KFC is KFC still good but..... I still make my fried chicken at home I only get it when really don't want to cook biscuits are my favorite

I first went to the KFC on Longport Ct (off of Harbour Point) to pick up some Grilled chicken with my "Oprah" coupon back in May 2009. After waiting in line, I was told that the coupons were not being honored, and that I needed to send away to KCF headquarters for a new coupon. Apparently this was not this particular KFC's fault, but part of a global policy put into place shortly after they made the startling realization that when you offer free chicken on TV, that lots of people will show up for it. Now I would understand that if they just couldn't kill chickens fast enough, some type of rationing would have to be put into place. But no, they had plenty of grilled chicken, they were just trying to put the paying customers ahead of the freeloaders. So I went home hungry and slightly irritated. Note to corporate: Irritated and hungry customers is not part a sustainable business model for a restaurant chain. Several months later, I returned with my new coupon, and with the whole family, for chicken, both free and paid for. The grilled chicken was quite good; with that sort of slightly burnt taste reminiscent of a real barbecue. I assume the point of free chicken was to get us to try it and return for more, but the restaurant itself scotched the plan, by its service and dining environment. Operations behind the counter seemed disorganized and confused. My order was communicated orally to at least two other people, who then appeared uncertain about which one was responsible for what part. Skeptical that my side-order substitution of macaroni and cheese would be correctly filled, I repeated it, which seemed only to add to the confusion, as they tried to determine what parts of which meal had already been put on the plate. The cashier had no change for a $20, and I had to wait several minutes while yet another employee went to find some change. At this point, the wife and kids were getting hungry and irritated, which as I've explained before is not a mark of food service success. Getting to my table we discovered that there was no macaroni and cheese. Calling the server's attention to this matter should have produced both an apology and a prompt redress. I got neither, and instead ended up having to argue over whether or not I might have overlooked a bright orange side dish on my plate. And then we found that we had not been given our drink cup. Now I can only wonder what sort of screwing we would have gotten at the drive-thru. The booth seats were sticky, and the tables coated with some kind of film suggesting a cursory cleaning attempt. The retro light fixtures intended to contribute to the atmosphere had instead collected hundreds of dead flies. The jukebox didn't work. In all, this restaurant had the look and attitude of an off-freeway travel stop. It would not have been out of place in Santa Nella or Buttonwillow, where hungry travellers will settle for food that is edible and a seat that is horizontal. It is pretty close to a freeway, but the clientele is going to be more of a commuter than a traveller. Commuters to Elk Grove looking to pick up something quick can do much better with a bag of chicken strips from Safeway or Bel Air. And for a family outing, Chick-Fil-A at Bond and 99 is a far better choice. read more

Do not go to this KFC totally mismanaged it is giving KFC a bad name . It does and train it's employees and is unorganized . Do not go in the drive thou at dinner time or you will be waiting a long time I have been trapped for over 30 mins and If you go in side you will see way total chaos . read more

KFC is not like other fast food restaurants. they can't throw together a meal in three minutes like McDonalds or Taco Bell. I use to work at a KFC in Stockton so I know, first hand, that it is not as easy. There is a limit to how much chicken the restaurant can have at a time. If they cook an unlimited amount then the chicken would obviously go bad. This is the reason why those of you who go and ask for a specific and/or complicated order, like a grilled breast or a 20 piece grilled meal, may not have it. Must take in the fact that there are other customers than you. If someone in front of you orders a 10 piece dark meat grilled bucket, and then you're getting your order taken and ask for dark meat in grilled, they are likely not to have it because the customer before you bought it out. I visited the store a few weeks back and Alyssa took my order and she was perfect. She didn't rush me and she was super helpful with the specials and my other questions. I've also ordered inside and the young man, Brenden, that packed my order had it ready for me before I even finished paying! You can also call in a big order so your meal is guaranteed. You can call the store, ask to make an order, tell them what you want and what time you want to pick it up. That way, you beat the line, get exactly what you want, it'll be fresh and there should be no issues. I've done this a few times and got in, out and was happy. I will continue business at this location and every KFC location. read more

Two stars for the service. I ordered two combo plates, one which was a three wing combo. My order was called and my three wing combo turned into a two drumsticks and one wing. The server explained they ran out of wings. It would have been nice if she had asked me first if drumsticks were ok as a substitute especially since the price you pay depends on which piece of the bird you get. So I took it anyway because I was hungry. She passed me my tray with one set of utensils. Hello, I ordered two plates so I need two packs of utensils. And they are stingy with the napkins too - just two pieces. read more

Last time I was at KFC was at another location and I had a bad experience. I decided to give it another chance at another location. Food is what you expect from KFC, nothing out of the ordinary. This place is filthy!!! Tables, chairs, windows, floors, booth partitions, signs, light fixtures, bathrooms, OMG!!! The bathrooms!!!! Horrible!!!! Don't they know how to clean???? I really hate to not give a place a second chance however I have given this place 4 times. I was not even wanting them to knock my socks off but just get my order correct and be nice when taking my order. Not to much to ask for ? Well it is for this place . The experience of the drive thru was awful and then going inside was even worse. With 4 times of bad service and my order never being correct once I will make the drive to another location further away. Hadn't been here in awhile & my hubby suggested it today...he stopped in around 4:30 pm & ordered the $20 family deal & for me a famous bowl....well in the $20 deal, the rolls were hard & gravy a little short in one container....but the 'famous bowl' was a real disappointment...the bowl was barely 1/2 full & with only a few small bites of chicken & slight gravy...really felt ripped off... read more

Went back to this KFC for some chicken so I can feed my friends while watching the SF Giants game on October 28. My previous experience didn't go well but this time it was better. The male behind the cash register was really nice and respectful. He addressed me properly and went over my order when the food was ready. This time the chicken was much better than the previous experience. I got the 8 piece, 6 tenders, large mash, large slaw, and 4 biscuits meal. I decided to get extra crispy in hoping it wouldn't be soggy on the outside. When I got home it was crispy and the chicken was hotter than warm. It was an improvement from the last time. read more

I would give this place a zero star because this KFC is terrible. We went there at 830pm and order 3 fill up meals and a famous bowl. After About 10 minuets waiting at the window the guy came to the window and said we cant give you your famous bowl cause we don't have what it needs to make it. 15 minutes later we were given our meals and when we arrived home, they gave us all mac n cheese as sides and I figured they had no mashed potatoes because the bowl wasn't able to be made but why not ask us if we want another side? By the way, our side bowl containers weren't even filled, we had about three bite worth. My chicken tenders were extremely over cooked, very dry, gross and I threw them away. The cookie was hard as a rock, I could literally hurt someone with it. The only good thing about this service this time is that it confirmed for us we won't be going back. read more

I'm updating my review. If I could give negative stars I would. After my 1st review a manager asked me to send him my address so they could send me a complimentary meal. I was pleased with this response. But after months and months and a follow up email, I received no such thing. **If you're going to be closed before 9:50 PM then put your hours as that time. I would not say you're open until 10 PM and not be open until 10 PM. That makes no sense. And it waste peoples time and gas coming to a restaurant that's closed before their posted hours. read more

Filthy behind the counter. Stood at register for five minutes without even being acknowledged. 4 employees working that could care less about customer service. Restaurant was empty except for 1 person who said he had been waiting over 10 minutes for his food. Girl with brown hair and blonde ponytail( bad dye job) finally came to counter. Asked what I wanted took my money n walked away. Finally she put my food on counter n walked away without saying anything. I asked for ketchup which she returned, threw it in the bag, didn't say a word n walked away. Why would anyone have her working in customer service?? Never again. Every single time I go here there's something that they discourage me from getting. I'm not sure if its because they don't like making it, or if it just requires more effort on their part. For example, I'll order chili cheese fries and they'll say "Are you sure you want that? It's going to be an extra 5 minutes for something those." They are also out of certain items a lot. read more

Service is just horrible. The wait time is ridiculous. Today I came to the drive thru and it took them 30mins just taken my order and when I get up there I was told to pull to the front and my order will be ready in 10 mins. Went here this past sunday. It was slow order two buckets of original. Got one original one grilled. Went back the manager told me i ordered grilled. I told him i couldn't find my receipt. He said that's because we don't give a receipt unless you ask because we are conserving resources. He then gave me someone elses receipt so i could make a complaint. Customers are a bother the cashier ignores you the manager blames you and the other employees slam chicken did i mention there is no regional manager and corporate can't call you just send coupons. They insisted on charging me more than the menu price because they claim the computer was updated and they didn't get new menu boards. I don't care about that. It's illegal to charge more than your advertised price. The clerk and a person claiming to be a manager said they couldn't override the computer. They finally took the overcharge out of the till and handed me cash after making me pay the computer price. I'll be sending a photo of my receipt and menu board to the State and BBB. Worst customer service ever...and it's always been that way at this location. On my most recent visit the employee forgot my drinks with my meal at the drive thru and upon receiving them they were watered down without much flavor. Never going here again read more

This place is super slow. I've been waiting 15 minutes for my 2 piece meal. It's like this every time I come here.

Unless you have 20 min or so to wait for your chicken dont go here. Its definetly not fast food. Also we ordered ice cream a polar swirl paid $4.00 each for them and only got 3/4 of the cup full. What a rip off. No wonder we dont go to this place. Never again read more

I only have one question how can you be in the business of selling chicken and run out of the half of the chicken that you sell the most. It' amazing me that this particular Kentucky Fried Chicken did not have any white meat whatsoever at 8 o'clock at night yeah you close in 2 hours but what about the rest of your public I'll never go there to eat again. Would give zero stars if that were an option. Ordered our food at 7:11 pm and did not get our order until 7:39. That was after it sat on the counter for almost 10 mins waiting for them to make a hot fudge sundae to go with our order. When they called my son's name for our order, the girl just asked if we wanted any sauce. Didn't even apologize. Other customers were upset as well. And to top it off, our food was cold. Rather a zero star rating. Terrible service. You need to fire Mylesium. If you don't, it'll be your business losing. We knew our food was going to be a few minutes as we pulled up to wait in the front, but not when someone else comes out with a bucket of chicken & a drive thru car passes us by with several others walking out with their order, and we haven't received ours yet. We finally decided to check inside & Mylesium brings us our food after a few mins to the front counter (probably because she saw us walk in). We told her about the bucket taken out by another customer and she actually lied and said it was chicken tenders. I have never seen a bucket of chicken tenders ever. Before we walked away, she had already turned her attention to one of her friends who came in, and said "anyways" as she turned toward him. RUDE!! Do not eat here. Overly salted fried chicken and biscuits are nothing special, not fluffy at all. Ordered the mixed 8 piece chicken meal with 2 large sides and 4 biscuits. Sides were mashed potatoes w/ gravy and Mac N Cheese. I was most impressed with the Mac N Cheese. I'll never come back to this location. Not impressed! read more

so i have been wanting to clear the air on this particular location. Alot of reviews were written some good alot bad. and with good reason the past manager was very understaffed and employes were not trained right. although there is hope for kfc lol they have undergone new management and the manager has her own kfc named after her she is well qualified. all problems were fixed. they are fully staffed and trained. how do i know so much i am a employee and was hired as one of the new staff members, i have been here for two months and things are great so any complaints before april were noted. please come and feast we so many regulars and would love to have more. :) read more

Wow! SERVICE IS A JOKE HERE. Employees not paying attention to customers. Example, I was waiting in line along with another guy and elderly lady and it took several minutes to acknowledge us. The elderly lady had a couple of questions and the employee obviously seemed annoyed because we were taking away from the employee gathering in the back. My ordering experience was rushed and I had to ask for a receipt a couple of times to ensure my order was correct. After the first two customers finally getting their order, I sat for another 5 minutes while my order sat on the counter without anyone notifying me it was ready. When I asked if my order was ready they seemed annoyed AGAIN. Once I was home I noticed my order was missing some items (3 chicken littles) for my kids. Also, the biscuits were raw and doughy. I live 20 minutes away and tried to call the number on the receipt, of course there was no answer. I know it's fast food, all I ask is some level of service. TERRIBLE AT BEST! read more

Absolutely horrible! Went here twice just to get ice cream. First time the machine was off and they had no cones. Second time they made us wait for 20 minutes and still did not get any ice cream! Horrible service. Went to Wendy's across the road and got a frosty in 3 minutes. THIS PLACE IS TERRIBLE!!! June 23rd ordered (drive through) fill up box$5, 12 p tender meal $23.49 (per order board) get to the window, and the total was $32.31.. I took a pic of the order board as I knew the total was wrong.. get the receipt and it says 12p tender meal is $24.99. YES, it's only $1.50 difference, BUT how many people have they bilked for $1.50? We asked for the manager because the window cashier said "um, I don't know it's $24.99 for a 12p tender meal" The manager apologized and said he couldn't "give us a discount" but instead give us 3 extra pieces of tenders.. how bout FIXING the order board to reflect correct price if it is $24.99? I called customer service on the 24th of June and they were going to have the district manager call us.. still haven't heard from ANYONE! My son and I drove through today for lunch. The individual taking the order consistently could not get 3 chicken strips correct. Go figure. Upon arriving home with our lunch, I discovered that mine was completely wrong. The cole slaw I ordered and paid for was not there. No chicken strips. I called the manager. They wanted me to drive all the way back and they would fix it. By the way....the wrong chicken I received is so loaded with GREASE....I'm tossing it and writing off the cost of this horrid lunch. read more
