This place is a joke! We ordered goat Karahi that had so much red chili that with first bite our mouth was on fire. The meat was very tough, it was not cooked right, the dish had no taste as if they boiled the meat and mixed it in bunch of very strong spices and lot of hot chili. When asked the waiter about the meat being so tough, he said he will get it fixed, five minutes later he brought back the dish which was only fire hot and nothing was done to cook the meat further. Chicken kabob had so much red chili that we were not able to eat it. The chick peas dish was completely bland with no taste what so ever. The food was prepared with no passion, care or keeping the customer in mind, it was horrible. When informed the owner while paying the bill he was very defensive, rude and plain nasty and called us racist and other names instead of taking our feedback to improve for the next customer. The food for two people costed us almost $50 which was a total waste of money and gave us so much heartburn and trips to washroom. Great food & excellent service. I tried a lot of dishes here, including kababs, nihari, naan, curries, etc. It's a hidden gem yet to be explored by many. I am a big foodie and explored many restaurants in the Bay Area and worldwide. This is one of my favorite Pakistani/Indian go-to places. The recipes are authentic, and the food is very flavorful. One more thing I liked about the restaurant is that they take feedback in a very constructive way. I read other reviews, and the way the owner responded to the comments is commendable. It's too bad that this place has decent food and I've gotten food here many times. But today must have been the stupidest conversation I've had on the phone with any restaurant. I ordered from doordash and specifically noted my requests on chutneys and utensils. None were included when the food were delivered. Heck not even a napkin. I called them about it and in short they told me that I could use the naan as a spoon and chutneys are not included in the orders as complementary (they charge for it) like 99.99% of the Indian restaurants in the bay area. Clearly has no common sense customer service. They instructed me to double note it next time because opting for it on the app is not enough. What a lame excuse of a business. Looking at the reviews, i badly wanted to try their biryani. But when i called them, they were out of biryani and had to go for Szechuan fried rice. And it was not even average, they used frozen mixed vegetables along with large chunks of ginger. Very bad taste, avoid info chinese here. We tried the chicken boti kebab. The taste was good but I am pretty sure they use food color in the kebab. The achari chicken was a disappointment. I enjoyed it; it has a hint spice but nothing overwhelming. I also got a side of rice and an order of garlic naan. Everything was enough to share! I also got a mango lassi, which was delicious. Other members of my party ordered some different dishes, and they were happy with their selections as well. As you may expect from the Bay Area, the price is a bit high. I tried the Chicken Karahi dish here and it was delicious. It costed only $11 which made it a good deal. However, what they get you for in this place is for the rice, naan and raita. I paid $3 for the rice which isn't that much money. But, I expected that to be enough for my entire meal. In fact, what the person at the register told me was that the rice order will be sufficient for the meal. It was not. When I saw them about it they said what people usually do is get an order of naan along with the rice and then it would be enough! If I got a second order of rice, that would push my total bill closer to $20 after taxes. I simply took the rest of my dish home. What some Indian restaurants do is they include the rice with the meal. That seems like a much more sensible arrangement. The best way to eat in here is to bring your own rice. Yummmm!!!! Can't tell you how long I've been looking for a solid Pakistani restaurant in the Bay area!!!! I think I've finally found it. While they don't exclusively serve Pakistani dishes, there's a good selection - e.g. the chicken karahi and some of the tandoori dishes. The menu spans Pakistani, Indian, and Hakka style meals. We got the biryani, chicken tikka masala, beef seekh kabab, and butter naan. Everything was delicious. Chicken tikka masala gravy was well flavoured and the chicken chunks were pretty juicy. Biryani was flavoured well but it had a LOT more meat than we were expecting. I would try the vegetable pulao next time. But go for chicken if you love meat. I would also say this reminded me more of a dum style biryani, rather than Pakistani style, but still good. I really liked the seasoning on the beef kabob. You need a couple of pieces to make it into a solid meal but it's a great appetizer or side. Oh!! And there's free chai. I was tempted to try the mango lassi but opted not to when I saw the chai. And as a huge plus, it's unsweetened with sugar on the side, so you can customize it however you like. Prices are very reasonable. Can't wait to go again. read more

Highly recommend One of the best chicken seekh kebab, malai boti kebab and chicken curries I have had in Bay Area. Meat is always so rightly cooked to leave it tender and juicy with great flavors- not too strong or light. Terrible service, mediocre food, weird vibe inside. I walk in and there are only men in the building, staring at me like I was out of place. Maybe they don't have many American women patronize the business? Would make sense after my interaction. I ordered ahead online and when I went to pick it up the guys were very rude. There were two of them behind the counter. I told one guy I have an online order and he said to talk to the other guy. Why couldn't the first guy do it? I repeated the name for my order multiple times and the guy acted like he couldn't understand. I showed him the order and he still acted like I was speaking Greek. After showing the confirmation of the order he acted like I hadn't paid and asked to see bank confirmation. Odd. I showed him the paid receipt and he finally got my order. I was the only one sitting on the counter. Doesn't make sense why the first guy wouldn't help me and why it was so difficult to match the one online order to my online receipt. Vegetable samosa was good. Plain naan was burnt and dry. Buttered naan was good. Chicken boti kebab was tough, couldn't eat half of it. Chicken tikka masala was good and a little spicy. Baklava was drowning in syrup and lacked flavor, maybe it was old. I tried this place because it was close to my house, but I won't go back. The guy was nice and told me kebabs at that time would take 25 minutes. He told me what was ready right away which was a chicken dish so I went with that one and he had the guy give it to me right away since I was in a hurry due to jury duty.
