Okay, are the staff here even real?? We stopped by Keke's for a late breakfast and I have never, and I repeat, NEVER been greeted and served by a friendlier group of young people! All the hosts, servers and bussers appeared to be in high school still, but they operated like a group of highly experienced professionals. Ohh Keke's...I never really was a fan of this place, but I really wanted breakfast this day and there was no other option around except a Dennys. He's a young adult now and both our schedules clash so it only made sense for our timing. Like all KeKe's this place was very clean. We arrived just before 1:30 and there were barely people there, we missed the breakfast rush. Tables and floors were cleaned and we were seated right away. There were so many good options to have for breakfast/brunch/lunch and I actually had a very hard time deciding what I wanted to eat. They have a good selection of omelettes, pancakes, waffles, eggs, and sandwiches among many other things. One item that really appealed to me was the Florida Pancake - that included bananas, blueberries, and strawberries dusted with powdered sugar. This option was also available on a waffle. However, the Poached Eggs Florentine also appealed to me and in the end, that's what I ordered along with a Hot Chocolate (unfortunately they did not have any whipped cream that day). The Eggs Florentine included an English muffin topped with a tomato, poached egg, hollandaise sauce, and paprika with spinach and home fries. I stopped by Keke's for a weekday breakfast while in town on work. I had the nicest service and it was really quick - which I always appreciate when trying to grab a workday meal! I'd definitely recommend this one. I was really in the mood for a breakfast burrito, and unfortunately they don't really have anything with that Tex-Mex flair on the menu. I figured the two egg wrap was as close as I could get and it was a pretty fair substitute. That said, side of salsa was a $0.50 up-charge, and they don't serve sour cream at all... what. Eh. Kekes is kind of a breakfast staple in the Orlando area (though they're starting to pop up like everywhere in FL lately). I've been to a few different locations, but this one is the best. The service is super fast, the wait is never too long, and the food comes out quickly. As far as menu items go, I personally didn't like the pancakes as they were thick and chewy and I prefer the light and fluffy variety (personal preference really). The french toast though... now that's a whole other level of delicious. It's the best french toast I've had anywhere because the French brioche bread is so soft and yummy. I can't get enough of it. My eggs are always cooked exactly the way I like them. Service is great, the refills and check ins are as frequent as they need to be.
