    A ROACH

I ordered food here through door dash and I was eating my food and found a roach! Thank God I was paying attention! DO NOT EAT HERE! clearly the kitchen is dirty and y'all don't pay attention to the food you're cooking.

I've thought about eating at Kelley's but honestly the 3 star Yelp rating kept me away. Also the prices seemed a bit steep for what it is. Well today, I decided I'd give them a shot and while I wasn't blown away I'd say I was satisfied. I ordered the Sunday special. It's actually a pretty good deal. For 13.99 you get an entree and three sides. I chose Turkey & dressing and the sides: yams, broccoli & cheese casserole, and green beans. The yams, unfortunately, are still on my plate and will remain there. They're bland and not very good. The casserole was good, rice was thoroughly cooked and broccoli cooked just right as well, cheesy and not bland but also not too salty, green beans were your standard green beans, the turkey and cornbread dressing wasn't the best I've ever had but definitely hit the spot I needed it to hit and is something I'd eat again. I wasn't sure if they'd also included cranberry sauce with my order. They did and that was a nice surprise. The dinner roll was huge and very soft. Cornbread was ok, I guess, but a little plain tasting if flavor is something you're expecting. I'd say they met my expectations and I'll consider them in the future for possible "after church" or "family dinner" meals when everyone wants homestyle cooking with a variety of options. I'm glad I checked them out today.

Food looked great but was not. It was very bland and only thing going for it was the portion. We had the country boy breakfast and the chicken fried steak. The hash browns had no flavor. The sides: corn (no flavor, mushy); green beans (no flavor); macaroni and cheese (pasta overcooked with a pre- made cheese sauce); okra (actually tasty). Service was slow and left us with a feeling of uncertainty of what was happening next. Place is very clean though.

I was visiting my family in Pearland and my sister wanted to take me to breakfast . She said she is always treated well at Kelly's so off we went. Shelley came over and greeted my sister to see how she was doing and to let her know to reach out to her if she needed anything. My sister ordered the French toast short stack with crispy bacon. I ordered the "Smackin' Good". The portions were gigantic! I couldn't finish the Smackin' Good. The sausage gravy and biscuit was very tasty. My sister said she loves her cinnamon raisin French toast. All in all the breakfast was very satisfying.

I've heard of this place by word of mouth, but it never popped up on my radar when I was in search of food until today. I have to admit I was pleasantly surprised !! The portion sizes were enormous, and the price was just right. Everything on the menu sounded so good, fish, shrimp, burgers, you name it. Then I spotted one of my southern favorites, fried green tomatoes. Nothing fancy, but seasoned and fried perfectly, then served along the side of some ranch dressing. Yummy! The rolls were big and soft. However, the cornbread was ok, just a little too dry and dense for my liking. Now, my huge baked potato with fried chicken and all the fixings, OMG, I was in heaven. The hot potato with butter, cheese, bacon, chives, and topped with lightly breaded and crispy chicken was delicious. My friend ordered the breakfast tacos, one bacon, and one sausage, said it was very tasty and too big for one sitting. Let me not fail to mention that the meals were brought out HOT! There's nothing like enjoying a nice hot meal when eating out. The lemonade was fresh, ice cold, and tasted homemade. Service was excellent, and the atmosphere was causal and family-friendly. Don't skip this hidden gem when you're ready for a nice southern, homestyle cooked meal.

We had the cutest bartender and my hubby was impressed with how she made his Old-fashion. So much so, he ordered two. Ambiance is coastal themed. Cheese curds are great and they are on the happy hr menu so you can get them for $5. We ordered fish and chips & coconut shrimp w/onion rings. Our best bite was the cheese curds. The food was okay nothing really stood out. I tried the brown butter scallops, and they just tasted like oily scallops. Not too much flavor, but they were cooked nicely. I also tried their avocado tuna taco, and those were a bit weird. The flavors and texture weren't it for me. The inside was kind of mushy, but it did have a hint of yuzu sauce, which made it tolerable. Next, I tried the gumbo with cornbread, and the cornbread with the gumbo was a game changer. It definitely kicked it up a notch. The gumbo didn't have very strong flavors like other gumbos, but I still enjoyed it. Then I tried the fish and chips. The fish was cooked crispy to my liking, and the portion size was decent. However, the fries were a bit too hard and tasted a little stale. The oysters were the last thing I tried and they were pretty decent my favorite was the easy coasts ones. My only complaint with them were the shell some pieces of shell ended up in the meat portion. The service was great too and they have happy hour.

The place was packed and there was a line of people waiting - I knew that was a good sign! The line moved fast and the staff were like worker bees - everybody getting the tables cleaned, people seated and orders taken with in minutes of sitting down. Mary the Manager never missed a beat - she was making it all happen and made it look effortless - with a smile on her face. Our server SAL was top notch, explained everything on the menu that I drilled him about - really painted a picture of what the items was all about, helped me with making a selection! Give that kid a Gold Star - he is my server for life at Red OAK. He took care of us with a smile and quick service, what a shining star they got when they hired him! Now for the food - mercy is all I can say - the biscuits were out of this world - flaky, fluffy and fabulous! I got the Breakfast special and everything on the plate was perfect - the bacon was nice and crisp, hash browns were golden and egg really over easy - cooked to perfection. THE Pancakes - eyes rolling back in head - the biggest, fluffy golden brown things you have every seen and the syrup came in a glass carafe that warm syrup was an extra special touch. The coffee was their own brand and the flavors were Pecan and Cinnamon, very smooth, and very hot and refilled often. Do yourself a favor and go to Red Oak Cafe in League City on Main Street and ask for Sal and get ready for a great expericence and excellent food and service! I live in Woodlands Tx and will drive 60 miles again to eat at this place!

The food tasted okay, but it definitely lacked spices and in my opinion needs some TLC. One menu item that caught my attention was the Grown-Up Grilled Cheese: three types of cheeses, Granny Smith apple slices, bacon slices, and sourdough bread. Now I thought that the apple slices come on the side right? Nope, they were cooked in the sandwich. I don't know who came up with the concept of adding the apples into the sandwich, but whatever; I've tasted weirder things. Still, the sandwich didn't taste bad; that's just a weird concept in my opinion. The worst part of our service was the server. She didn't exactly introduce herself, but she did ask how we were with an apathetic tone. Like I said, she didn't tell us her name. Only way I can describe her is she wore eyeliner, red lipstick, and her blonde hair in a clip. During our visit to the restaurant, she just seemed like she hated her job and was emotionally constipated. When I wanted to substitute a side order of white chicken chili with the Grown-Up grilled cheese (I knew there would be an upcharge), she told me in a somewhat aggravated voice that there would be an upcharge. I told her calmly that I understood as the menu had specified. The only time she came by was to ask if we were done with our plates or needed a coffee refill, but not on how the food tasted. But yes, our server was probably the worst part of our visit. I've met Russians who were less cold than our server. I probably won't return unless the server gets an attitude adjustment or just leaves.

This isn't a shiny, soulless concept bar with Edison bulbs and a marketing team. It's a neighborhood joint that understands the fundamentals: cold beer, poured correctly; food that knows what it is; prices that don't insult you; and a staff that actually gives a damn. Let's talk beer first, because they clearly do. The draft list is deep and thoughtful--enough variety to satisfy the hop-chasers, the lager loyalists, and the folks who just want something cold and honest after a long day. And yes, they know how to pour a proper Guinness. Settle time. Correct head. No shortcuts. That alone tells you everything you need to know about their priorities. The menu doesn't try to reinvent the wheel or lecture you about provenance. It's bar food done with intention. The street tacos are the kind you order expecting "good enough" and end up wishing you'd ordered two more. Balanced, flavorful, no unnecessary nonsense. The fried cod special? Exactly what it should be--hot, crisp, flaky inside, and served without ego. Comfort food that respects the eater. Prices are fair. Refreshingly fair. The kind of prices that make you relax, order another round, maybe stay longer than planned. That's not an accident--it's hospitality. This is the kind of place that reminds you why local bars matter. Why it's worth skipping the chain down the road and driving a little further for something real. 2 Ways Draught & Kitchen isn't trying to be famous. It's just trying to be good. And that's why it is. I had the following kolaches today: ranchero, chicken enchilada and I also ordered a strawberry fruit kolache and cinnamon roll to satisfy the sweet tooth I'll probably have later. Man I have been bad about the carbs and sugar lately but the holidays and we only live once, right? Shoot bring out that sugary, bready goodness! I'm here for it. The ranchero and chicken enchilada kolaches were perfect. The bread is always so soft and fluffy. Ingredients fresh and well seasoned. The drive thru service was swift and the gentleman who helped me was very pleasant and kind. He even offered me a pup cup for my fur child who was with me. NOTE: They do offer free pup cups. I also ordered a regular hot small latte. No flavored syrup just plain. They do have all of the classic options however: vanilla, caramel and mocha. You can also get them iced which is what I typically prefer but I went with hot today. The Kolache Factory was a wonderful treat for me today. Welcome to East Pearland! We're so happy to have you!
