We Also split a strawberry rhubarb kolache and a butterscotch bourbon salt cookie. Everything was great. The Klobasneck was so big I could have shared it. The dough was light and it was topped with an everything seasoning. We didn't have room for the Kolache so we got a bag and took it and the cookie home. Kendall's is such a refreshing improvement over its predecessor Charlie's Best Bread. Kendall's is nice decorated, has delicious stuffed breakfast sandwiches, kolache (similar to danish), and other treats I'm looking forward to trying! I did not know we had someone take over Charlie's Best Bread location, but how exciting that Kendall's Kitchen has filled that space! Everyone here is beyond nice and really is creating a sense of community. The space is gorgeous and I can't wait to see what it looks like over the next couple of months. It already feels like a great space to get work done or catch up with friends. Okay, aside from that I did get to try a Kolache and it was amazing. The dough was soft and pillowy and the apple pie filling wasn't overly sweet, it made me want to try all of the different types they have. Maybe we start making kolache samplings a thing? I visited this spot a few times when it was Charlie's Best Bread. It was ok. Now it's Kendall's Kitchen. Chocolate chip oatmeal cookie was interesting. I love oatmeal cookies with raisins. The oatmeal cookie part was really good. The chocolate chips were plentiful and made this cookie very sweet. Good cookie but I prefer a traditional oatmeal cookie. Challah bread had a fresh baked aroma and was very soft. I liked the egg flavor. Very good bread. Maybe a bit better than Charlie's. Very pricey at $18 when Ralphs has it for under $10. Staff was very nice. I guess if Kendall's Kitchen had the best tasting bread in town I'd be willing to pay $18 but it's not. read more

Kendall's Kitchen is a new bakery that has opened in the Pacific Plaza of PB where a long-standing popular bread business used to be located. They are in a soft opening phase with a full debut to occur the middle of next month. The suite was very large, and the owners plan to expand further into the next door space to the south. Right now, there's no inside seating available, but that will change with the expansion. The menu was currently limited to kolaches, klobasneks, cookies, and cinnamon rolls for baked goods. Two display racks had baguettes and bread loaves for sale. Drip and specialty coffees were available for beverages. The vision is to become a local provider of baked products from around the world. Kolaches are Czech-based sweet yeast breads filled with a fruit or sweet cheese filling. Klobasneks are pretty much the same dough but with a savory filling. Behind the bar countertop were signs that showed ten varieties of each type. Not all of the kolaches and klobasneks were available as only select flavors could be purchased at the time of my visit. A strawberry rhubarb kolache and a sausage, egg, and cheese klobasnek made up my order. A creamy frosting adorned the kolache which was quite sweet. I definitely preferred the savory klobasnek which had sesame seeds added to the exterior of the dough. At $9, it was more than double the cost of the kolache which was priced at $4. I am looking forward to seeing how the business evolves as the neighborhood features some high quality bakery competition. More beverage choices, a wider line of baked goods, and indoor seating will be the baseline expectation. For now, I gave a four star rating to Kendall's Kitchen. read more

Wholly crap their chocolate chip cookies are legit the best I have ever EVER had. They come warm from the heater and they aren't too sweet or too squishy. The perfect amount of poof, crisp and salty sweet. Incredible. The sourdough is also pretty tasty. My kids love the cinnamon centers as well. I walk by Kendall's kitchen almost every day. Since my boyfriend and eyes favorite breakfast shop closed down the street. I suggested we come here for a breakfast sandwich. To my surprise, they're not actually sandwiches but very delicious kolaches! I ordered the sausage, egg and cheese. Well, my boyfriend ordered the combo - sausage, bacon, egg, and cheese. The outer breading was so yummy with a slightly sweet lemon zest to it. The filling was very cheesy and I was pleasantly surprised! All in all that one item was a very filling, and I was super happy that we tried it. The space is large and I even opened up the additional shop next-door for seating. Just tried this newer spot on a whim after dropping off a package at the UPS store, and so glad I did! The service was so nice and personal, and you could tell they really care about the food they make. I went in the afternoon, but really wanted to try one or their breakfast klobasneks (a savory filled pastry), and they very kindly made me one. It was so tasty and portion-wise was big enough that I saved about half for breakfast the next day. The woman at the front also recommended the chocolate chip cookie and I couldn't resist after she described how good they are. She was not wrong! It was somehow both lightly crisp on the outside and gooey and warm on the inside, with a hint of salt. I meant to save half to bring home to my partner to try, but I ate the whole thing it was so good. Very excited to come back and try all of their delicious looking food! read more

Outstanding! The coffee was fabulous, (recommend by the cashier) a searing hot vanilla latte with oat milk was the perfect taste, not too sweet and not too bitter. Paired with their kolache bread, Challah bread and cinnamon, and chocolate bread which are to die for!!! It was amazing that I ate half of the loaf on my way home! LOL The staff are such darlings. Not only did they help to pick my non-dairy selection but also when it was time to pay and I wanted to leave a tip they wouldn't accept it. Aside from that, their signature pastries the kaloche I believe it's called is very tasty, but pretty expensive for such a small pastry and the fact that it's basically the only thing they have to offer, aside from their tiny cookies, makes it a bit unattractive to return. I would've just hoped that it would be a nicer ambience and vibe, and just more of a selection overall. I think they need to vamp up the menu and please, turn on the AC! read more

I failed. The shop is so welcoming. The young woman behind the counter was so patient and kind explaining the all the lunch and breakfast items. The mix of baked goodies was just the right amount to provide a decent variety of choice without being too overwhelming. I left with a Cubano klobasnek (sandwich) And a no-alcohol bourbon cookie that I'm saving for my afternoon coffee break (SO EXCITED). Cannot wait to hit their morning happy hour later this week! Very disappointed. The bakery here before was one of the best. The bakery part of this Kendalls place is mediocre at best and over priced. I special ordered a bread. I did not mind that the price was exorbitant for a baked bread, but it honestly almost tasted spoiled. Trader Joes has the same break for half the price and the taste is amazing.
