I love a good coffee shop that LOVES their costumers. I've been here three times now and it's always been a great experience. The staff is kind and the drinks are amazing. Super cute coffee place in a really convenient location. The staff was super nice, not a long wait, and coffee was deliciousness!! I definitely see myself coming back here in the future! The space is very open and there's a lot of room to sit with friends or do work. The only down part was the sewer smell coming from outside near the gate. Parking lot situation is a big mess. The last thing I want to do when I want to drop in for coffee is worry about if the small number of reserved spots will be taken up or not. If you're thinking about dropping by during prime coffee drinking time, be ready to circle the parking lot a few times or park far away and walk. The person taking my order seemed agitated and annoyed to answer my questions about pricing. Definitely needs some better customer service training. As a small business owner myself, I always start with five stars and subtract for infractions. Minus one stars for terrible parking. Not an issue if you live around the place, but for people who need to park, expect to circle around a few times unless you go during off peak hours. Minus one star for value. The drinks are extremely overpriced for what they are. For $7, they need to step up their service. Minus one star for bad service. It's a normal thing for customers to ask questions. No need to roll your eyes at me. Minus one star for quality. The coffee tasted absolutely awful. I tend to be easier on this kind of stuff as I worked as a barista all through college and I know how things get when its busy. However, this was unacceptable. This barista either had no idea what they were doing or just didn't care. Definitely don't see myself returning to this place any time soon. The decor is nice at first but I'm not here for the decor. Terrible parking, bad coffee, and bad service equals a one star rating. Love finding coffee shops that are aesthetic, great for studying, and have tasty coffee. They have a beautiful interior that makes me want to come back. They also have a wide variety of syrups and substitute milk (!!!). I got the toasted caramel latte and it did not disappoint! We found this coffee shop not too long ago. It's super close to our house and super nice inside so we were very excited for this place but it has let us down every time. Long story short: it's always loud from employees talking and obnoxiously laughing with each other. Something is always wrong with the kitchen and coffee...issues with ordering the wrong items. Baristas are not super knowledgeable with coffee and the worst yet...both times we went the cold brew has caked grounds in the bottom of the pitcher which makes for a muddy cup (picture provided). It has led to disappointment both times. I hope they figure it out because it's so close to us and nice on the inside but it's not going to last long if they don't get their stuff together. read more

Frisco finally came out with a craft coffeeshop that closes late! So I had to make a visit here as soon as I found out about this place. I tried out the white rose iced mocha. It's pretty pricey for a drink ($7), but I enjoyed it. Not too sweet, not too bitter. Most drinks are $7. I just happened to choose something expensive! If you plan on staying here for a while, I recommend getting the tea because you get up to three refills. There's a wide variety of choices for tea. Alcohol is served as well. Breakfast is served all day, and lunch/dinner is also available. I notice there are numerous Indian-Mexican fusion entrees. The indi-tex tacos and the pizza both tasted amazing. Tacos were fresh and juicy. I honestly wanted to order more after finishing them! Pizza tasted very unique. As for the location, it's located right next to an apartment leasing office. I love how there is a dog-friendly outdoor area. Definitely will check it out when the weather gets warm. This coffeeshop is perfect for studying/working. Tables are pretty small, but I love how the place gets a lot of natural light. There are outlets and wifi available. Noise level is low. Music isn't that loud. All in all, I'm happy that a new coffeeshop opened up in Frisco! Will definitely come here more often! read more

I couldn't believe such a nice coffee shop was just walking distance from my place and serving Onyx coffee and loose leaf teas. It has become my favorite coffee shop in Frisco, love the atmosphere, that is big enough for people to work, meet, study, or simply have a nice conversation. Absolutely LOVE the ModBar, beautiful interior design and seating by the bar to talk to the nice baristas. They always make me feel welcomed, know my name and favorite drink. As you would hope with any coffee shop, Karmic Grounds was a great place to get good coffee and do silent work. I got the vanilla latte and it had a strong flavor with the right temperature which I enjoyed. I also enjoyed the ambience of the coffee shop which had light background music and good decoration and seating. I also thought that it was really interesting that the the place had a silent work cube that was sound proof. I am not sure if it was free to use though. I was a regular at Karmic Grounds and I used to love it here, it used to be my go to study spot actually. This was until I received the most blatant disrespectful, unwelcoming customer service I have ever witnessed. My little sister was starving and was about to eat her first meal of the day until an extremely rude employee named Christian kicked us out. Instead of being polite or respectful or reminding us of the policy, he demanded us to leave. When we asked why he was being so rude, he said "TOO BAD!" This resulted in an unpleasant, unnecessary scene and made us feel completely embarrassed to come back. I am still not able to understand why Christian kicked us out of the establishment in such a hostile manner rather than letting us know that no food was allowed in a nice way and that we could come back after. Wont be coming back anytime soon. read more

I needed a comfy patio space for covid-conscious meetings- this place did not disappoint! The patio is large and covered and quite comfy in mornings during the summer. I'm a tea drinker and appreciated the variety of teas available and dairy free milks available to add to the teas. The biggest surprise was the case of gluten free and vegan treats! I almost never order a snack with my tea at coffee places, because of my food allergies. It was so fun to order a gluten free vegan donut! I can't remember the last time I had anything that closely resembled a donut. My coworkers ordered various coffees and all enjoyed. Covid-conscious staff and a roomy indoor lounge for hot afternoons. The coffee storefront is located to the side of the apartment complex- the first time I went here I had to walk around a bit to figure out the place (maybe just an issue unique to my missing sense of direction, lol.) The patio is gated and there was no entrance sign to indicate that's where patrons find their way inside. I've recommended friends here this summer and it's been a hit! read more

Went to this coffee shop with friends on Saturday morning to get some caffeine after breakfast. The decoration and vibes of the place were great, so we expected that they knew what they were doing. Sadly, this place fell far below our expectations. The girl who took our order definitely never worked at a coffee shop before. It seemed like it was her first day on the job or something and she had little to no support from her other co-workers who were there. I don't know why she wasn't trained properly but she couldn't answer basic questions like what "market price" was for each of the pourover coffees they had. She just said "it depends" without any other explanation while the barista standing off to the side just agreed. Ends up that all the pourovers we ordered (4 different kinds) were all the same price ($5) but she decided not to mention that for some reason. -1 star Two of my friends ordered Colombian pourovers and she input them as decaf without asking. She said "oh that's just what we give everyone by default unless they say differently." What kind of coffee shop defaults orders to decaf coffee without asking? After my friend found out that his coffee was going to be decaf, he asked for an espresso shot inside. I thought for sure she would apologize and give him the shot for free, but they still charged him. -1 star Another friend ordered their house blend and she said they were out of the drip but they could do it with a pourover and charge him for the full pourover price. They didn't offer to make more drip coffee or even make him a pourover house blend cup at the drip price. -1 star My friend who ordered last wanted the drip coffee (and more customers popped in while we were waiting) so they decided to make it. It look about 20 minutes and they didn't even close his lid properly when they gave it to him so he ended up spilling some of it. -1 star The one redeeming factor is that the Onyx Coffee Lab beans they use are decent. +1 star read more

This restaurant refused to serve me because I was not wearing a mask. There was maybe 1 other customer in the place. I tried explaining that I have a medical condition and thus exempt from wearing a mask under the Americans with Disabilities Act but the employees simply kept reiterating that "it's company policy." Well, a company policy that violates LAW is not good policy. If I wished to, I could report this violation and they could suffer a very large fine. My friend and I then went across the street to another coffee shop which was PACKED. Only the servers were wearing masks and we enjoyed a couple of hours drinking coffee at an outside table. As we watched nearly nobody go into KG, the coffee shop we were at saw a steady stream of customers. I doubt this place will be open much longer. read more

I came in today to find out, from one of the managers, that they just decided to pull and go with a pre-made menu. They have only been open since February 1st and are already changing the menu? This coffee shop is cute and very aesthetic, however the coffee and food is just "meh". Another point of annoyance was the pastries. I got a croissant and asked them to warm it up. The barista put it in the microwave, but then left it in the microwave another three minutes after it had finished warming up so by the time I got it it was cold. There are designated spots for Karmic grounds but those are so obviously full of apartment residents (designated parking full, but only 3 people in Karmic?). Now the apartment complex has signs that they will tow anyone not registered with the office. Where is a customer to park? First time here. Been wanting to try this place for a while. Finally did and got the cold brew. It's my fav drink. And it was by far the worst cold brew Ive ever had.
