    Wraps and sauces
    Justine K.

I decided to order the chicken wraps. I got the spicy one and the original one. They were both warm and pretty good tasting. I wish that they had slaw in the original one as well. I need to make sure to ask for it next time! The woman in the drive thru window was kind and very prompt. She made sure that I got all of the sauces that I asked for and made sure to give me my receipt. I gave the 4 stars due to the fries being cold. It was sad that they were cold, when they are normally really hot from here.

We stopped here on our way from Yuba River. It was time for a quick lunch and we had skipped breakfast. The area is nothing to write home about. Very industrial, busy, working folks grabbing a bite during their lunch break. We were lucky and got a table inside, were able to quickly order and the food came fast. Enormous portions, very good quality and made with love!

It's open seating and we opted to sit outside, we didn't realize our table (as were all of them) dirty but our waitress noticed and offered to clean to clean it- mind you we were already seated. Another waitress comes by and wipes every bit of crumbs and dirt right onto my lap, irritating. I wiped my lap very obvious and she apologized. My bf ordered a fanta when we were asked about drinks and given about 10 mins to look over the menu. I ordered the Munga Munga (i believe that's the spelling) in burrito form and informed the waitress no feta as I have a dairy allergy. I saw her write it down. My bf again asked for the fanta and she said yes of course. We waited maybe 10-15 mins and out food was out. My bf still didn't have his fanta lol and my burrito came w feta- able to see bc they cut the burrito in half. I noticed right away and they took it back to remake. At this time my bfs fanta comes. Less than 10 mins later I get my refire. This particular omelette was supposed tp have Louisiana hot link sausage but it must've been cut very fine bc I could barely see any meat and there wasn't any flavor to it at all. I added some tobasco and pepper but I'm thinking I should've added salt too. Cool. I ate maybe half of half the burrito and a few bites of hash browns (that also had no flavor) and was ready to go. Less than 4 hrs later I had awful cramps and diarrhea. It's clear they don't take allergies seriously here. My bf ordered chicken fried steak and he said it was delicious tho. Me personally, I'm good on coming back. Food thrown out, they likely cook eggs in butter or mix egg beaters w milk.

I ordered the Papa Burger meal (Fries and a drink), I was in the drive through as I was taking this back to my office. I opened the bag and unwrapped the burger - it smelled funny, but I thought it was a mix of the fries and the burger. I took my first bite; it didn't taste right. I thought I would try a 2nd bite. It too tasted bad. I took the burger apart and the meat smelled rotten; it tasted worse. The meat was old, very old and had a decomposition smell to it, it smelled and tasted rancid. I immediately threw it in the garbage and sent a note to the A & W website (kfclistens). 2 hours has passed and I am feeling sick, I went to the restroom and had to "toss my cookies" After this, I will NEVER eat at this A& W again! I might not even try any other A & W. Please take my advice and avoid the A & W on WestAcre (Off of West Capitol) in West Sacramento. By the way, it costs $14 for this little burger, fries and a root beer - What a flippin rip-off! If you eat here, you will get sick too.

The food? Oh, bless their hearts, they're out here dropping frozen chicken nuggets and frostbitten fries on the floor like it's an Olympic sport, only to scoop them up, dust them off, and chuck them in the fryer anyway. Yep, that's right--'floor spice' is officially part of the recipe, per their genius company policy. I guess when your slogan is 'Root Beer & Regrets' meets 'Finger Lickin' Filth,' you've got to improvise. And the workers? Poor souls look like they're auditioning for a zombie apocalypse movie--overworked, underpaid, and probably plotting a mutiny with the leftover mashed potatoes. Management treats them like they're disposable napkins, which is ironic because I didn't even get a napkin with my order. I asked for extra sauce, and the cashier glared at me like I'd just asked her to donate a kidney. Can't blame her, though--after surviving a shift in this grease-stained gulag, I'd be salty too. The food itself? Tastes like a science experiment gone wrong--half-cooked, half-frozen, and 100% regret. My root beer was flatter than my hopes for decent service, and the chicken was so dry it could've doubled as sandpaper. Save your money and your dignity--eat literally anywhere else. One star, only because zero isn't an option. A&W and KFC: where dreams, hygiene, and employee morale go to die.

Our usual fare is a box of dark meat, pieces of 8 for just under $18. Always good in the past, except for this time it was so bad. How bad? We will never come here or any other Krispy Krunchy again. It's just not worth making the drive home, then expecting to sit down to a enjoyably tasty meal after we take care of feeding our dogs and then end up getting sick over it. Not the nauseous throw up kind. The oil irritated my wife's throat and caused her to get a scratchy throat the next day and made her sick. As soon as I got one bite in, I realized a fishy smell, the breading was hard, fused to the meat and the meat itself was dried out. Now mind you, this is dark meat which is supposed to be way tenderer and juicier than white meat. My wife used to work at KFC years ago and she knew that one of the issues was it was cooked in old oil. The other issue was this was old chicken (cooked days prior) that has been sitting under the warming lamps for way too long. We love to support the private and small business operators but we expect to get what a professional food business advertises, good food and won't get us sick from their negligence in straying from their Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). That means knowing when to dump the old oil and use fresh oil. The other is to throw out meat when it's no longer suitable for human consumption. For us, it's KFC here from now on. I've never been so disappointed from getting food from a gas station. This is from a person who loves the hot dogs at 7-11. I have also bought many times home cooked Tacos and Tamales from a gas station and never have been disappointed in all my years of driving 40+ years into a gas station. You've been warned...
