I heard and seen the hype. Now, I went and experienced it first hand. First impression, staff was very friendly and welcoming. As we came upon our booth, it was a bit dirty. No biggie, they cleaned the table top again and brushed off all the crumbs. Lol brushed with their hand. But who cares right? It's about the food that really matters. Hmm. Lots of breakfast items and lunch. The waitress was just super. Checked up on us from time to time. There wasn't a time where I had to save my hand to get their attention. Excellent. I ordered the French toast. Absolutely delicious. Caramel with pecan was sweet enough so I didn't even use the syrup. It was literally a piece of sourdough dipped lightly in batter and cinnamon. It's more toast lol but it was still good. Then I ordered the Huervo Ranchero with carnitas. Pork was very tender and overall very very filling. The tortillas were a bit crispy however. My wife had the fried steak skillet. That's where it did me in. It did not taste good at all. I had the runs afterwards. Didn't know if it was any one of the food item above or just the skillet but the skillet tasted off. The meat was the worst tasting country fried steak ive ever had. The gravy was like eating plastic. I could not bear it. But again, service and waitress are just super nice and I didn't want I make a big deal there. So we paid, and left. I would've given them a much lower rating, but some of their food were pretty good and they do have friendly staff members. Plus the customers were pretty down to earth. Even though I had to use the restroom afterwards, it's still a hot spot. Personally, i would not go there again. read more

I've lived in Rancho for over 30 years and have frequented this place a lot! I got my order from door dash today and my eggs where spoiled. I know a rotten egg when I taste one. I called the restaurant to let them know and the person who answered the phone offered for me to come back and get more eggs, lol. I told her why would I get more eggs if their spoiled? It wasn't the difference between scrambled and over easy, the egg is spoiled! She said, "they prepare them everyday" still not getting what I'm saying! The eggs they prepared are spoiled!!!!!! She said she would let the kitchen know and then sat silent on the line. I doubt she let the kitchen know and I bet you people will get sick and that others complained also. One of the best diners I've been to in Rancho Cucamonga! It was a super big place yet all the tables were filled today. Only waited 10 minutes for a party of 4 The staff was super friendly. Especially my party's server and the manager. The server accidentally spilt the syrup and a little splashed on my cousin (it was really no big deal, we all understand it happens. Especially when all the dishes are big and filled with so much food) and they took off one dish off the check. That was really nice of them!!! We really appreciated it Country feast: with country fried steak and gravy, home fries, biscuits, and eggs. There was so much starch on this plate, wish they drenched the entire thing with more gravy, instead of just the country friend steak Santa Fe scramble: this was my favorite dish. The carnitas was so flavorful. We replaced bell peppers with spinach Chorizo and eggs: the chorizo was good, came with tortillas with hash browns Bananas and berries French toast: the French toast was really bland, we would've been good without this dish Definitely coming back when i spend my weekends up in Rancho!! read more

I got a bahama mama skillet which was really good. I got a biscuit on the side instead of muffin. The biscuit was really crumbly and fell apart as you cut it. We got tea to drink and the pot that had the hot water didn't seal so we had room temperature water for our tea. Tried to tell our waiter that but she was gone majority of the time, didn't really check up on us. All in all this place gives you quantity and quality when dining in. read more

First for the positive. We were seated quickly and received our coffee/water quickly. The food was decent and portions were decent as well. Not spectacular, but decent. My coffee cup stayed full and the staff was attentive. Now for the negatives. It took about 30 minutes to get our food and the restaurant was not by any stretch full. For breakfast and lunch, this place is a great spot for nicely-done basics like omelettes, skillets, burgers, sandwiches, etc. Over the years I've come in periodically with the family, especially for breakfast. The staff is generally friendly, and on weekends the morning wait can be long... Like up to 30-45 minutes. It can get that packed. It just shows you how many other people enjoy this place. I've never experienced bad food here. On the service side, it can be slow, and sometimes you can be forgotten. But it's no biggie. You simply have to flag someone and they get right on it at that point. In spite of the good, down-home food, I'm giving a weak review on principle. I had their breakfast veggie skillet. I asked to add one ingredient: a little ham. The server cheerfully said, "Sure, we can add that!" When the bill came, it was a whopping $5.69 charge on top of the skillet for $13.99. Why would one measly ingredient addition raise the price by 40%? I asked the cashier about it. She checked with a manager who confirmed that's the cost. Is it worth arguing about? In the grand scheme of life... No. But is it plain freaking wrong? Absolutely, yes. Oh well. They're not hurting for business, and their food is in fact good. Went here for lunch today around 12. There was a party in front of us but they were helped by an elderly woman who seemed like she was ready to retire. Idk if shes the owner or what but she looked so miserable and sounded even more miserable. I was thinking to myself gosh I hope she doesn't seat us. She didnt. There was a nice, friendly young waitress who seated us quickly and said our waitress would be with us shortly. Then came the waitress who also looked and sounded miserable. She had the most monotone voice I've ever heard and spoke so low, I could barely hear her. Nevertheless, we ordered...i had the jalepeno cheeseburger protein style. It said it came with crispy fried Jalepenos which I LOVE and order anytime I see them on the menu! It came with a choice of sides and I ordered the chicken and rice soup. Others in my party ordered the Denver omelette and the French toast combo. The drinks came first. I only had a water, others had juice. (The water tasted like nasty unfilyered tap water) I couldn't even finish it and I was thirsty! I asked for bottled water (that I could buy) but she said they didnt have bottled water. So I only took sips as needed. The chicken and rice soup came first and looked like porridge, it was so thick and white but when I tasted it...man....it was the best chicken and rice soup I ever had! I licked the bowl clean! Then came our food, my burger was wrapped in an entire head of iceberg lettuce! I literally peeled back like 10 layers before I got to the burger. I hate iceberg lettuce and that was my fault for not asking if it was romaine or not. The burger itself was just ok. Bland and my Jalepenos were not fried! They were big and raw. The chipotle sauce was the only thing tasty on it. The others said their food was just ok. My bill came to $50! Very pricey for breakfast for 3 people and 2 of us had waters. I waited for the waitress to return to pick up my payment but she never did. After about 15 min waiting, I just took it up to the front to pay. Not sure if this is procedure or not but they could at least mention it upon bringing the check. I also saw the same elderly lady as I was waiting to pay and one of the workers was trying to ask her a question and she rudely told her to wait! Somebody let that lady retire please! 1st I want to say that I've been to this place many time and love the food. I ordered the Biscuits and gravy and the gravy tasted like water was absolutely horrible. I told the waitress and all she did was go to the back and tell the cook this is the 2nd complaint about the gravy. It was basically ohh Well eat it haha. So just before I left I told the manager Juan that the gravy tasted horrible. He said its the same and said I'll give you your tea for free. I replied don't worry about it I'll pay full price . So the menu was cut in half I'm really hoping that's not the case with their food and going with cheaper recipes. I'm a regular here. Its been over a year since I've come to this restaurant almost religiously. I always get the crispy country chicken scramble for two reasons 1. It's delicious 2. I get a blueberry muffin with it (also delicious). You can't really mess this one up, eggs, fried chicken, potato's, corn, tomato, cheese. Always on point. That being said, my friend split the scramble and a Patty melt with me. Ewwwwww!!!! I order my hamburgers medium well but this burger, well this burger brought a new meaning to well done. It was cooked to the point of no return. It was crumbly and inedible. The best part of this sandwich was the sourdough bread I love me a Patty melt, I thought that was something you couldn't mess up and I also love kick back Jack's but I think I'm not afraid to get anything that isn't breakfast. So in short, do get breakfast and don't forget to ask for a blueberry muffin instead of toast. And don't, get anything involving a burger unless you want inedible ground beef and to waste money. So the reason for this low rating is due to service not the food. I used to come here quite often with my family for breakfast/brunch because it's one of the few places in rancho that you can get a hearty breakfast. Well I hadn't been here in a while and today I was immensely craving breakfast food! So I called in to place an order to go..well whoever I spoke with was EXTREMELY RUDE! Now usually when I come in they folks are pretty nice but today I guess the hostess was having a rough day. I began to place my order and before I could ask to sub something she cut me off with a sharp "NO!" I was caught off guard because I didn't even get to finish my sentence before she just abruptly told me what I couldn't do. I then proceeded to ask if I could sub something and she kept saying "no you can't do that" in a rude tone (mind you I've gone there enough to know you can because I literally get the same dish everytime the exact same way with no issue) I asked how much it would be and she told me the surcharge but in a snobby tone and I just said "you know what thanks, but no thanks." Then I hung up the phone. The entire conversation she was rude and all I was doing was just trying to place an order. Little did she know, I'm the person that doesn't matter what the cost is..if I really want it I'll just go on and get it (because I was hungry and really craving breakfast food) needless to say ..that entire conversation is a result of me wanting to forever take my business elsewhere. I say all this to say that although the food may be good..I believe the staff should be just as good as the food. It's not okay to be rude to a customer just because they're wanting to personalize a dish. (I just didn't want eggs). One of the best breakfast plates I've ever had. This is my first review for this place but I've been here 5+ times. Portions here are big so make sure you don't order too much food like I do every time I go. Pancakes here are enormous, soft, fluffy and delicious. You could order a breakfast plate and two pancakes on the side and it would be enough for 2 people unless you want to stuff yourself like I do. My girlfriend ordered a turkey club sandwich once and she loved every bite. It also came with fries. This place does close around 2 or 3 same for the Claremont location so go early. When my girlfriend and I go we spend about $30 which is pretty good. Both locations are consistent with taste and flavor. So either location you go to you won't be disappointed.
