Times are lean for us celiacs folks, so on the rare occasion I risk life and limb for a small bite to hold me over on a long day off I prefer clarity in the menu. Place is very nice and clean. Server was super polite. It wasn't busy but it took forever to get the food and my waffle was undercooked. I didn't have time to send it back so I ate it. It was good but probably could have been great it cooked correctly. Will come back and try again soon. read more

We're frequent visitors to the Lutz location, so we were thrilled to see this Keke's opening up--it's much closer to where we live! We arrived just in time to be seated quickly, and our waitress came by promptly to take our order. The food arrived in a reasonable amount of time and, as always, was beautifully presented. I ordered the classic French toast, but unfortunately, I had to ask for syrup twice before it was brought to the table. Overall, the service from our waitress was just okay--not quite what we've come to expect. The food quality, though, was consistent with our previous experiences at other Keke's, which we appreciated. The biggest downside for me was how loud the restaurant was--and I mean LOUD. If there are kids nearby talking loudly or crying, it's nearly impossible to have a pleasant conversation. The noise seems amplified, likely because of the hard surfaces like the marble-style floors and tables. Adding some white-noise machines or sound-dampening elements might help. Will we be back? Yes, we'll give this location another try or two to see if things improve. If not, we'll happily stick to the Lutz location. read more

Definitely never going back. We did an online order. It was confirmed the order was ready at 11:15 am. I arrived at 11:20 to pick it up and we didn't get our order till 12:05. The food was cold and order was wrong after waiting an additional 40 minutes. Definitely not coming back. Felt bad for the staff but not worth your money. read more

Overall nice experience and would return. Took a few for servers to address me and felt a little rushed, though was dining alone and this tends to happen. A great place to eat in the Odessa area Keke's Breakfast Cafe was founded in 2006 in Orlando, Florida, by brothers Kevin and Keith Mahen. The name "Keke's" is derived from the first syllables of their names: "Ke" from Kevin and "Ke" from Keith. According to thee restaurant's website, the two brothers "...couldn't find a quality breakfast spot like the one they loved back home in Philadelphia so they started one". There are a lot of locations in Florida and over 20 in the general area of Lutz/Odessa/Tampa. This particular location is on the southeast corner of US 54/Gunn Highway intersection. It has plenty of parking shared with the other stores nearby. I have been to others in this chain and have always been impressed and never disappointed. This met the same expectations. The restaurant is bright and clean. The tables are a mix of booths and tables. You are met in the foyer by a host/hostess who walks you to your table. The menu has a good selection of breakfast items from eggs to french toast to bacon. The server was friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. Prices were reasonable. The quality of food was very good. I tried the french toast and bacon. It came out quickly and was excellent. Overall, it is a great place to get your breakfast in the area. read more

Checked out the new Keke's, closer to home than our usual breakfast spot. Definitely was a disappointment. Food came out lukewarm at best, order was missing parts, and service was slow. Had the restaurant been busy I could understand but it wasn't even half full. Restaurant did seem clean and coffee was on point. Not sure we'll take a chance on a second visit however, can't get past cold food. read more

I just had the most horrible experience I have ever had at a restaurant on New Year's Day at this Keke's location in Starkey Ranch. I had a party of 15 for brunch. I had personally spoken with the owner of this Keke's 2 days prior to New Years Day about coming with my group of 15 at 11:00am. She said that even though Keke's did not take reservations, she would help me by discontinuing to seat people after 10:30am in the section of the restaurant where we could all fit at one table. When I arrived at 10:50am, the section was completely filled with people. I asked to speak to the owner who was in the kitchen. She refused to come out to greet me. Since all 15 of my party had driven all the way to this Keke's location from Westchase and Lutz we were stuck with no place else to go with such short notice for a party our size. We had to wait an entire hour to be seated. Once again, the owner never once came out to apologize and could care less about forgetting her commitment that she had made to me. The hostess told me that the owner never informed her to stop seating in that section at 10:30am. She had just seated multiple tables right before we arrived. When we finally sat down, we had ONE server waiting on a party of 15. She did the best that she could, but our brunch was 2 hours long because of how long it took to get orders taken and food out. Once again... dreadful experience. This Keke's gives the franchise a terrible brand. I will never go to a Keke's again, and I am sure my guests will not as well. I posted this same review on Google. The only thing we can do as consumers when something like this happens is to share our feedback. read more

Ordered the bacon cheeseburger without pickles. Based on prior experience I added that I didn't want the pickle spear with the fries either. I've been there before and they have ignored that request twice over half a dozen visits. I specifically made it clear I didn't want it because I hate the juice flavor getting into the bun and fries. The waitress wrote it down on the order. When my food came I saw the pickle on the plate. Waitress offered to get a new bun. I'm honestly just over this issue. Why bother asking for something if neither the kitchen staff or waitress care enough to get it right. Wait staff is usually really good but I have to put some of this on them for not noticing when they got the plate. I'm not sure where the disconnect comes in but if a patron can't get the food as they asked for it, why bother going. Sad because I really like the food but I don't feel like they care. Today was first time out of many that we weren't even offered refills until the bill came. My empty coffee cup was on the edge of the table for at least 15 minutes and my son had an empty glass for the same amount of time. I heard Metro Dinner is opening nearby. The food here is excellent for the price point. I have eaten in and had take out each twice. I would say the food and atmosphere are somewhat comparable to First Watch, but the coffee is much better. I have only had breakfast food so far, but I am looking forward to trying lunch. The couple times I have eaten in, I have had good service. I am so happy to have this location nearby! read more

Very generic menu. They don't even have biscuits and gravy. Lackluster service, tons of big families so if you're looking for a quiet place to eat breakfast this isn't it. Definitely won't come back but I guess it's alright. Food is just too expensive now to be going to places like this. It feels like a waste of money tbh read more
