitely try again. * Fish & Shrimp Platter: 10/10 FRESH seafood; seasoned PERFECTLY; everything fried hard like Atlanta * Rockefeller Oysters: 0/10 overcooked & just not edible
I enjoyed myself here! Our reservation was for 11am and by the time we got there the line was wrapped around the corner. Prepare to stand outside for a while. Try your best to be early. I did not like the fact that we had to pay $40 for parking but from my understanding, that is typical Houston. There were two lines , one for reservations and one for general entry. I would suggest that they add some sort of tents or misters outside because it was extremely hot and it took us a while to get to the front of the line. Once we got in our table of 4 was seated quickly In a shaded area , which I was happy about. It wasn't as hot as the other seating areas. Our waitress came over and helped us out promptly and our food came out pretty quick. The breakfast shots were 10/10 and our shared drink was very good too! The food was immaculate. Each one of my friends said they enjoyed their food. I had the catfish and grits with blackened shrimp on the side. It was lovely. The DJ was awesome and the vibes were great inside. My only really negative thing to say is the restroom. They need to upgrade it. There is no reason a women's bathroom has only one hand washing station where there is a bathroom attendant crowded next to it. But overall enjoyed my first Experience at Kamp and will be back in the cooler months of the year!
If you're looking to party then this is the place. The party is outside so be prepared to sweat. They have lots of umbrellas covering the tables but that can only do so much. Our server was excellent and very attentive. The food came out really fast and full of flavor. We ordered the grilled shrimp, wings, N fried catfish gumbo. Everything was perfect. So not only do you get great vibes but great food. Def a place that I will be back.
Bartender Kenadé (Kennedy) is warm & welcoming, I admire that she's a great listener, and collected my to go containers prior to my food arrival. She even ask if I needed 3 for each order or less. WOW, talk about top tier customer service. I needed only two. Two orders are for my son, and one for myself. She even provided napkins prior to me even requesting them!!! She get 10********** stars Chef Shanny on the scene checking customers satisfaction which I absolutely adore the food temp, flavor and presentation!!!
We had the absolute BEST time at Kamp Houston, and it was all thanks to our incredible party host, Paysen. From the moment we arrived, she was warm, welcoming, and brought an energy that instantly set the vibe for a great night. What really blew us away? Paysen remembered every single food order without writing a thing down. Not one mix-up. That kind of attention to detail is rare these days and made our experience so smooth. She kept it 100% real when it came to food and drink recs--she told us exactly what we'd love and wasn't afraid to steer us away from anything that didn't hit. And she was spot-on every time. Thank you, Paysen, for making our night at Kamp Houston so amazing. We'll definitely be back (and asking for you)!
Every time I come to Kamp, I have a great time. I repeat EVERY TIME I COME TO KAMP I HAVE A GREAT TIME! This time we were in town for the Texas Greek Picnic so you know the Divine 9 had to show up and show out. We made our reservation for 11am. We didn't get seated until about 11:30-11:45. The process to get inside is a lil long and drawn out every time. But when you make it in, the vibes are vibing!!! The DJ hits every time, there is grass area where you can dance, the drinks are always flowing, the servers are great. It's just a grand time! We ordered hookah, a breakfast shot, a shot of tequila and the island get away which serves 4 people. The food is finger licking good! The flavor is on 10 thousand! I come back every time! Can't come to Houston without hitting Kamp!
Came in for a girls weekend on a Sunday. Made a reservation for 11 am I was sat in time and ordered within 10 minutes. Unfortunately everyone's food came out but mine. The manager was kind enough to take care of our issues. My friends enjoyed their food. Other than that the music was fun and the area was clean. You also have to pay to self park $20 or $40 to valet in their own parking lot!!
came here randomly for lunch without any expectations or prior knowledge, and was so excited that they have an all day $1 raw or chargrilled oysters special on Wednesdays! The food was above average and the place was clean. Tons of seating. Their outdoor patio has lots of fans so it wasn't hot. Huge bar in the middle of the establishment with a huge variety of specialty drinks. The restaurant is camping in wilderness themed and the waitresses are in cute camp ranger outfits with super cute patches as name tags. Our waitress was so attentive and came by multiple times to check on us before the food arrived. Service was very quick, plates were cleaned off almost immediately but not in a rushing or you need to go now way. the manager also came by to introduce himself. Impressed by their amazing service
Let's talk about it. First time out at Kamp -- I had to pull up because I saw my boy Drizzy Drake was out there, and we figured it'd be the perfect spot to check out for happy hour while visiting Houston. The vibe? Solid. Real cool atmosphere, good energy, and a spot you definitely want to post up at for a bit. Our server was super chill and informative -- gave us the rundown on what's popping in the city, which we appreciated since we're not from Houston and were just making a quick stop. Now let's get into these drinks. The Hennessy sidecar and frozen drinks? Both 10 out of 10. I've had some terrible drinks lately, so these hit the mark. Cold, flavorful, refreshing -- exactly what you want at happy hour. But then came the wings... We ordered the hot lemon pepper, and unfortunately, this is where things went downhill. They were greasy -- like, noticeably greasy -- and honestly just ruined the experience. After that, we had to close out, call it a night, and move on to the next spot. It was that much of a letdown. If you're looking for a chill happy hour with solid drinks, Kamp's worth checking out -- just maybe skip the wings.
This place was trash! I don't know what all y'all people on these social media sites talking about because I'm not on any of them. We went at 10pm on Monday June 24, 2024 which was suppose to be $14.99 seafood boil deal and $2.50 daiquiris specials. Which they ran out of by 10pm...Smdh But...when we arrived I could tell this place wasn't going to be it...nobody around staff hanging in a group all on their phones. Not paying attention to customers coming in. Always the same at these social media "hot spots" when some celebrity isn't around. We were given the menu and decided to sit outside. Now the place is a cute little spot and the staff did have cute uniforms on...but that is where it all stopped. For whatever reason the girl that sat us and even our waitress didn't know that after 10pm the kitchen wouldn't have the full regular menu available. So when we ordered our food she had to come back to us and say they don't have any of what we wanted left...and oh by the way I forgot it was after 10 here's the late night menu. Which I ordered a pizza and they didn't have that either! Smdh How you have a late night menu mind you they close at midnight and don't have a damn pizza? Then my drink was a watered down mess that ended up costing me $17! And my waitress didn't even think to ask if I wanted something else seeing that I didn't even drink the nasty drink. And by the way pay in credit card so you can regulate how much tip. Because I gave her a $20 and she just smiled and slowly walked away!!! I let her have it but don't just assume I wanted to give you a tip with that mediocre service you gave us. But the kicker was my sister had a drink which had a whole big ass paper clip in the drink!!! And instead of this dingy waitress getting her manager involved and saying the drink was free she going to say we can remake it and here is a free shot of Hennessy. And then expected my sister to still pay for it! It's hard to say if I might give them one more chance. Possibly maybe on a weekend if we can get food off the FULL menu. Hopefully they won't run out of all foods by the time we order. We will see
It was alright, I see why the reviews are not so hot. The food is alright. I feel like you really would come here for the vibes over the food. The service was okay too, they were informative and the food didn't take forever to come out. There was also good music playing. I ordered the crab cake and trash can brisket nachos. The nachos don't come with a lot of toppings and meat is dry. The table next to us hardly finished their food and said to not get the nachos but we had already ordered. Ours followed suite to what they said. If you're debating the nachos I would advise against it. The crab cake on the other hand was delicious. It's an appetizer so it's just the single crab cake. The price of the food didn't match how it tasted. Others ordered entrees and they said they were good. I heard the ribs were really good. Brisket Nachos 3/5 Crab cake 4/5 Oysters 4/5 Also the $200 drink tower doesn't seem worth it. I'm not from Houston but we have those in the DC area for like $80 lol.

I dont normally leave reviews but the staff here is a joke, my food never came out and it was not removed out of our bill. Parking is expensive, its nice if you want to vibe out and starve. Jamie and one of the chefs seem to be "very close" with one and another btw, both came up to our table and they just flirted with each other ... Im not even sure what Jamie those there or why she came to our table and if the issue was never going to be resolved. my friends enjoyed their food, so ill keep two stars for them but its unprofessional for staff members to be doing that in front of customers - but this company is all around unprofessional. read more

The food was good. The service was personable and attentive. The outdoor but covered booth was a comfortable set up. The music was really good. We had a great time. Went on a Saturday night it was pack and parking was $60! We didn't go in and came back the next morning for brunch. It was no crowd and parking was maybe $10. I would definitely recommend and we had a great time! read more

Omgggg this was the highlight of our trip!!! The vibes were there! If you don't want people swag surfin over your French toast this is NOT for you. But if your like me and enjoy dancing and singing along while brunch and eating seafood boils come on!! The line was short, they do have security. I had the crawfish boil and it was delicious! I was so excited to finally visit this place after seeing the long queues every time I passed by. I made a reservation right when they opened and got a spot in the empty parking lot with no extra charge. I decided to try the wings, which are my favorite thing to order at any restaurant. They were amazing! Crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and full of flavor. The vibe here is awesome at night, with music, sparklers, and a lot of fun. The staff was fast and friendly, and I can't wait to come back with a group of friends to enjoy the full experience. Wow! So I'm going to jump right in here! The midday line here on a Friday was insane (and could have totally been better managed), but we waited and I'm glad we did. Our server, Rebecca, was really kind and attentive (but appeared to be overwhelmed with the amount of tables). Now onto the food! My loaded mac and cheese with brisket was so sad. The brisket was more of the consistency of a well done, cubed steak with fatty pieces intermingled (hard eye roll), and the macaroni and cheese had a velvetta meets Kraft singles vibe that I didn't enjoy. But moving swiftly along, I would do just about anything for the hubs' 3-meat, loaded baked potato. That thing was divine. I nibble on his and got mad. There was no comparison to the flavor and goodness of his entree in comparison to mine. Do yourself a favor and skip the "brisket" here. Overall, the vibe and music was enjoyable. Dope spot to visit if you're in Houston. We visited for brunch and it gave day party vibes. Service was super slow and they were out of most menu items, but maybe that was because of the time of day (a Sunday afternoon). My order was good but I don't have to order it again; there was hardly any crab meat in it. They have a specific brunch menu but still allowed my friends to order the wings, which were edible but had no seasoning at all. The drinks were really good and strong. The DJ was cool as well. Headed here for brunch with my wife and enjoyed the experience for the most part. Our waiter Desira was helpful, friendly, and attentive. Making sure we had our food and drinks even when the place was packed and crowded. DJ started off slow but got better as the day went on. Believe most people needed to eat before getting too lit. Food was good as well! Brisket was a bit salty but overall tasted good. Just be mindful to order your food sooner than later as the kitchen will get backed up. Definitely suggest making reservations. Even for just two people. Or else you'll be waiting in that line for a good minute. If you're getting section, make sure it's big enough. Noticed a group book a small spot and had too many people so some had to sit inside. Also paying $20 for valet just to park my own car is stupid...make it make sense. Also be mindful that some guest bring their kids. Like high schoolers to babies. We had a group that kept coming by us annoyingly and sitting down plus shaking the table. Thursday nights at Kamp have me in a chokehold!!! 50 cent wings and $5 drinks ??? What more could you ask for ? I ordered the Hot Honey Wings with a side of Fries. The Hot Honey Wings were 10/10. I dream about them . The Fries were 10/10. Well seasoned!!! I've also tried the Hot Lemon Pepper they were a 8.5/10 but a nice take on the lemon pepper considering that's not a favorite flavor of mine. I also tried the loaded baked potato with brisket. I'd rate it a 7/10, good! But nothing spectacular. Kamp is a great place to hangout with friends. Great music, good food, and just overall VIBES! My friends and I always sit on the patio so we can get the hookah. It's also closer to the Dj. That plus a whole lot of shots of Patron/Don Julio for $5 defijj no I rely had us having a good time. They have happy hour specials all week so check them out!!! read more

This establishment is a very popular young black people hangout spot/day party on weekends. I dined during Houston's Restaurant Week for brunch. The music is a good mix of old and new school and not too loud. Everyone is dressed like they're going to a party so keep that in mind if you want to blend in. Now to the food ... what I had wasn't worth the hype. Hearing grits, oxtails and seafood makes me excited but I was quickly disappointed. There was 1 actual lump of crab meat and the sweet potatoes were from the frozen bag. I tasted no cheese in the cheese grits, my 1 oxtail (in the menu it's plural) had the same fat & meat ratio. The chicken with my half a waffle was fatty and should be renamed to chicken & mini waffle. Maybe just go for the drinks, I didn't have one though. read more

I came here recently on a trip to Houston with a party of 16. We had to get two separate sections-- They initially told us we only had one section -- 1 section for 16 people..there's literally no way 16 ppl can sit in one section and eat and drink. It's.a "lit brunch" kind of atmosphere. Your not sitting down too long but to eat. However we had to pay a deposit for our section(s). We ended up being accommodated into two sections next to each other. They split the money we used to hold the table in half and it went towards our purchases- food alcohol etc. (NOT HOOKAH) Disclaimers; ***Houston heat is not that of Atlanta - drink water !!! We were doing just fine until the moment it was time to leave, we stood up for one last twerk it out; and that heat BEAT OUR ASS**** They had a special for a bottle of champagne for $35 so we got either 5 or 7 bottles or each table. It comes with carafes of juice. The DJ was lit ! He had an awesome variety of artist- genres and combination of 80s 90s early 2000's and current. Service was good as well. We ordered and got our food right away. I WISH i was able to taste their other menu-- the brunch menu was okay... but not my favorite - i wasn't too excited about the variety of options either. Me being the food connoisseur i am tasted everyone's food - i had the crab cake BLT extra sauce on the side and a smoked sausage - IT HIT Catfish and grits-- I don't care for my food to touch but the fish was seasoned well. The oxtails which I couldn't get a picture of were big and tender. -- They let us use one card for each table ; or they split the tab evenly ( no itemizing ) 6 ways per table. we chose to use one card each table. They automatically add gratuity-- i always advise to tip your server (with the amount of money we spent the gratuity definitely sufficed) Next time i visit i'll be back strictly for the other menu options LOL. The lunch/dinner menu holds way more options and a lot of seafood Overall i would definitely visit again. Enjoyed my time here. Food was pretty good and drinks. Happy hour deals are pretty good. This place does get super packed so be aware. Be early if you can. Music here is really good. Wednesday's are movie nights and super fun. Love the theme and concept of the venue. Definitely would visit again once in town. Hookahs are also for purchase. Hostess were nice. So myself and a large group (11 total) came to Kamp on Saturday for their day party. We had a section which was booked in advance. This was secured with a $250 deposit. We were told that we have to spend a minimum of $500 during our time (5-9pm) and the $250 would be deducted from that. We weren't told about the gratuity (20%) but it was to be expected and it was $9.10 per person. Their bottle prices were extremely expensive. And wouldn't have lasted for our group thus we were glad the money could be spent on food and bar drinks. Cons: - Their bathroom could've been cleaner. I had to press the toilet I wanted to use with my foot 5 times just to get it to flush - They were out of almost every frozen drink we wanted to order or were considering ordering (so instead I got tequila lemonades & a shot) - My wings were supposed to be whole wings but they were wingettes instead but I do believe the amount equaled out (I'm assuming this was due to the chicken wing shortage) Pros: - I loved that we had the option of the outdoor section because the weather was perfect. And we didn't have to worry about being on top of people inside - The wings I had and the fries were so good. I don't think anyone complained about their food. I even enjoyed the baked potato I ordered to go - Briana!! I'm not sure who our original server was supposed to be (she came once and never came back) but I'm so glad we ended up with Briana. She was so pretty, sweet, and helpful. She kept me updated on the tab as we got closer to leaving and explained the gratuity to me. Kamp Houston was such a vibe. It is like a camp themed Hooters that offers outdoor seating and hookah. I ordered a margarita and birria tacos. The tacos were amazing! Unfortunately, they were out of the crab claws and oysters, but I will be back. The menu definitely has a New Orleans inspiration and the service was great. Parking is limited. read more
First of all this must have been the place to be on the night we went! The line of cars waiting to find a parking place was ridiculously long. This is a cute spot for grownup drinks and food. What a fun idea...the whole camp thing was fun and cute. I ordered the lemon pepper wings and a plate of oysters and both were tasty and so was my margarita! The DJ was fun and kept the place lively. The negatives...not enough parking to accommodate the number of patrons visiting. Not enough outside seating. But don't let these couple of negative things stop you from visiting this place with such a cool outdoor camping vibe. It's well worth waiting for a parking spot and a table to open up. read more
Cutest concept ever! I've been here a couple of times and the food is always so good. Love the oysters! When I went this past weekend, I got to try the brunch menu. I really wanted to try the oxtails and grits but they were out of them so I ended up getting the lump crab & sweet potato hash, O M G! It was sooooo good! Only reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 was because it took me an hour to get food after having to ask for it multiple times and I ordered 2 drinks that I never got. We went on a Friday night and we had to pay to self park which was a little annoying, but I guess that's the thing in that area. They check your purse and pat down the men which we weren't expecting for a restaurant. I later found out that it's also a lounge club atmosphere so that's why. The service wasn't great it was slow and it wasn't even busy. I do believing it was maybe due to her having tables both inside and outside. She was very pleasant and helpful with the menu when she did come to the table. The hubby and I were disappointed in the food. As you can see the crab cake was a bland as it looks, the green beans had a strange taste and the blackened catfish needed some additional blackening. The drinks were delicious and they did have hookahs. I won't go back for the food, unless it's maybe brunch with chicken and waffles. I would go back for the drinks and music! read more

If you looking for a vibe in Houston this is it! I highly recommend getting a table/booth if you're going on a popular night. The service was great! The kamp girls were so friendly & fast! Love their theme and their outfits. The food was pretty good, fries were amazing, the oysters were decent, the only reason I am giving them a 4/5 is because it was tooooo much cheese in the oysters I didn't really get to enjoy the oysters. Unfortunately parking is $40. The place was packed but we were seated immediately upon arrival. There was a live DJ and it took quite a while for our waitress to bring our drinks. The Golden Ticket was my favorite. The Fish and Grits didn't disappoint neither. Next time we'll Uber from our hotel which was less than 2 miles away, but I'd definitely recommend. read more

Yes to the absolute vibe and energy of Texas ! Besides our waitress who was beautiful with the personality of a door nail. The food, music and overall feeling of Kamp was dope. Now listen... I wasn't one of those people that new about this popular spot before I went. In my usual fashion I was invited by my fam and just went with the flow. I wasn't disappointed. After about 5 drinks and some decent shrimp and grits I had the energy of a lion. And I had an outside dance floor to let it out (on a Sunday) without interruption or drama. It was good vibes all around ! I almost gave three stars because the waitress was but the memories from this place saved the day! read more

They don't specifically have mocktails but they do have lemonades, coke products things like that. I am currently pregnant so that was my first question and ended up just having a lemonade.

Wed Movie Nights? Need more details, nothing on here about it or the website. Schedule of what's showing? Are kids allowed? This sounds fun but I have my 5 year old son on Wed nights.
In my opinion...This is definitely not a place you'd want to take a 5 yr old. This is more of an "Adult" Kamp based on what I've seen when I first checked this place out. I'm sure someone can provide more detail
How or who do we contact for bday reservations? Is bottle service mandatory for a section?
You can call their reservation line. You pay for the section let's say it's $600. You have 600 to spend toward drinks and food. Most people get a bottle and some appetizers.
Do they ever answer their phone or text?
No. I called and received a message to text only. I texted and no response for two days
How much does it cost to get in?
There was no cover charge when I went. Only charge was for parking - Self-park ($10) and Valet ($20)
Can you reserve and prepay for a table/bottles in advance?
We don’t take deposits at this time. You pay at the end
Do you have Happy Hour? If yes, can you share hours and direct me to the happy hour mention?
Happy Hour Monday-Friday 4-7pm
