Clean place but very unorganized....wouldn't let me add tofu when I offered to pay extra...I was amazed

I've tried several dishes on the menu now and I have to say the teriyaki chicken is really good. The prawns tempura is also delish. The gyoza very tasty....but don't even think about getting anything else. Whenever I've tried to get anything beyond these three items, I have been extremely dissappointed. A word of caution, don't EVER get any of the fried rice dishes...don't even think about it. That is not what fried rice is supposed to be about. read more

Other yelpers have decried this restaurant's inconsistent quality of food, but each member of our 8-person party had a great dinner tonight. The chicken teriyaki plate and bowls were yummy, "happy family" platter was delicious, shrimp and broccoli was fresh and tasty. read more

Food is ok but not out of this world great. They are tight with veggies even when you pay for extra them. The chicken is not consistent. One time we went, it was pretty good. The next two times it tasted like it was frozen and chewy. Not impressed and probably won't return. read more

I am officially a "soda stealer"! Seriously, I pretty much was accused of stealing soda from the water dispenser on the soda machine. The water dispenser had a bit of pink lemonade left over in it which made the water turn color. The owner ran over and grabbed the cup out of my hand (before I could even explain what happened, mind you) and yelled at me stating, "That is NOT water!!!" She then dumped out the contents and told me that she would fill the cup up for me. Everyone in the restaurant was staring at me. I've never felt so embarrassed and humiliated! The owner never smiles, never says "hello" when we greet her. When my husband paid with his debit card he was having a hard time seeing the prompts on the screen (my husband is vision impaired). The owner grabbed his card and just did the transaction for him. She never asked if he wanted help or offered to help...just grabbed the card and proceeded with completing the payment transaction. And then threw/tossed the card back to him. It was very humiliating. We had been coming here for years and think the food is good. However, with this recent experience and the humiliation and disrespect we endured, we will not be coming back. The owner needs to work on her customer service skills and communication skills. There was never any thank you, or an apology or an explanation. A smile, a pleasant conversation, and some respect go a long way. Very sad that this had to happen. The experience could have been handled better with professionalism and courtesy. They just lost two customers.... read more

This place had delicious food and it came out rather quickly. My only problem is I hate ordering off a wall. If I've never been I like to review the whole menu first. When I have to stand in front of them reading the wall I feel like I'm being rushed and taking too long. Other than that we all enjoyed our food. The environment was clean. Prices were low. Didn't even have to ask for a to-go box. The waitress was already on top of it. read more

First time ever ordering here. Long day at work,didn't want to cook,and teenagers requested teriyaki and rice. I ordered the chicken and gyoza (potstickers) and an extra order of gyoza's. Very large portions and fed my two girls and myself. It was sooooo good. Gyoza's were nice and crispy on the outside, and the chicken was perfectly cooked. Loved the dressing that came with the side salad. Very reasonably priced. Will go again! read more

counter help was excessively rude, argumentative and profane. had called in an order to pick up and it was not even in the system. food is only passable, so this event clinches that I will not return to this dive. Additional, bible passages written, by hand, on small whiteboard - given the language from the counter help I am wondering at this dichotomy. would not recommend... read more

The food is good. The staff is friendly. The curious thing is that it is run by Koreans, but there are no Korean dishes on the menu.

I tried this place last night and i will not even go back to give it another try. The food is not on par with other teriyaki spots in town. First of all it comes out way too fast to be fresh cooked food. The portion of the dish with chicken was very small with 2 scoops of rice and a huge salad of nothing but lettuce and a sliver of a carrot. Not at all worth 9 dollars. The chicken was white and dark meat mixed, it was rubbery. The rice smelled overcooked and tasted a bit like it was made in dish water. I looked in the kitchen and was not happy to see uncooked meat in large trays laying out on counters. Even if it was to thaw there is no reason to counter thaw any food item in open air. The owner has chosen to make a statement about his faith by placing signs on the door saying " Closed Sunday for the worship of god" and writing scripture on the dry erase board by the counter. I would be more happy if they made a sing that read "Closed Sunday for sourcing some fresh ingredients" If you are looking for a good place to eat try The place off of exit 14 called Teriyaki Thai. Its worth the extra 7 miles to avoid KC Teriyaki! read more

Good food. To-go or sit down. The dining room isn't fancy, but it's comfortable. If the owner is in, the experience is even better.

Appears to be very clean from the dining room. My order is always correct even when I make special requests! Food is very affordable and pretty big portions. Food taste is about a 3/5. Good for what you pay for. Veggies seem to be fresh! I wish the teriyaki sauce was a little less sweet, but it doesn't stop me from ordering it on the side. Staff is very friendly. I wish the menu was a little bit more descriptive, but I feel it would be easy to ask questions about certain items if I was unsure. read more
