I heard from my neighbor this place makes really delicious Thai food. I have not gotten a chance until now to go search for this place. I tried to call this business 2 times to place a to go order but no one would pick up. I then drove to the address listed on this Yelp page and could not find this business anywhere. It was pretty disappointing. I don't think this business exists in Elgin anymore. :( I'm sad I didn't get to try this place. I was so happy to see Katie's tiny Thai food truck appear last week in Elgin! We have been twice already and will surely be regulars. The prices are very reasonable for the great quality. Don't be afraid to ask Katie to spice it up, too! She makes everything from scratch every day. So far we've tried the eggrolls, potstickers w/ spicy red curry, Chicken fried rice w/ basil (kao pad kapow), Spicy Ginger Chicken (Gai pad king), Neua Yum Nam Tok (waterfall), Chicken pad thai and the Drunken Noodle. The Pad Thai lacked something the first go around so I asked her to not hold back on the flavor the second time and it was GREAT! The sirloin "Waterfall" was full of flavor and had just the right amount of mint. The Drunken Noodle is very spicy and the Ginger Chicken was also a favorite. Katie let me sample a few of her homemade drinks, too. The lychee was sweet and delicious! I look forward to her soups this winter and to the daily specials she would like to start trying. OMG! How have I not found this place before now! This is some of the best Thai food we have had since we traveled to Thailand. I had the Ka Prow and my husband had the Pineapple chicken curry. We got it spicy and be warned...it's Thai Spicy! This is exactly how it would be served in Thailand and we loved it, but if you aren't not used to Thai spicy go mild and build up. We gave this a shot and while the amount of food was enormous for the cost, the only problem we had was when we were asked about spice, I asked for " a little spice" and it was literally so hot, that 98% of the entree went in to the trash, I just couldn't eat it. This coming from someone who loves jalepenos, salsas and peppers - this was just over the top hot. The food is fantastic! I am usually picky about my Thai food but this place is a winner! The lady is the sweetest too and gave us free potsticks samplers. I will be visiting again that's for sure. Sometimes your curiosity has to be sated. Katie WILL make it worth your while. I have now been there several times and have tried the Orange Chicken (Spicy and Non). Both of them were delicious. The potstickers were full of flavor. As for Katie, her passion for cooking and feeding people not only shows in her food, but in her personality as well. My wife and I were driving west down Hwy 290, returning to the Austin area, looked on Yelp and found Katie's Thai food, called in our order and picked it up at their food truck in downtown Elgin 25 minutes later. We had a wonderful conversation with Ruben and Katie, both delightful people. We ended up eating our delicious egg rolls and dumplings right there at their picnic table in front of the food truck, great home made sauces. Based on earlier reviews, we skipped the spicy sauce since my wife doesn't do well with peppers. We both loved the egg rolls and dumplings, reasonably priced too. I also ordered Pad Thai, ate half of it and saved the rest for another meal the next day, generous helping. We all waved goodbye when we left. Thank you Katie and Ruben, good honest folks serving great food at great prices, right there in downtown Elgin. We will eat there again someday! read more

Authentic, flavorful Thai food with incredible service. Katie has a broad menu and can accommodate special requests (veggie). We've had potstickers (crispy and robust), Green curry and pad thai. Definitely on the spicy side, make sure to go by Katie's explanations. Best to call in your order and then go pick up, Katie makes everything to order. Good Thai food is hard to find and excellent almost never happens. Katie's Thai Cuisine is excellent! The yellow and green curry was delicious, but the pineapple fried rice was over-the-top amazing and hot. Katie is very personable and made us feel like we had a custom meal made just for us. Lived here for many years and never had an opportunity to try this little trailer...until now! I ordered Thai pot stickers (3), Thai pineapple curry (7) and the ka pow (11) (medium heat). I also order the passion fruit drink which was very refreshing, probably from a bottle but it was good. So when I place my order, I was told up front on the wait time, 30 minutes. No worries, it's made fresh to order and that's a major plus! I will just call it in next time. I head home with my bags and it smells oh so good...open it all up and just take in the aromas. First up, pot stickers...comes with a small cup of soy sauce. Good flavor with a spicy kick. It's full of meat, not a bunch of veggies...good buy. Next was the ka pow...opened it up and it was beautiful! Great color, lots of chicken and rice and veggies. Fried egg on top was runny and added that little extra. First but and it was more than medium heat, very close to my heat limit but amazing flavor. Next up was the Thai pineapple curry...it comes in 2 separate containers so I got me a bowl to mix it with. First bite, kind of lackluster. Didn't have the same flavor punch as the ka pow. Mostly bamboo shoots and not chicken, this dish is why I didn't give 5 stars. Not much flavor and dull. I've been staying in Elgin with my friend for couple of weeks and I haven't really eaten out around here until I found this place on Yelp. Tried it myself, ordered tofu green curry for my vegetarian friend and spicy chicken rice plate for myself. I also ordered Thai Tea. Excellent with a really good price!
