It was late and we were hungry while staying at Rio. Desperate, we decided to try out Kang's Kitchen since it was conveniently in the casino. The food turned out to be really really good! The first time we got Spicy Pork + Fried Rice ($18.88) to go which was delicious - the fried rice was excellent, the spicy pork was just as good as any legit KBBQ place, and their version of kimchi is a very fresh/crispy kind. One note is that they're limited about what they offer for dinner takeout - we tried to order cold noodles but they said it's not available for takeout after lunch -__- Second time we ate in the restaurant and it was a good dining experience again: - Korean Cold Noodles ($18.88) - we've had this at a lot of restaurants, and this is a really good version - Bulgogi & Fried Rice ($21.88) - yum. I think they put butter in their fried rice so it's extra decadent - Sausage & Rice Cake Skewers (2 pcs $4.99) - good, but prefer our rice cakes steamed instead of deep fried. I'm teetering on a three or four star for Kang's Kitchen. I'd give it a three and a half only because the whole experience was inconsistent. We didn't realize that the place was a Korean BBQ joint and those prices just weren't in our budget, so we ordered from their other menu full of soups, rice and noodle bowls. The servings are ridiculously huge, but for the price is reasonable. The small sides were fantastic and so tasty, but the entrees were more on the bland side. The waitresses were amazing and so kind, but it took forever to get our card back after we paid. Kang's Kitchen is very much geared towards the customer experience, I just wish that the food was up to par. However, from reading reviews it looks like the Korean BBQ is quite good! read more

Staying in the Rio Hotel in Las Vegas, so we decided on eating at Kang's Kitchen. We decided to eat the AYCE option at $48.88. While I believe there are less expensive AYCE places, we really enjoyed the food (meats included beef, pork, and chicken), ban chans with fresh green salad, steamed egg, Army stew, and a bowl of rice for each of us when offered. The ladies were very helpful in cooking the meats for us, but we were encouraged to take over the cooking duties as well if we wanted. We ordered the kalbi, teri chicken and pork belly. A generous portion of each meat was brought out to us. We could have ordered more, but we were very comfortable with our meal so decided we were good to go, even though our servers were more than happy to bring us more meats. My order was taken quickly and received all the sides that comes with Korean style food and ample amount of water Food: 5/5 I got the seafood Tofu soup, with a side of fried dumplings. That soup was straight hitting! Great flavor, soft tofu, and a decent amount of heat. Decent portion side so it was definitely filling. The dumplings were a great side dish to order. Not to greasy and they were light. But the salad that comes underneath the dumplings was amazing. Fresh, with a hit of acidity that cuts through the fat. Leaves a great refreshed feeling and lets you eat more. As for the sides, they were great! The potato salad and kimchi were my favorites and overall filled me up! The soup was flavorful and tasted authentic. The pork came with a small bean paste soup which paired very well. The pork was tasty and served on a sizzling hot plate. If you want to order meat a la carte, it's $35-50 per order. The cheapest combination was almost $90 and they went up to over $200. Four of us decided to get Bulgogi Steak & Fried Rice bowls for $25 each. It was terrible. First, there was an entire onion in the bowl and there was so much pepper in it, it was barely edible. We also got the fried dumplings and french fries and no joke, that was the best part of the meal. Three other people got a few meats a la carte and they said it was OK. The meat got over cooked. And the sides that they brought with the BBQ wasn't really enjoyed by anyone. Although there are not a lot of dining options at the RIO, I would try any place else but here. The meat was fantastic especially the ribs you get 8 sides with the order I think we got through five meat choices and two reorders and then realized we may never need to eat again. Service was great they kept an eye on the meat cooking though I am a Korean BBQ veteran so when they realized I could take care of the meat they didn't need to keep coming by. The place is bright and their exhaust fans are good at keeping the place from getting Smokey. If I was to have one criticism the chairs are not very comfortable but maybe that's to get you to stick to the 90 minute time limit. read more

Came here for dinner w/ reservations at 7pm for 5.25 of us (1 child hehe). Decently busy but not packed on a Saturday evening. We had ordered the "combination" which included seasoned galbi, seasoned short rib, beef brisket, seasoned rib finger, hand rub seasoned steak, rib eye, prime rib, shrimp, squid, hot pot noodle as well as a side order of "seared pork belly" Banchan consisted of fresh kimchi, pink radish, Korean style potato salad, Korean soybean soup, lettuce salad, spicy scallion salad Each person got a 3-sauce dish consisting of ssamjang (fermented soybean paste), honey mustard (what?), and some sweet chili sauce kind of similar looking to like Thai sweet chili sauce Almost completely not self cook like other higher end a la carte Korean bbq restaurants where the server does most of the cooking for you. The grill is gas powered with some charcoal briquettes inside as well. The grill itself has a ring surrounding it with a "mushroom corn soup" for "dipping", kimchi and soybean sprouts to be heated with the grill, slice of onion, 2 bell pepper rings, mushrooms, and rice cakes. First to be placed on the grill was the previous mentioned onion/mushroom/rice cakes along with decently marbled thin sliced beef brisket. Rice cake was nicely warmed up and burnt a little. Nicely warm and chewy. The waitress dipped it in the mushroom/corn soup that made it a bit weird Lol. The "beef brisket" was nice and tender, great with some of their ssamjang Next was the "seasoned (boneless) short rib" and the "rib eye". Short rib was pretty good. Not overly seasoned. Fatty and tender. Same for the rib eye. The "seasoned galbi" on the otherhand was a bit sweet, in comparison to any other meats we had. The "seasoned rib finger" was less seasoned and was more to our liking. Pork belly was like any other pork belly. Its pork belly. How can you not like it? Last was the shrimp and squid. Shrimp was butterflied open but unseasoned. You'd think they put some garlic butter or something but nope. Squid was huge and quite covered in sauce. Most of the table was full already so i was picking at it slowly. Some pieces getting more burnt than others. Was still good. Wish i had a beer at that point to eat the squid with LOL Unsure what this "hot pot noodle" is. I don't think we ever got it? For the price of 208.88 for this "combination" plus an order of "seared pork belly", at 38.88, was kind of pricey in comparison to other local ala carte KBBQ places for similar quality. This location is located inside the Rio Hotel near the main entrance. We dined in on a Tuesday (Halloween) around dinnertime and the place was not as busy as we would have expected but that was okay with us (no wait time). Decided on going for the $49 AYCE which was well worth it, in my opinion. Our server, Eunjung, was a great host and provided excellent service by recommending a few meats to us and making sure that our cups were never empty. Although I would have rather cooked the food myself, I could tell that they tried not to linger there so that we could have the private time to eat. The restaurant was very clean and well-kept. It's unfortunate that this location is inside the Rio with everything that is going on with the hotel itself. If I could leave 0 stars I would! Food was satisfying yet the customer service is HORRIBLE! The host at entry had an attitude to begin. We had a party of 8 and we were not told until we were ready to be seated that they could not accommodate a party of 8 and with Cedars is separate tables of four and four. We let them know the beginning of the meal that we wanted separate bills as we had two different families did not have their heads. You had an attitude rolling their eyes when we were asked for certain foods or items. At the end of the meal they tried to push us out, when we got the bill, it had an 18% gratuity added onto it, saying that we were a large party. We were two separate parties of four not a party of eight which explain to the hose. He's extremely rude and said that we were a large party and the gratuity stayed on there. I'm half Korean and grew up eating Korean food. This restaurant is legit, authentic and delicious. They AYCE special is a bargain for under 50 bucks. The meat quality is superb and you can even get all the galbi/short ribs you want, which some places limit. The banchan are tasty too. Also comes with soup, Korean steamed eggs and few salads. Especially worth noting is that the marinated meats aren't too sweet like many places. You can still taste the beef! The waitresses cook all your meat for you too, to ensure everything is done right. All you do is sit back, relax and stuff yourself. I also went for lunch to have the beef tartare bibimbap and it was FANTASTIC. Korean dumplings are well made and delicious too. And they take Rio food comps and you can sign to your room. NB: for some reason you can't sign tip to your room yet (they said they're working though the transfer of hotel ownership) so have cash ready if you plan on charging to your room. read more

The food was definitely good once it was ready, but this place is pretty inadequate in making it clear that it's a "cook at your table" Korean BBQ spot, and the servers themselves do the grilling. Problem is, for a party of five, it took nearly 45 minutes for all our dishes to be prepared on the grill in the center of the table, leaving some to awkwardly watch while others (ravenously hungry) began eating. This also created a big time crunch, as we were supposed to see a show that started about ten minutes before the final entree was finished grilling. That said, this is in no way a critique of the serving staff. Honestly, this seems like one of the worst restaurant gigs in can imagine, having to awkwardly lean over a table of people and cook their food while they either talk as though you're not there, or sit awkwardly watching it all slowly happen. I hope they're paid like crazy, but I wouldn't hold my breath. Anyways, again, the food was very good! But definitely feels like they thought "how can we get the Benihana experience without dishing out for a big grill bar setup?" Menus were given. We opted for the AYCE. It is VERY limited on the meat selection. If you choose a la carte each item is close to the AYCE pricing. It did come with alot of banchan which I loved. My son was in love with the japchae as this was his first time trying KBBQ. The quality of the meat was excellent. Everything was very well put together. Now I will admit, I eat alot of KBBQ. This experience was different than my others as the servers come by and randomly start cooking the food for you while you are sitting there. So if you are not used to that, please take heed. If you want extra items they will oblige. The interior is quite large with several booth arrangements along with a special room for larger parties. Everything was very clean. Staff were very courteous and hospitable making sure my table was very well taken care of. Music was playing in the background. Would recommend - pricing in my opinion was high. My husband and I came here after having a long day. This was not our first rodeo at a KBBQ but it was a lovely experience. When we walked in, we were expecting a hefty wait time since it was a Saturday night. They showed us the menus and sat us immediately. I did the AYCE option and the best meats to me were the cube steak which was extremely tender and pork belly. Side dishes are unlimited and also packed with flavor. I'm used to a KBBQ experience where we grill our own meat but the server (being the only one working at that hour) was cooking for each table! His wife also works as a waitress and she was super nice but the old man manager (perhaps his dad?) and the jerk needs to get FIRED.
