Great sushi spot post mall, the interior is chic and modern, great happy hour as well. Their take on things is a little bit different but I definitely enjoyed the pork belly app that was paired with watermelon, how unexpected ! I have always been a fan of the food. It is fresh, tasty and well prepared. Recently, over my last few meals, the service has been spotty, at best. Food comes out too fast and too slow, without regard to whether it was ordered as an appetizer or entree. It is as if they randomized the entire process. In addition, the wait staff and the front of the house cannot answer a single question. When this opened the food was a 9 and service was an 8. Now, the food is a 8 and the service is a generous 4. Something different for a change of pace from traditional sushi, but expensive. Worth trying but it won't replace our regular sushi spots.

The place is really cute and it was really pleasant to be around people of all ages, younger couples and families throughout the restaurant (as opposed to having all older people in a restaurant, it gets old, literally). The fusion style is interesting and we enjoyed most of our meal. A couple of the rolls were really yummy. I would give them another try. read more

I dont like to comment or complain about pricing because before i ordered i knew how much it was so i dont think it would be fair to review this place based on price but i do have to say that these were the most expensive ribs i have ever paid for lol. HOWEVER.....they were THE BEST ribs i have ever tasted hands down. I believe it was 6 ribs which isn't much but They came with truffle fries that were fried to absolute perfection so the plate is pretty filling. I hate sushi but My wife got the dragon roll and said it was good....just good. she wasn't mind blown from what it seemed but good is good, good it not bad so i guess they were good. read more

Embarrassed!! My daughter and granddaughter came to visit. Since we have been here numerous times I was looking forward to taking them here. After many plates that we shared a wrong order was brought to our table. We ordered two orders of scallop nigiri and received one order of hamachi nigiri. The server apologized left the plate on our table and said he would bring the correct order. A manager, Veronica came to the table asked us to pick up the hamachi and put it on the plate she brought to the table so she could throw it out n the garbage. We came here as a family and had a very nice dinner. It's a modern Japanese sushi place near the Town Center mall. The ambiance is modern and trendy, although the clientele wasn't at the time we arrived (we were there for an early dinner). The food was very good. Everyone enjoyed their specialty sushi, although almost all the specialty rolls contain cream cheese (probably unnecessary). Some of the traditional rolls were also very good. The tuna tataki and salmon tartare were also hits. Service was hit and miss. They forgot a cocktail (or the order didn't go through to the bar), and the soy sauce was slow coming out. Ku uH's dining room with its hard surfaces and brick walls is an acoustic nightmare and even with just a few diners present, the dining room was loud and harsh. The restaurant has a wide open design which gives off the feel of a cafeteria but the large bar breaks up the monotony of the space but it still is an uncomfortable and uninviting dining room. The hard chairs are not designed for languishing or leisure and were as uncomfortable as the dining room. We chose a variety of items and most were okay but what I found troubling was Chicken added to a Fried Rice dish because I'm not sure what it was but it wasn't chicken or at least not fresh chicken. I think it was some processed chicken like product (?) that was disgusting and strange and just wrong to serve. A Yakisoba Noodle dish was pretty good and it had a nice balance of flavors with a surprising kick. An assortment of Nigiri was fine though and was the best item of the night but what was interesting was how limited the sushi menu was. Our waiter was excellent and service from everyone was very good and a good bottle of Sake made the evening enjoyable. read more

This place should be more busy during the day for sure. The wagyu sliders and the honey almond shrimp are amazing. The pieces of sushi are a little on the small side but really fresh and tasty. The drink menu is really good but pricey,... I love the Echigo Sun but I think that you can only get the happy hour at the bar? My husband and I went in during their happy hour time with our son, and we were sat at a table and were not offered a happy hour menu, which... I mean, all of the good sushi places around here have a pretty strong, happy hour for the whole restaurant. Coco especially. I would definitely be coming here much more often. If the happy hour menu was something that was available for the whole restaurant during the happy hour times.... we all need a break every now and then. And it would help to get people to come in.
