Kaya ahi tuna and Hawaii rolls.

This is our favorite sushi in Maui. Been here a few times, the fish is so fresh it melts in your mouth!! The Kaya, Hawaii and Maui rolls are all excellent! Kudos to the chef they are really good and the servings are large.

I had a great dinner from Kaya Sushi at the fantastic Lower H food park. The Hawaiian roll was fresh, the sauce was well-balanced, and why don't more places put cilantro in sushi? It's a perfect compliment! I'll definitely be back on future trips.

Picked up a Maui roll here for dinner one night recently and was so impressed. It's a large portion and so fresh! I love that it still came with ginger and wasabi, despite the food truck set-up. They had a few rolls I found appealing and I'd love to come back to try more! Our order came out quickly and the staff helping us was really nice.

Really good sushi! Came here last year and again this year, and will be back a 2nd time before I leave. Got the kaya roll and Hawaiian. Next I try Maui roll. Nice size portions. Thank you!!

Located in a really cute area with over 10 other food trucks. Picnic benches throughout. Great quality fish and all the prices weren't crazy priced. The sashimi was fantastic!

Rainbow roll. It was good but we liked others better.

I just found my favorite sushi place!!! I had no idea that a food truck in Maui would be so good! There was no line and we wondered if it wasn't any good, but it was also a slower night at the food trucks. We ordered the Rainbow roll, the Ka'anapali, the Volcano roll and the Kaya roll. The Rainbow was good. The fish was fresh and we liked it. The Ka'anapali roll was absolutely delicious!! The sauce and flavors were so, so good. The Volcano roll was super delicious as well. There was tons of crab and sauce on the top and I had a hard time even finding the pieces because it was piled so high. My husband's favorite was the Kaya roll. The poke on the top was such a great addition. Overall we kept dying over the flavors and exclaiming that we wanted to bring our girls here. When we come back to Maui we will definitely be back!!!

I was craving sushi and pleasantly surprised to find the option available in a food truck. It was closed to closing and they were busy. They are at the left end of the food truck lot. I ordered the rainbow roll and spider roll (soft shelled crab). Lots of imitation crab, avocado and cucumber for the California roll base for the rainbow roll. It had ahi, salmon, and hamachi I believe. Order came with soy sauce, pickled ginger, and a good sized dollop of wasabi. Filling, good quality ingredients, and satisfied my craving. I'm glad I went when I did, a few orders after mine they ran out of rice. There was quite a queue of orders before me so it took 23 minutes to get my food. She did quote 20 minutes. My colleagues when to the Thai food truck and got their food much faster and I felt bad they were waiting for me. I even ordered before they did. There are picnic tables there for you to eat. We chose to go back to our hotel.

Sushi super fresh and well made! You can taste the ocean in the fish and the rice is slightly seasoned without being overpowering or nasty. All ingredients taste great. Portions are also quite generous. The rainbow roll was the highlight- tons of high quality fish, accentuated and not covered by the seasoned rice and seaweed. Crab salad in the middle of the roll was refreshingly light. I loved it. Spicy tuna roll was great too but tuna was a bit salty. I liked the overall flavor profile and presentation. Hamachi Kama was perfectly cooked and seasoned, imo could have done without the drizzle of sauce over it because the fish was flavorful enough. (It is fried and not grilled like Kama traditionally is fyi) The people working the truck are super nice too and they always look like they're having a lot of fun. Food is always ready in a flash. Lovely spot! Check them out!

The food truck is located right by our hotel so coming here was convenient, but we were pleasantly surprised at how good our food truck sushi was!! Not going to lie, we were a little hesitant at first, but our food came out fresh and melted in our mouths. So good! We got our food quickly and the ladies in the truck were very kind and answered all of my husband's questions. The truck is located in a little food truck park where there are a bunch of places to go! There are picnic tables and the cutest string lights perfect for a picnic setting. We have gone back multiple times during our stay because we have enjoyed it so much!

We decided to hit the road and find it. Lucky we did! It was open, there was no line. It had a great assortment of rolls and a good number of options for nigiri. We got 4-5 rolls and some nigiri and a poke bowl. It was all freshly made, perfectly rolled and came out at the time told to us, about 15 minutes. We ate it in the car- we didn't notice the ants in the table until after we sat down to wait for about 10 minutes. I followed them on instagram and they posted our order. So cool! We went back one more time during our trip.

We stopped by on a Monday night around 7:30 pm after doing the road to Hana. They had some Whitney Houston and Shakira bumpin, some cute garden lights, and three outdoor picnic tables for diners. We ordered and had to fill up on gas, so we picked up some drinks from the nearby gas station and got back to wait for the food. The server said it would take about 15 minutes, and I think that was pretty accurate. We ended up ordering the following: Salmon Nigiri - 3/5 this was a little bit more salty than I normally expect of my nigiri. Spicy California Roll - 5/5 tasted like a fresh California roll with some spicy mayo on it. It wasn't very spicy though? Mild enough for the non-spice lovers. Tempura Roll - 5/5 this was probably my favorite roll. It was simple yet delicious. You can't ever go wrong with unagi sauce. Smash Roll - 4/5 the smash roll was really good. It had a good, well-rounded taste with the tuna and salmon. This was my husband's favorite roll. If you're feeling like you need some good Asian-American sushi, check out Smash Maui! It's going to hit!

We kept coming back throughout our trip just for the poke and the packaged fruit, especially the strawberries, kiwis, and papayas. It is a convenient 10-minute drive from Ka'anapali, offers plenty of parking, and is surrounded by other great restaurants. We ended up trying a few different types of poke, as well as the poke bowl, which comes with a scoop of rice and your choice of poke. If you visit the Safeway across the street, you have to stop by the meat market for the poke and then head to the deli just to get your rice. Here, however, everything is seamlessly handled at a single counter in one quick stop. The prices are incredibly reasonable, and authentic Hawaiian poke is completely unbeatable compared to what you find on the mainland. Don't forget to sign up for their discount card, which can be used across their various locations, including the ones in Honolulu. We even had a great dollar-off coupon during one of our visits. The cashiers and staff are exceptionally friendly--we absolutely love this location. I think all Foodland location is staffed with nice and friendly people.

However, our recent visit on a date night was far from satisfactory. We made a reservation on OpenTable, but the only available time was 8:45 PM. We arrived promptly at 8:40 PM and waited for 25 minutes before being seated at 9:05 PM. Our table was located at the far end, closest to the old Lahaina luau. Unfortunately, our waiter's demeanor was unfriendly, and we felt rushed, especially considering it was nearing the end of the evening. Despite the initial disappointment, we were eager to try the diverse Asian fusion menu. One dish that caught our attention was "Hapa Ramen," which I ordered due to my hapa heritage. Unfortunately, I gave it a 2/5 rating. The broth lacked flavor, appearing bland and lacking in taste. The noodles were also hard and thicker than usual. The pork was flavorless, and I personally make better ramen. The garlic noodles, recommended by the server, were hard, dry, and salty. (Rating: 3/5) The adobo ribs were satisfactory (Rating: 4/5). The white butterfish was soft, flaky, and delicious (Rating: 4/5). The sweet sake was enjoyable (Rating: 4/5). Overall, our experience at Star Noodle was disappointing. The customer service was subpar, and the quality of the food did not justify the high price. In hindsight, I would have preferred to dine at Joey's Kitchen. In conclusion, Star Noodle is not a restaurant I would recommend. I regret our visit and hope to avoid it in the future. So sad to end our trip on a bad review :(
