My husband stopped here yesterday - this is the first time EVER that he has sent me a picture of a place and said "you have to try this place." So, here we are! I had the crispy chicken katsu burger on a delicious bun with all the toppings - fresh onions, wasabi coleslaw, pickles, beefsteak tomato slices, and.katsu sauce - grab a few napkins because you'll need them. The hubster kept it neat and filling with the beef teriyaki and chicken katsu plate. They have bowls, too. Going to try the gyoza and garlic fries next time. Wow...this place is amazing. They make everything fresh so call ahead if you're getting it to go and it'll be ready . I ordered it there and while I was waiting the owner/chef brought out some chicken katsu to try and it was soo good that I got it the next time I came with Bento bowl chicken. We were are the OC Fairgrounds for a running/fitness expo/5K run and decided to stop here to eat before heading home. We are glad we did. We had the Katsu/Teriyaki Chicken Bento and Katsu/Teriyaki Chicken/Teriyaki Beef Bento. At first it didn't look like a lot of food to feed too hungry people but it turned out to be plenty. The presentation of the food was great and the flavors did not disappoint, either. The beef and chicken did not have a lot of fat on them that you might expect at other similar fast food restaurants. Healthy and delicious! Chicken Teriyaki not greasy or fatty, cooked to perfection, never dry, very tender! Been there three times, nothing special, too expensive for what you get and the food is nothing to brag about it. Katsu chicken was ok the first and second time, the last time was burnt and the frying oil was old, it smelled funny plus it was dry and overcooked, beef was very chewy and teriyaki chicken was tasteless. OMG !!! This restaurant is amazing. It is in a small strip mall but don't turn around it's amazing . I ordered the Tori Katsu Burger Deluxe Combo, with Katsu Sauce . It is very clean and organized. The staff is very informative . I love this place the food is very fresh. read more

First visit here. Friendly staff, but man I'm disappointed. Paid extra for fried rice, got steamed white rice instead. Portions: very small for the hefty price tag. Taste: honestly very good flavor, but after my short 3 min drive to work the food was literally not even warm to the touch. Which is shocking, I thought it would stove top hot considering I was the only one waiting for my food and waited about 15-20 minutes for "fast casual" food, thinking they just cooked it. Looked like the owner was around when we stopped by. Everyone was super friendly and amazing service. We ordered the deluxe sandwiches. The quality of the chicken was superb. Juicy and very crunchy. The spicy one was just a bit spicy probably from the sliced jalapeños but I would get it again. Next time I will get just the basic sandwich. I was greeted, given a sample of the yummy chicken katsu and walked out with a chicken katsu plate order (#4). The sauce! WOW! I wish I could get that sauce in a poké bowl! Everything tasted fresh and delicious! The panko crusted chicken was beautifully prepared. It wasn't dripping with oil, smell like reused oil or overly dredged. I like a good Katsu, and I especially like an 8 piece California roll that's 6 bucks, so when I saw this place was about to open I knew I wanted to try it. Called up and ordered by phone, then swung by about 10 minutes later to pick up a #7 combo plate with Chicken Katsu, Chicken Terriyaki and Beef Terriyaki. The Chicken Katsu was perfect, light, crunchy goodness. The Chicken Terriyaki was excellent as well, great grilled taste and good sauce. The Beef Terriyaki, in comparison, was still good but my least favorite as it really didn't add anything to the experience in either taste or presentation, and I found myself wishing I had more of the other two. The Bento comes with a 3 pc of California Roll, rice and salad, but wanted a whole 8 piece roll which is why I ordered the plate and roll on the side. The Plate came with white rice, cole slaw (which is good), and a couple pieces of steamed broccoli which were crisp. The California roll was only ok, nothing special, wish it had some cucumber, it did let me fill up and work through a sushi jones, but not sure if I'd have again. My boyfriend and I finally got to try this place and the food was really delicious. He got the Spicy Tori Katsu Burger Deluxe combo and I got the chicken katsu bento. Both were delicious. The chicken katsu bento came with the katsu (drizzled with katsu sauce), rice, salad and California roll (3pcs). I didn't finish it and for me, I could eat it for 2 meals. The service is amazing too. Came across this little shop during their soft opening and it is amazing! The owners are a great team, including a chef who created all the sauces (katsu sauce, teriyaki, etc.) We tried the chicken katsu and chicken teriyaki with rice and cabbage/broccoli salad side. The katsu was made from scratch and perfectly seasoned and cooked. The teriyaki was made with good quality breast. Both sauces are so delicious! The katsu sauce was incredible and I want a bottle of it. The dressing for the cabbage and broccoli is complex and fresh...Mayo, wasabi, and maybe vinegar for tang.
